Thank you Kamerastore & Olympus for the great customer service and for instantly replacing the camera. Lesson learned - check your light seals before shooting :)
@@lewisfernandes8114 if seals around the lens, you can check by pointing flashlight close to the lens and move it around little bit while you see the back lens (film back open). if u see light pass it means light seals around lens was leaks.
I borrowed this from a friend while ago and I was surprised how sharp it’s 35mm F2.8 lens is, the great metering and accurate autofocus. Really enjoying these kind of videos. Thanks and blessings to you all!
Hah, same here! I've had two of these and without the leaks it's incredible but with them it just adds a bit of spice :) Stoked to make more videos and thanks for watching man!
I got so inspired from I am going right away to purchase one of these as my first film camera ever, found one nearby for 100$ with extra film roll and film development, cool stuff! Love the content, subscribed!
Great camera. I bought mine new when everyone was going digital and before film cameras became trendy again. But, I’m more interested in what you used to record this video. Great quality!
Absolutely Beautiful Video, excellent work capturing all my attention, thoroughly surprised you don’t have millions of viewers, I hope you will one day 🙏
I use the Olympus mju II zoom 170 best compact point and shoot camera series EVER! Review video on my channel. I paid just £10 used 2nd hand off ebay for it many years ago when digital photography was getting more popular, these little 35mm compact cameras were very cheap, not now though, for very good reason, they have almost reached cult status, due to their timeless design, quality build and superb results for absolute minimal effort! I also have the original mju I purchased new the 1990s.
Cool photos! Do you think yashica t4 is super lepsi or worse? I'm thinking yashica t4, mju ii or olympus xa. Without looking at the price of a yak has the best pictures? Thanks for your answer
Oh man I have the Mju 1 in black and the Mju 2 in silver and was considering selling them. Now I may have to keep them. Fantastic video, very inspiring.
How are you guys focusing with this camera? I get so many out of focus shots compared to other point and shoots. Especially when i shoot people. Should i stop putting the crosshairs on the eyes and maybe aim for the shirt or a more contrasty spot?? Since it is 2.8 or slower i know if don't need to focus on face but i think it is habit. Any advice?
I got myself a mju ii at a flea market last week for the amazing price of only 1€. Its an amazing little camera yet it is very hard for me to understand what justifies a 200€-300€ price point. For a plastic point and shoot camera they are severely overpriced...
Thank you so much Tiffany, most often the flash comes by accident when I forget to turn it off but sometimes use it intentionally when the light is tricky and flash makes the photo better :)

Nikon L35AF is a better compact camera under $300. Konica big mini, Olympus XA series (XA4 my fave), Minolta Freedom Escort (aka Leica Mini), and a few more are also a better value.

Glad you enjoyed! I used Kodak Portra 800 in this and now sort of liking them too, although they are not what you want when they are not expected at all.
its one of the sharper point and shoots but honestly the MJU ii is wildly overpriced because of Tik Tok. Its a great starter camera but the artificial spike in cost won't last when people realize the long term costs of film/developing.
After 11 months It's still going up. Price won't drop as the camera in the market gets fewer and fewer. It already has a cult classic status so I disagree that the price will go down.
@@BEM_01 Once the demand goes down it'll also drop. that'll take a couple steps before people realize the cost of developing, and how these older film cameras are just not reliable. until then of course its still going up !
@@RemmyMusic1 Nope not really. It being unreliable making the well kept copies more scarce and fetch higher price. Kindly note that these are not being produced anymore and will never be again! As the working copies gets much fewer, it will equal to higher prices. This concept works for every collectible hobbies not just cameras. and what the lense does your camera have?
The camera has fixed 35mm f/2.8 lens and I do some minor tweaks. Mainly adjusting the temperature and shadows.

WHat's the difference between the portrait 400 & 800?
Primarily how light sensitive the negative is (ISO 400 / ISO 800). With that, Portra 800 is also a bit more grainy.
