Great to see all the books you got in Ashland, Amy! Like you, I couldn't resist picking up 'The Crescent Moon Tearoom' at Bloomsbury. ☺️ The cover and synopsis were just too enticing! I'm *also* on the lookout for more cozy authors (like Freya Sampson) in many genres. Here are the three books in Grace Carroll's Accessories Mystery series. #1 - Shoe Done It (2011) #2 - Died With a Bow (2012) #3 - Murder After a Fashion (2013) I read them all years ago but don't remember much unfortunately... 🤷♀️ Aren't used book shops the best? It's like going on a treasure hunt! ❤ Those court reporter books look really interesting... 😁 Thanks again for sharing! ~ Kim
Thank you Kim! The Crescent Moon Tearoom definitely had a gorgeous cover. I hope we both love it 💜I'm excited to try the Accessories Mystery series out.
What a great book haul! It must have been so hard to resist buying more while at the Mystery Festival. I just picked up A Doomful of Sugar by Catherine Bruns from the library. I can't wait to get to it! It has such a fallish cover. 🍂
Tamara Berry is so sweet! She sent me a whole series and signed them! The Wilde mystery series. Seance’s are for suckers it’s cute! You should look that series up
Just got the newest in both Korina Moss and Mindy Quigley series, Fondue of Die and Rest in Heavely Pizza. And Carlene new O'Connor traditional mystery You Have Gone to far. There were a few more Kindle Kindle books (including Wednesday pick's) and used books from TriftBooks. Might have to check out Emmeline Duncan's other series. Love coffee, tea and books.
Nice haul! I look forward to hear your thoughts on them. I just finished In the Blink of a Pie by Catherine Bruns. It was fantastic as is the entire Maple Syrup mystery series.
I’m finishing the 3rd vintage cookbook series by Ellen Byron. It took me a bit to get into but now I love it. I’m alternation with a Laura Child tea shop mystery and on audiobook Kate Carlisle bibliophile book Birds of a Feather. I just got Gigi Pandini’s accidental alchemist and May start that next. She’s one of my top 5 favorite authors. I don’t do a lot of paranormal or fantasy and when I do it’s usually urban fantasy or magical realism. There is a character who is a gargoyle so I’m a little nervous it might be too supernatural for me. Gigi is a master crafter of books that feel like puzzles and she’s the closest to Agatha Christie I’ve found so I’ll probably give it a shot. I know someone who read this series and is obsessed.
Am I swooning over this haul? Yes, I most certainly am! The victim in Flat White Fatality was one of those characters who is so annoying you can't help but hope they're the one who gets bumped off. Horrible, but true. You'll see when you read it. When you showed the cover of Defending Angels I literally said "Oooh" out loud. I vote you read that for Halloween!
Love all these! I just added so many to my TBR hahah I just ordered one u may like it’s called Murder at Midwinter Manor by Anita Davidson. Have you heard of it? I think it’s like 1920s cozy it looks so good
What have you recently bought or picked up from your library? 💜

Eric Maisel wrote/edited a great book on journaling that’s a compilation of journaling experts.
That sounds amazing! I'll look into that 💙
