Thank you for the flower tutorial using the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Die I have not seen this technique before it is a beautiful flower I will definately try this
Thank you so very much for sharing this technique. I have that die but barely use it except for roses now I have another flower to make from the same die. Again, thank you.
I just got this DieSet and Happy to see you did a video on them! I love your tutorial videos and just want to say Thank you for sharing these. Your video on binding a mini chipboard album really helped me out a few months ago. So anyways, Thanks again for making these, your very talented! :)
Nice video! I have been thinking about getting this die.. I love making my own flowers! Here is a tip.. You can use a piece of foam or a mouse pad instead of having to press into your hand! Makes it easier for me anyway.. just thought I'd let you know! Have a blessed day :)
Great tutorial and beautiful flowers! I have the same paper tool to shape the flowers and I use "fun foam" instead of my hand to shape the flowers. I bet that would save some wear on your hand! Lol TFS
I just had to say...THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!!!! This tutorial makes the most beautiful flowers...and you explain everything perfectly and make it fun. I'm embarrassed to say how many times I've watched it =) ....thank you for sharing your technique. Take Care.
Charlie, Very pretty. McGill makes a Paper Blossoms pad for embossing flowers and if you cannot obtain one you can attempt a mouse pad but they vary in thickness "sizes".
I enjoyed this video - iIwill try it sometime! That would hurt my hand after a while - I use fondant everyday, I am a baker too, I use a silicone mat for fondant and I use a heavy foam mat for scraps - u got tough hands I think : )
love this tutorial, I'm thinking of making something like this. uhmm I just want to know can I use this tattered florals by tim holtz with my spellbinderGC? hoping for your response thanks :)
Hi there, thanks so much for your message. I used 190g card - the same weight as i use for the pages of my albums. Its heavier than card stock but not as thick as chipboard . Bw :-) C
You can get whole 8-14 piece SETS of flower shaping tools for $.84 to $1.03 WITH FREE (slow) SHIPPING on AliExpress. Use any combinations of some of these terms: Fondant Cake Decorating Flower Sugar Craft Modelling Tools Clay Fondant Cake Decorating Tool. They even include a flat leaf-shaping tool shown on the other end of the one "Spirit" shows at the beginning of the video. I found the tool she uses on eBay years ago but it was $5 with almost an equal amount for shipping. I was also interested in the PUNCH BUNCH tool kit which was unavailable for YEARS but is now being sold on AMAZON for $18.
Good video. Would have been nice if you had fast forwarded thru the repetitive steps (like inking all the flowers) which would have left SOME time at the end to get a decent look at the final flower, maybe even a close-up shot! And what is it that you keep calling "cardboard"? As there are many unanswered questions before mine, I guess I'm not really expecting an answer. Too bad you don't stay on top of your video comments...if your viewers take the time to comment and have a question, you should at least periodically check your videos for that, and try to answer their questions. Just a suggestion!
"cardboard" is the paper she is using here, and she said what it was in the early part of the vid. I don't live in England so did not try to remember what kind it was, nor the price.
LOL......this could go from 14 minutes to 7 iminutes if she used a few short cuts including the use of sponge foamie instead of her hand......I think I can do six to her one with the sponge foam......:)
It seems really odd to me to continually address your audience as "ladies". Seems even odder to assume that all are ladies when the very product you are using was made by a man!
Happens all the time in paper-craft (and other) videos. It's one of the reasons I decided to try and make time to blog for the "invisible" male crafters.
Beautiful flower! A lot of simple easy techniques. Nice die too.
Thank you so much for this fab tutorial, I just did my take on these flower dies, but linked your video as your tutorial was so helpful. Tfs Tinax

Thanks so much for sharing this with us!
So beautiful.. But I advise you to use a sponge pad for pressure that petals I think it's hard for you hand if u pressure it ..
Thanks - I have this die and haven't really used it enough!
Ooh thanks! I've ordered this die online yesterday...i want to try it with fabric!
a mouse pad works great instead of the hand. And it only requires light pressure and is super quick. A piece of craft foam will work as well.
Great tutorial! Tfs.
Very pretty flowers.....What card stock are you using......Thx :)
I have this set what do you do with the one cut you do not use ? Love the video very nice. The one on the bottom right
Thank you. Very nice tutorial.

Good to hear that, Steve! Couldn't find your blog using Google - got a link?
Sure! Thought RUclips doesn't really like links so work some magic to get there. stevejenks(dot)blogspot(dot)com
Ladies is fine with me, so many of the demonstrators call us you guys. That is a real turn off.
I hate the word guys when I was doing a coaching course and stuff they called us guys all the time
I can never understand half of what you Aussies & Brits say because of your cadence. Sometimes you guys seem to be muttering under your breath.
