Thank you for this video. I'm American and my husband is Ivorian. And this is my favorite dish. I'm bringing home a lot of the leaves so I can make this dish throughout the year.
I had the privilege to eat a Sierra Leone type potato leaves stew, must be the most exotic and fascinating dish i've ever had . I had seconds 4 times, tasty like heaven. Merci pour la recette et bisous aux Guinéens :)

Merciiii🙌🏽
Sierra leone potato leaves are the best, potatoes leave is not supposed to boil,it has too much water.
The potato leaves go in last and you don’t add water. It must be dry fry.

Can we use *geisha fish* if we don't have the mackerel fish that you have???
I never tried it yet, but I think it would be a good subtitute.

With the meat in it u putting a green
At 0:25 the only seasoning you used for the meat and crabs were salt and nothing else??

What is the Vegetable mixture you put in it
For the vegetable mixture, I mixed onions, green onions and habanero peppers.
Too much water Potato leaves don't need a lot of water plus it doesn't need to cook for a long time.
Noted, I appreciate your feedback!!!
@@DashofDalindagood you take correction, too much water and boiling makes it to get bad smell
Exactly
Dry fry is the way to go. The leaves go in last
At 4:15 what vegetables did you blend? cause in the whole video you never showed us what vegetables were blended it's not even mentioned in the description box either
The blended vegetables [onions - green onion (scallions) and habanero (scotch bonnet) pepper]
Is it necessary to use palm oil?
Hi, it is mostly made with Palm oil and I've always use it for this dish. Not quite sure on this, what oil are planning to use?
@@DashofDalinda like Skull oil
You could used vegetable oil too if you want.. Some people use just a little bit and really comes out nice …
As an African woman we are taught to use the wooden spoon to stir our leaves sauce or any slimy sauce like okra ❤️❤️
