The horse at 11:10. The Clydesdale style horse, I figured that the males actually tend to be slower than the females. I can see in this video that it's also true for them as well. I've had a couple, Male and Female same style horses both courser level 30, but the female had higher stats than the male. Thought that was interesting. :)
i rly like your videos and your voice. its relaxing listening to you explaining it, which means a lot in narrating videos, trust me. so, thx again for your videos^^
Does a horse have a better shot learning a new skill after training existing skills to 100%? Or can you do the training later after working out what skills to swap out?
Good video. I think it is important to add that every horse breeder should have a pearl shop cosmetic outfit because it increases your chances of gaining skills. You can put it on each new horse you level up and I usually get 16 to 18 skills, which makes getting a courser much easier. And while the idea of having a white pure bred with the high speed is appealing, in practice, it is not that useful. When running a 150 speed horse with sprint and s:insta accel, the overall speed is 350%. Trying to get through towns and sharp turns like the Heidel/Velia pass or leaving Altinova to Valencia, a 130 turn rate is a real hinderance. A 150 turn rate makes the horse much easier to control at full speed. Also, from what I have read and in practice, the “forechop method” increases your overall number of skills because it always give rng the option of giving you a skill that is really easy to learn.
I got a free T8 via attendance rewards awhile back and that turned out to be a white purebred female. I used a branding thingy at lvl1 and it got 18 skills.. and in the end I needed only 1 skill change from Fore Chop to S: Sideways. Not bad at all and It's now my main mount until I hopefully some year get a Dreamhorse.
Just got my first T8 and made it a courser after 19 coupons. It is the one with the big mane .. clydestale? the one where you said you never seen it with 150. mine has exactly that speed :D
Idk why, but it just feels cool to me watching videos loke this, people talking serious about a game, learning new statistics, its like im part of a giant wall street business :D
I only ever seem to get white purbreds, have yet to get a black. My male was a lot like the one in your video, roughly same stats though her was a courser and he had 154% speed with 156% accel. then I leveled his daughter, his spitting image in another purebred white and she also was a courser only 14 skills like her dad as well, but without gear her speed is a little over 158% and accel is like 157% she just turned out so amazing. Then I got a TA T8 from her (the white mutt one)... she is currently breeding with my potato of a T8 since I couldn't find anyone breeding out their T7 males and my T8 potato male was the only thing I had around with some breeds on him still (was saving him for my T7 female, but I got another T8 potato male I can finish leveling for her, he was also a purebred white), anyways her skills so far are 19/20 she is level 27 and has 152.4% speed 151.8% accel and turn and break are both mid 140s% I will finish leveling her and see if I can't get the speed to 155% because for a non purebred that's pretty darn good. Now for my issue. I don't know if I should sell her or her mom! I need the cash flow for my T9 attempts on my first T8 courser. The moms speed is amazing, but a T8 courser with 2-seater and 155% speed (if it ends up that high) would also be amazing! Plus her other stats are more rounded out and higher, except stamina, mom beats her stamina... Ugh choices... Was planning to keep mom (Aria) and now I may just keep daughter (Elaria). Though I guess I can hold off on selling them til I use up my potato's breed uses and then sell them. Who knows... maybe I will get the T9 on my next try and not have to worry about the attempts mula hit.
I know this video is 3 y.o. but maybe I'll get an answer "today". I have Tier 8 horse, color at 4:40 the black white one. he got 16 skills and i guess i used a skill delete or change coupon thing because i wanted him to be 2-seater. he's lvl 30 and has speed 151,0% accel 150,3% turn 144,4% and break 139,7% without gear... is this horse worth to invest getting him to cursor or should i keep breeding to get more tier 8 horses for maybe a better horse? because this one is my only tier 8... my bad luck in breeding keeps me stuck on tier 7...
