Looks yammy. Excellent tutorial , never know how to cook. Been craving for this for awhile. You definitely give me a an in-depth idea . Thanks girl. You’re a doll
Thanks for this video, I guess the african restaurants around here won't see me buy super kanja there anymore. I can now prepare my favorite dish. Thanks to you!!!
It looks so good!!!! I’ll have to make a plant-based version. I used to eat meat, fish & seafood so I know what flavors I’ll have to replicate. Might not be easy but I’m gonna try. Thanks for all the details!
Yes I add sea vegetables to get the fish flavor. Veggie stock for flavor. Basically everything else is the same. I’ve also made it with annetto oil instead of palm oil. Happy Vegan 🌱
Lived In The Gambia for two years and the food is amazing, but this is by far my favorite dish. I have been back in the U.S. for about a year and a half now and have been craving it. This recipe looks amazing and I would like to try to make it myself instead of making the 1.5 our drive to ATL. Can you post the recipe with ingredients?
Looks delicious, I cooked yesterday, prep time takes the longest but it was delicious! I will try your version next time, it looks simply delicious‼️🙏🏽🥰
hello good evening i just subscribed to your channel i love your method of preparing this i have watched a lot videos and yours is super good well done. please i have a question im a nigerian and majorite of our customers are from senegal is this soup the same as (nigerian okra soup)? ou i guess its all about variation is any different ? thanks
Hello Roselle, I have eaten Nigerian Okra soup before and would say it's a bit similar but still different, this is a senegambian way of cooking it. Thanks a lot for subscribing, u are welcome to the family
@@LifewithSammysTreasure ok thanks for your feedback. Please can you list the items for me I mean the Senegambia style items. I will rewatch the particular video thank
That look delicious. Do you order seasonings & maggy cube from an African store or did you buy them online. Also do you have a video on how to make the cowfood?
For regular beef or lamb meat, no specific time cuz I add my Okra and other ingredients as soon as it start to boil, but if u you want to add other harder to cook meat like tribe or cow foot, I precooked those and add them at almost the end of the cooking, don't throw away the broth used to cook the precooked meat.
Either fresh cleaned makrel or the store canned ones, clean it, put in the oven and bake or broil untill alm the water is dry. More like a smoky brown.
@@LifewithSammysTreasure thanks soo much sist💯💯💕💕there was once I tried to used my oven for the prep of the smoke mackerel but it took ages before it turn brown an I just gave up🤩🤩
Supa is my absolute favorite. Thank you for sharing the recipe. 🥰

Original super kanja
That look delicious. Do you order seasonings & maggy cube from an African store or did you buy them online.
Also do you have a video on how to make the cowfood?
Yes, I get them at the African store. Do u mean cow foot?
Do a video on how to eat the crabs. Also maggi cubes contain the toxin MSG.
Lol, these crabs are not hard like the big red crabs, they are the blue ones sonita easy to eat and break.
@@LifewithSammysTreasure well, do mukbang because I don't see how y'all eat them in soups/stews
Do the mackerel have bones in it?
No mine doesn't but even if u get the one that does, its a middle bone, soft and chewable but easy to remove. Thanks 4 watching
How many packs of okra did you use please?
5
What is the purpose of the palm oil?
It gives it a palm oil taste but it can also be optional, people dmtgat don't like palm oil cook it without it. Still tastes good.
look good but PALM OIL NO MAA'M. The history is not good. Again way way oily.
Nice
👍🏾👍🏾
How long do you let the meat to boil

I do it at 400° for an hour, try broiling instead of baking
Hi Sammy how are you doing please can I have some for lunch 🤝🤝🤝😘😘😘
Yow leka rek😂🤣
Lol @Marcel, I will send u some soon.
So where is the actual recipe including ingredients
What are your vegetables please ?
Bell peppers, onions, scallions and a few optional jalapeño peppers those are the ones I blended.
Thanks sis big love ❤️
You're welcome. Thank u too
How long to cook cow foot
With the pressure cooker it only takes abt 25mins but without it, it will take almost 2hrs depending on how old the animal was
Li chi supa😋👍🏽
Yessoooo.

Next time please write the ingredients
This is giving me gumbo vibes lol gumbo is okra soup with seafood and/or meat
Well gumbo comes from African ancestors that where brought to America and kept some of there culture
@@Trini190 where I'm from we've preserved our african heritage gumbo and jambalaya are just a couple of things to mention.
It has seafood and meat
@@LifewithSammysTreasure 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 yaaaas It’s the ancestral connection for me!!!!
I heared Gumbo is good but I've never tried it, I believe it's similar to this.
Cassava leaf and 0il
