Yesterday we used tank lb3 but we did cachexia 2 perfectly we didn't need it, but then wiped after to the TB since the offtank didn't have aggro over our ninja so it killed everyone in the party.
I cleared last week and I gotta admit.. ..My peanut-sized DRG brain STILL has a hard time with the Polynomoid Safe Spots AND turning around for this. I genuinely don’t know what it is about it since I have the rest of the fight entirely on lock. Edit: this fight is a joke, how did I even get tripped up before lmao. I don't understand how people struggle with cach 2, it's probably the easiest mechanic in the fight if you know how cach works in general. The hardest part is doing that one + × puzzle right before it without eating a damage down. Hardly any time to get to the safe tile before her cleaves go off... but you have almost an entire minute to look at your dbuffs and position yourself during cach 2.
I feel the same, cach 2 has very easily identifiable safe spots and there's plenty of time to get to where you need to be. Butttt people freak out and overthink it.
Man… I had an enrage prog/clear party. I brought up that most of us (6/8) survived and performed cach2 correctly. Me: “nice! I think we should save for dps lb3” Person: “nahhhh. Let’s play it safe and go for clear not speed run.” Next run, nobody had any debuffs, markers were in right spots, I felt it in my gut NOT to tank LB3…. … 1% enrage.
I mean you somewhat answered it yourself, you find the choros ixou + poly just before chach 2 harder while trying to not get damage down, but to me that part is incredibly easy. If you just stand in the square diagonally from the tethered + in the corner, wait for choros tell and then adjust into the safe spot you have plenty of time. Different people are able to spot different things I guess, not that cach 2 is hard but I will admit that I forget about turning sometimes at the end, but then I haven’t done that mechanic too often.
@@Catzillator Also part of tanking is focusing less on DPS numbers and more on boss positioning / mitigation. So the tank isn't distracted by positionals or their rotation, they get the mechanic down faster. And watch their DPS fail constantly.
@@CrashB111 Yeah tell that to my tanks who cant even invuln a tb and die 30 seconds into the fight or fail tank swaps and cleave the party "I thought other tank had aggro bro".
@@MementoMoriGrizzly Only reason that should happen is if you are doing P7S, cause the tank busters on it are different than all the other tank busters in the tier. Normally for a tank swap, you taunt once the cast bar appears. The boss will TB the target it had when the attack began, then immediately swap to the person who taunted after for the followup strike. On P7S only though, if you taunt during the cast timer it will just change targets and hit the taunting person instead. You have to actually wait until the full cast finishes and the animation goes off, THEN taunt. Which is very abnormal for how taunting usually works.
The Dancer who spends the whole castbar trying to remember where South is only to end up wrong enough to kill multiple people is incredibly real. Why's it always the Dancer. I swear to god.
Ranged dps are the worst players in the game. It's pretty ironic how they have the easiest class but still can't play. They dont need to position for attacks, dont need to stand still to cast and yet they always fail mechanics and do the worst damage.
@@MementoMoriGrizzly I've had this discussion with my friends before, and I think the problem is explicitly because Ranged Phys is too easy. Speaking from experience, you know what makes melee and tanks more likely to become good players? All the little things they find Fucking Annoying.