So I just got a t 8 corser and its almost white it has black tail its an over all CRAZY SICK horse with over 150%+ on all 4 of them. And has 16 skills all perfect (used some pearls here hehe) So I was wondering, If i change the appearence to a PURE white horse will I gain 1 more skill? will i lose some %s? will i lose 2 seater? and like overall whats the downside and pluss side of it (premium appearence coupon)
Sorry for the late reply! Premium appearance coupons are the only way to gain additional horse skills after the horse hits level 30. However, it is still rng as to whether the coupon gives you a skill. Some people have to use 2-3 before getting a skill and others get a skill on the first coupon. Unlike the skill swap coupons, using the appearance change coupon gives the horse a brand new skill without replacing any of the skills the horse already has.
Do I have to train existing skills to 100% before having a better chance at learning a new skill? -Or can I do all that later. I have a Tier 7/ 8 skills/ lvl 22 male that's really slow on learning but speed is incredible for that level at 145% But now I have to get a new skill every level up now. Is it slow learning because I haven't been training the 4 skills not at 100%? I was going to get to 30 and swap out what I don't want instead-Thanks anyone
It is slightly low for a white t8. 155% base speed would be about the average, although some white t8s have hit 160% base speed. But yours is still faster than most t8s' base speed, so at least there's that. :D
I want to be able to breed my own t8 and make a courser out of it aswell and the route I'm taking is exchange horses route. My target is to try and get the black t8 horse because I really like the almost instant and little to no animation on the dift+install combo. I've been trying to snipe cheap t6s and just been exchanging them and try out my luck and so far have only gotten the t8a. Any thoughts?
Was the t8a a male? Buy 2 black t5 females (or catch them in the wild) and breed them with your t8 at level 30. That is a nice chance for a black t8. For some reason, t5 female + t8 male is been 90% t8 male foals, 5% female t8 and 5% female t7s for me. Amazing breeding combo!
Ive been watching your videos over and over and just now realized you were a small channel. you should keep uploading you have potential. Your voice is soothing and your a girl so thats a plus. Anyways I just started playing a month ago and ive spent most of my time taming horses to level up my training already.
Hello just saw your video and the last one you should I got from an exchange. But I have like 4 tier 7s black and white and white and black ones. By any chance you know if there good horses? BTW NJ with breeding some people spend lots of money but your luck seem to be pretty good. Only thing I bought was like you costume for reducing time takes to lvl them.
Breeding or exchanging a black and white t7 with the white and black t7 meets the requirement for producing both a white t8 or a black t8, so they are wonderful to pair together. I rarely spend money on horses in the game, but I did buy a branding stone for the one day I finally succeed getting a t9 lol
ProtoH4wk BDO Vids Sweet thank you so much info I'm currently breeding all my t6 so get as much T7 before I lvl them and breed. Did you use wagon on T7 or solo ride them?
When going for a T9 does the T8 you're using for that has an effect on the T9 ? Or would it be the best if you had two Courser T8's to just take one that is more bad than the other ?
The type of t8 does not seem to have any outcome on your chance for t9 as long as the t8 is a courser. Meganclare is right, use the one with the poorest base stats since the t9 will be a brand new horse.
I took a break from BDO and now that i returned, i cleaned up my stables and leveled a black t8 (with the initial intention to sell it) Currently she is at level 25 and has 16 skills, she is missing S. Instant Accel, S.Sideways and Quick Ride. I didn't use any pearl items on her yet, i am hoping that in the last 5 levels she will learn 2 skills so i can turn her easy in a Courser. I would appreciate any advice, since i did't play lately i might have missed any new tactics .
How did she turn out? Because I level so many tier 8s, I don't use pearl skill change coupons during the leveling up process. I do hang onto horses with 16+ skills with at least 5 of the courser skills, possibly to reroll into coursers at some point. Your black horse already met those requirements at lvl 25, so she is probably worth spending coupons on. If she isn't already 30, I would start failstacking with coupons on S: Sideways as that is the hardest skill to get. The road to t9 is long and fraught with real and in-game expenses; let me know if you succeed!
