Curtis 1238 & AC 35

Configuring my Curtis 1238 96v 550amp controller with my AC-35. I was having trouble getting this to work but found the problem. This controller was used by another to run an off brand induction motor so the parameters were for that motor. Now that I found the main culprit the motor runs great. I can now install my AC-50 into the vehicle and get this going. I know the wires from the controller to the motor are excessively long but those will be shortened and I will be using heavier gauge wire for that purpose. The video it just showing that the motor and controller now work smoothly. So stoked it now works. Time for the next phase of the conversion.

What is the program used?? How was the computer connected to the engine?

That is the 1314. It is a program specifically made for Curtis controllers. It works very good compared to others I have used

Im using the encoder supplied with the motor. It is built into the motor from the factory and I believe you do need it. Not sure if anyone makes a controller that does not use some sort of encoder.

This is a 96 volt nominal system. Max 120v.

@@rezairawan609 No. HPEVS is a company in Southern California that builds AC Induction motors for industrial carts and vehicles and many for mining equipment. They just use the Curtis controller because it is a good fit and good priced controller.
