    Nice video, an advice to your problem with the extra seeds, what I do when I have more seeds than what I need is I don't sell them, I harvest the fruit instead of the seed in the same amount of the extra seeds that I have and that fruit I sell it in the market, you can do a lot of silver by selling fruits, example I use Special Strawberry Seed cause people buy Strawberries a lot to use it in the alchemy stones.
    Example: When i haverst a plant and it gives me two seeds instead of one, the next plant I harvest the fruit and then keep harvesting seeds, if it gives me 3 seeds i'ts same process but I havest fruit in the next two plants, that way when I'm done with a fence I have 10 seeds to refill the whole fence but I also have fruit to sell, I never run out of seeds, never have too many bothering in my inventory and I do some millions of silver with strawberries.

      I would like to know if this method (harvesting fruit instead of seeds when we have enough seeds) also grants the by-products we are so desperately looking for.

    • @CyanPhoenix_
      @CyanPhoenix_ 4 года назад +1

      if you harvest you don't get byproducts, so if you're only doing farming to get a T9 it's not worth it.

    It's important to mention that, for xp farming(since you won't be using workers, waterways or scarecrows), the best cost/benefit in CP would be in small fences, since you get 12 spaces for 9 CP instead of 10 spaces for 10 CP on large fences.

  • @Metalharpey
    @Metalharpey 6 лет назад +5

    You get much more of those mats from pruning yourself x) also chance on hard/sharp shards so don't need workers really.

  • @xHannibal
    @xHannibal 6 лет назад

    Apparently you can do the quest that gives the shabby fence on each alt so if you are really desperate for space you can do that to max out your number of farms

    When i started farming i thought that letting plants get to 200% growth would give the most because it takes longer. It actually yields less resource, its a big nono. Its my tinfoil hat, but i seem to get the most byproducts when the plant is between 100%-120%

    • @Mmogurl
      @Mmogurl  6 лет назад

      After doing this for a long, long time, I've come to the same conclusion..so it's not a tinfoil hat! Although the system says at 200% you harvest less - I'm not sure if this relates to plant breeding or not. I will still get byproducts at 200% but it seems like less - not sure if it's my bias expecting less or not. But I completely agree with getting the most at 100%

    Another advice for those who don't farm a lot is to not use workers to clean the plants and do it yourself, i'ts the fastest way to level up your Farming skill and also a really good way to get Hard and Sharp stones to level up your weapons and armor pieces, plus you save in cotribution points and workers
    The downside of this is that you need to pay constant attention to your plants, some people use this method and others don't, if you don't have enough time i'ts probably better to put workers but you end up loosing a lot of experience, items and contribution points, anyway both options are good depending on what you want, i'ts your choice

      Park an alt at your farm, prune and check it every 30min or so. This lets you grind on your main and make money while being able to easily tend to your farm when needed.

    They simplified the recipes a little bit in a recent patch so you just need 20 of any of those by-products now, so you don't need to try and remember which needs 15 or 20 or 25 or whatever. I've got a similar set-up and am up to about 60 fodder atm, with very minimal effort. I'm also saving the mutant plants to get extra CP to get more farms XD.

    • @Mmogurl

      Yeah when I came back I realized pretty quick that it was taking 20 instead of 15 on some. I switched out to a bunch of plain fences and now have A TON of farms going. I should make a quick update video on that, but figured I didn't want to make it too conflicting. Wish you could just update videos with little snippets at the end x_X

    You don't need to place crops spaced. In fact, it's easier if you put them as close as possible so you don't have to move when pruning/farming.

  • @annee.7707
    @annee.7707 7 лет назад +1

    I rented 3 small fences from the npc near velia and it allowed me to get them without running back and forth. Also, the 3 cp fence is optimal as it gives you 4 crops. You can get 12 crop spaces with 9 cp, instead of 10 spaces with 10 cp....just a thought. I also had to go into farming and the material gathering is painfully slow, but at least Im having tons of fun ^^

    • @Mmogurl
      @Mmogurl  7 лет назад

      Hey I'm always learning so I don't mind the input! When I got my strong fences, the npc wouldn't let me buy another without planting the fence first. It was either a glitch or only happens with strong fences? I'll have to check that out again too for the sake of curiosity. So far I'm at 53 fodder..it's going to be a long time towards tier 9 lol

    • @annee.7707

      Oh i just started the whole process ^^
      Im about at 23% overall percentage of the training and i still dont have a 58 to gather materials at Kamasylvia, so I guess its for the long haul. There is a google document with the fence optimization, I found it at the thread on the forums. Worth take a look.Right now Im just spending money on Cron stones since its going to be at least 11 attempts before having a real chance if you aint that lucky ^^

      I really don't see a need to use them except they do make it grow slightly faster... what really slowing down the growth of the plant is when they become "red" when u need pruning and the other action that needs the player to take care of.

      Oh that might be the problem - make sure you use f5 when you're picking them and not actually harvesting them. You want the improve breed option because you only get the pieces when you go for seeds and not the actual harvest.

    • @Mmogurl
      @Mmogurl  6 лет назад +4

      You can use fodder for a lot of it, but not all of it. I think you can only use 90 of each item. It says on the info screen something to the effect of 90% of each item, 180% max in one area. Over 100% you only get half a percent for each item too so it's pretty rough if you try to do that. I'd suggest getting as much as you can of the fodder and then also going as much as you can of the strength area - because you can get the mats for it pretty easy on the marketplace.

    What do workers on farms actually do? And do goblins complete whatever they're doing faster than giants or does it not matter?

    • @Mmogurl
      @Mmogurl  7 лет назад

      They will prune and get rid of pests automatically when you place them on farms. Yeah Goblins finish fastest, then humans, then giants (who are the slowest).

    • @jasonenc4093
      @jasonenc4093 7 лет назад

      Ah okay, makes sense, so does that essentially mean the pruning process affects the rate at which the plants are ready to pick for seeds? I noticed the progress bars go past 100%. At what point are they ready for picking?

    • @Mmogurl
      @Mmogurl  7 лет назад

      Yep it will delay their growth rate..and they are ready to pick for seeds at 100%

    • @jasonenc4093

      And last question, when placing the fences, do the red and blue dots have any impact on the crops, or are they just to show where fences can be put down?

      @@awholelotta1173 Purple Mushroom Hypha is the fastest growing crop if watered and fertilized. I use Magical Wheat seeds myself which you get from breeding the special wheat seeds. They take 4-5hrs with no workers no watering or fertilizing I only Prune when they are at 100% or higher, right after I prune I breed. I keep doing this for a week or so and at the end of the week i have a couple hundred of each fruit and then process it all into stonetail fodder and sell straight to the market. Best way to farm them is rent 10 strong fence [ 100 cp in total ] and plant only blue seeds [ they have highest chance of getting byproduct.] As for extra seeds, try selling them on market place or just to vendor. As for what seeds you should farm, choise only seeds that cost 1 fence space and gives fruits that are worth something [ like fruit of magical power, fruit of nature]. As for farming level. Doesn't increase chance of getting byproduct. Also blue seeds have diffrent grown time.