Sadly i didn't have luck with that horse but i did use a few coupons on another horse that was missing just one skill and now i have a courser. At the moment am farming for stonetail fodder...and it takes forever :D Until now i have materials for 1 attempt but i guess i will have enough time, since the Doom horse is not released yet. If i understood right , i can spend the materials in the 2 horses i want the most up to 100%. Then my chances should be 50/50, right? I would be happy with either Pegasus or Doom .
The Doom / Hell Horse isn't out in NA/EU yet, though, so that percentage is split evenly between the other 2 categories. You can have up to 180% now in one category (you have to put the other 20% in another category), but after 100% it takes twice as many materials per percent in that category.
A lot of things effect cost, such as how many breeds are left, and whether the horse is male or female (females are worth slightly more silver). Obviously the biggest impact on price are rare skills, however, and if the horse is a courser there is an additional bump in value. A decent non-courser will cost you at least 170 million silver, and coursers will be well into the 200 million range.
you said at ~ 9:10 you talked about the stats affecting skills, but in which video did you talked about it? Can you link it pls? edit: from what I saw on your channel this is your oldest video so... :/ Do you have a source for me which stats inflict what? My knowledge is, that all 5% the skills get better.
I never made that video on stats because I felt like people already had the info, but basically things like Turn and Brake make the Drift/IA combo better every 10% so 140.1% is not nearly as good as 150.1% (and yes, it has to roll over by at least .1% to count as the next bracket). When people level t9s, they are trying to get at least 145% in those stats because the granverre horse gear will add enough to push it over 150%. And base speed is more useful for those that just want to use Sprint/IA
@@protoh4wkgaming735 Yeah you said in the video, that you made a Video about this infos :D I just searched on RUclips for a source of it. I did hear its all 5%, but if you say 10% . @@protoh4wkgaming735 yeah the break and turn speed is pretty bad, I think with a higher turn speed I could much better in the air, atm. I am at 16.0% brake 146.1 But I'm missing 2 granverre items :) stirrups and shoes. That are my next target, but soo much glue... and I never go in water, I should do that some day :D i.imgur.com/Njxyu0I.png my Pegasus. (German Client) I saw yesterday a black Pegasus with 160% speed as basic... thats what I want :D i.imgur.com/nOBGHmM.png
Yes, different horses have different base stats to start with and the pure white will generally end up with high speed while the pure black learns better turn and brake
Interesting, I'm not really sure what the color count was on the gift horse tbh, it might not just have a white count (and it does have black markings on it). So you got the pure black t8? Those tend to have great turn and brake, so be sure to go for drift, IA and S: IA to get the most out of him
A lot of things effect horse prices. Females are more expensive than males, and rare skills add a lot to the base price. At level 1 the horse will probably still have its breeds left, which also increases the price. So the cost of a level 1 will vary from horse to horse a bit, but you will definitely need at least 120million silver
It really depends on if you have all your boss gear already and won't need the seals for anything else. The t8 with seals might not turn out to be a good horse, even though it is guaranteed to have S: IA (but you could always sell it). If you watch the market, you should be able to pick up a decent horse. Look for postings that cost at least 180 million because they will have at least a few of the courser skills. And of course, another option to get t8s without breeding is to participate in horse races. The trophy item can be exchanged for boxes that have a chance to drop a t8 horse.
Coursers are also very nice to use for breeding because the foal has a 50% chance to start with 2 skills instead of 1 or a 100% chance to start with 2 skills if both parents are coursers.
Your voice's so soothing. It's so relaxing to hear you. Btw great guide. How long time has you been breeding? I'm trying to get my white t8 horse, the oner you had at the beginning of video.
There are great t8s that are just missing something like s: sideways (which is a fairly useless skill imo) in order to be a courser. The only reason to strive for a courser is if you intend to go for t9 :)
Hi, quick question. I tried to snipe a T8 courser but I messed up and snagged up a 15 skill black horse. It's got terrible stats with 145 speed and 149 accel, 158 turn and 154 brake, seems like horrible stats however, he has 6/7 courser skills. So question is if I should sell him back into the market or try to get the last skill "S: Instant accel"?
