That was great dude... I'm thinking of getting the carbon pro 365 with a 10hp....fast enough for me buddy.... Maybe 12 to 13 knots with the 365.... Who knows... Great video and test.... Subbed.... 😊
Are you still using this outboard? I have a 3.5hp but am looking to buy the new 9.9hp 4 stroke tohatsu. I am assuming it will be in around 16mph for my Excel explorer 300.
Honestly pal I would not recommend it! Try and pick up the new model Yamaha 9.9 much better wee engine slightly heavier however a lot smaller and easier managed
@@ryanferris7841 Thanks for the reply. At the moment I have a 5 hp mercury 2 stroke. It's not so reliable and noisy. So the tohatsu will be a great upgrade 👌
Great set up that, I just bought the same engine for my honwave t35, pushes it along lovely... Impressed with it so far.
Thanks
i have the excel volante 360 with 18hp tohatsu and its fairly fast if need be. nice set up you have there

Thanks so much!! I would recommend the carbon pro over the vanguard any day, it’s a better sea going boat good luck
Great honest review.Thanks for sharing
Thanks!!
Very nice, lots of fun 😀
What hole is your engine trimmed at? I have a 9.8 Tohatsu 2 stroke and gt a lot of splash back on the transom of my 3.3mtr hydro force inflatable.

Yes I still have it however I also have a Yamaha 9.9! The Yamaha is a better engine in my opinion smaller more compact and easier mananged
Ok thanks mate.
You have some good videos on here👍
@@kierangrimley6978 thanks mate!! I hope to make more content like this however it’s getting the weather and the boats 😂
I should have also asked, does the 9.8hp get those boats on the plane ok?
@@kierangrimley6978 definitely! However anymore than 2 adults you need a 15hp
Do you still have this engine would you recommend it I’m on a tight budget and fount a used one in nice condition

Hello, How do you find the tohatsu 9.8 now? I have been looking at ordering one
very good lightweight quiet easy to start!! And in my opinion potentially the best engine in its class!!
@@ryanferris7841 Thanks for the reply. At the moment I have a 5 hp mercury 2 stroke. It's not so reliable and noisy. So the tohatsu will be a great upgrade 👌
@@Dazza_Chan absolutely it will be a mega upgrade the difference in speed will surprise you
Where is that slipway ??
Ballygally Co Antrim
what is the speed on this boat with 2 adults?
With the 9.8 plus 2 adults the speed is between 14/15 mph 👍
@@ryanferris7841 thanku
Nice setup 16mph thats with two people on board on your own shouldn't be far of 20mph, 👍
Thanks!! However with 1 onboard the top speed is the same just better acceleration 👍🏻
Yeah thought it was a 15hp ,very nice
@@Dayfisher someday mate! 👌
