to people complaining about starvation strategy, first of all you can counter it, secondly it's not even that good, lastly you can just make a homerule that says if u dont feed your guys 2 times in a row they die/you lose the number of meeples you didnt feed in both turns
Wow! This was just in time. I searched dicetower for a review of Stone Age to show to a friend and clicked on it. Just as I clicked on it I noticed that it had been posted only 2 hours ago : )
I like the game, but I would like it a lot more without the cards. As for the starvation strategy, I don't like it, and it needs to be house ruled out. I created a cannibalism rule for Agricola, BTW. I never did like those begging cards.

It is a part of "Stone Age: The New Huts" and can be obtained either with Style is the Goal, or separately.

rules must be explained from the "who win" first. and then backwards
Would people recommend this or Kingsburg?
Can you store food turn over turn?
I haven't played this yet, but I love Kingsburg! I think it is funner than this looks, but can't really say for sure.
Thanks for the great review!

Really good review. Thanks!
The hut with a cost of 3 wood is an expansion hut. It's not part of the Stone Age base game.
painfully similar to Architects of the West Kingdom
Due mostly to the cards - this game is more tactical (react to the turn's resources), than strategic. I prefer the latter.
It was like if you were on my head D:
awesome!
Place the meaple to get "wood".
first
The "starvation strategy" seems to be a weak point in the game design. Guess I will skip this game.