Not a bad purchase! The stats that really matter on the black horse are actually decent on the one you snagged- which is the turn and brake. The black t8 is a good drift/IA combo horse and can often roll a little low on base speed. However, once you use that combo on him, he will be as fast as other horses, bc he is better at that specific combo than other horses. 15 skills 6/7 courser.. if it was mine I would probably risk rolling him into a courser. Plus, the hardest skill to roll is S: Sideways. S: Instant Accel shouln't be too bad to get. In the end it is still RNG though, so it is totally up to you. Maybe hang onto him for a bit and see if you manage to snag a full courser first.
the higher your trainer skills the better chance your horse learning a skill plus if traning put your horse a costume because it gives a chances of 10% seems low but i got 16 skill on tier 8 i used 8 coupons wait until lvl 20 then start using coupon

so what stat affect our speed when we drift > IA >S:IA ? someone said speed stat only affect sprint, I need some confirmation lol
break makes it so your drift can be shorter and more controlled which will make that combo faster
how much difference can 5% make in any stats ? i dont see like too much of a difference...
My t8 has 165 turn 163 brake (with gear)

Got my first t8 horse after fighting with horse farmer for 1 hour.
So horse appearance also effects on speed?
Yes, different horses have different base stats to start with and the pure white will generally end up with high speed while the pure black learns better turn and brake
i got pure black from 2 white horses how is this possible lol
127% speed and 138% turn is this good?
Which two white horses, and what tiers?
tier 7's one was from the remaster gift and other looked like 7I with darker hair and small dots in the body
Interesting, I'm not really sure what the color count was on the gift horse tbh, it might not just have a white count (and it does have black markings on it). So you got the pure black t8? Those tend to have great turn and brake, so be sure to go for drift, IA and S: IA to get the most out of him
hello can i ask how much is a t8 lvl 1
A lot of things effect horse prices. Females are more expensive than males, and rare skills add a lot to the base price. At level 1 the horse will probably still have its breeds left, which also increases the price. So the cost of a level 1 will vary from horse to horse a bit, but you will definitely need at least 120million silver
Hi thanks for the awesome vid
Do u recommend if I exchange 70 shakatu seal for the T8 horse with S:IA or should I just buy a T8 from the market?
It really depends on if you have all your boss gear already and won't need the seals for anything else. The t8 with seals might not turn out to be a good horse, even though it is guaranteed to have S: IA (but you could always sell it). If you watch the market, you should be able to pick up a decent horse. Look for postings that cost at least 180 million because they will have at least a few of the courser skills. And of course, another option to get t8s without breeding is to participate in horse races. The trophy item can be exchanged for boxes that have a chance to drop a t8 horse.
you seem to know everything about horses in this game. i have a tier 5 courser. does that mean anything or is it just bad?
camera31 you can use it for horse racing
Coursers are also very nice to use for breeding because the foal has a 50% chance to start with 2 skills instead of 1 or a 100% chance to start with 2 skills if both parents are coursers.
Your voice's so soothing. It's so relaxing to hear you. Btw great guide. How long time has you been breeding? I'm trying to get my white t8 horse, the oner you had at the beginning of video.
If your t8 is not a course, then it's a bad t8?
There are great t8s that are just missing something like s: sideways (which is a fairly useless skill imo) in order to be a courser. The only reason to strive for a courser is if you intend to go for t9 :)
@@protoh4wkgaming735 of course, everyone wants a t9.
Thanks for the advice ^^
wtf? i got my 7 coupon earlier still cant get normals:sideway and normal IA hahahaha
Unintentional ASMR?? I've watched this video too many times because it is some what of an asmr to me
So, that makes the black horse faster in my opinion.

I know this comment wont be seen but my T8 horse got 3 skills at level 7. Wtf are the chances -_-
the higher your trainer skills the better chance your horse learning a skill plus if traning put your horse a costume because it gives a chances of 10% seems low but i got 16 skill on tier 8 i used 8 coupons wait until lvl 20 then start using coupon
try to sell it on market. the higher the price the better the horse.
