Returning to this trailer because, like Kevin said, the editor responsible for this trailer is very much an artist. The shock of the head shot at the very beginning was masterfully done and added so much weight to the marvel logo That appeared, sounds like the sound of the shell casing after the shot was bumped up as well for added emphasis.
Kevin and Mark need to get off there butts and write and direct a Netflix blade series. Kevin your brilliant !!!! Time to remind the world of that. Forget about tusk ( which was kinda better than people give it credit for ) if I win the power ball I will contact you and fund any project you want, double the money you need. LOL Kevin and Mark kick ass.

Metal as a genre has something primal about it, which is why I like it. You listen Metal with your gut as well as your ears.
They call that kind of kick playing “machine gunning”. Lars ain’t the best metal drummer but he’s on point in One. My fave Metallica tune.

Honestly this was one of the best trailers I have ever seen for a TV show. Though its almost unfair to have Punisher and Metalica in the trailer.
The Punisher isn't a 7-9 season tv show. Its 3-5 max. No fucking filler.

Yup. Ray Stevenson played an awesome Punisher. His gun handling skills were great. The weakness of the movie is Jigsaw. Too much of a cartoon character.
I like Tom Jane but his gun handling skills were weak and the plot was convoluted revenge.
Bernthal is actually a shooter AND a great actor. This is part of the reason why his version is going to kick so much ass.

MGSBigBoss77, you get it. Thank God not everyone on this comment section is a try-hard know-it-all 12 year-old who actually knows nothing. John Woo is Gun-Fu. Period.
Showrunner and writer is Steve Lightfoot who did A LOT if not most of the Hannibal TV show (did most of season 1-3, not sure how many seasons there were). Doesn't shy away from dark and disturbing. Some of the directors have worked on Downton Abbey, X-Files, UK version of Shameless, Torchwood, Dr. Who, Passenger 57, etc. Haven't seen a complete per episode directors list though. Another series I've seen mentioned as a potential is Moon Knight. Moon Knight like the Punisher you can't really do a redemption story with, since his path to heroism is basically, in part, his descent into madness due to the influence of Khonshu. One of the people involved with Punisher said another hero will be making an appearance (someone other than Micro). I'm hoping for Moon Knight and flipping the redemption story on its head. Then when he gets his own series use The Hood as the main big bad to start work on a Marvel Knights-ish series down the line, with Crossfire as an underling (master interrogator, expert brain washer, etc) and cross pollinate some more flavor into Jessica Jones. Pull in the new Ghost Rider somehow from Agents of Shield, and reboot Blade to a small degree with a Marvel Ultimate infused version in the sense that he shows up to see what happened to Stick. The Hood gets you connections to all of the existing Marvel Netflix baddies (aside from maybe Purple Man) who are down and out or scattered, as well as Hydra, AIM, Dormammu, etc.

@8:35 is what I love about the Batman v. Superman movie. They made Batman move and fight just like he does in the Arkham games, which has the exact fluid combat that you imagine is exactly how Batman fights.
I'm more pumped to see Punisher over Star Trek Star Wars or anything else ever!❤️

Yes, except for when Taye Diggs is all; "Watch my suit pilgrim" And we were expecting some deep shit to happen in the cinema. And he gets sliced by Christian Bale's character in merely two moves. I literary yell out saying 'what the....?' nah man two moves and he's dead? Whole cinema kinda chuckled too given the outcome of the scene. Kick ass film but black man still ain't doing shit in it cos he dies in'em way too soon, aww man!

It's supposed to be a nightmare. The show is supposed to be set after the events of Daredevil season 2. Season 2 introduced Castle and gave us his backstory of how he lost his family in this universe, and him targeting anyone he feels is responsible. So his own show is going to continue from there with him being the full fledged Punisher.

November 17th 2017 is when The Punisher Netflix original series premieres on Netflix the Latest trailer reveals the release date.
The rumor is that the series is going to drop on November 10th which is the U.S. Marine Corps birthday and also the day before Veterans Day.
This trailer gets you so excited the first couple times you watch you can't pay attention because you got to call somebody to tell them about it. Also dropping this Justice League weekend is genius.

Yes, Gun-Fu - the term was coined by Kurt Wimmer the director of Equilibrium. I think it was also called Gun Kata too. But a lot of Chinese Kung Fu movies used some great gun scenes - I think Jet Li did one such movie.
The Original Robocop had one of the best room clearing scenes ever , the warehouse scene after he becomes Robocop.

You should definitely react to Trailer 2, I almost didn't because I thought it may ruin some scenes for me but it just complimented the first one extremely well. It showed more of a storyline and honestly just simply some BADASS visuals of The Punisher just being himself....its worth it.
I've actually never seen The Watchmen movie. I just watch the trailer every couple of months and it's all I need out of an adaptation. The movie could only disappoint, but that trailer is a piece of art.

It's pretty safe to say that Marvel/Netflix will release this around the weekend of Justice League in cinemas. I think they did the same thing with Daredevil Season 2 when Batman Vs Superman came out.
So that makes two projects this year featuring Jon Bernthal where gunshots are synced with music. I love it!!

That was fun. I wish the close of Daredevil season 2 had given us this kind of egregious violence from Punisher... remember that fight scene at the end, Castle helps out with a few sniper shots and somehow justifies his participation? Like taking down an extra dozen nameless ninjas makes a difference. There should have been hundreds of them, something that would overwhelm Captain America, much less DD, and have Castle swoop in with a minigun or something, something more than Baze Malbus (Rogue One) but slightly less than Rambo (That machinegun scene in the 2008 version), something that really tells everyone, Hey, if Frank Castle wasn't here with all the over the top weapons and destructive attitude, it would have all been over for our heroes...
He's also an amazing actor in Shot Caller. It made me forget Shane, check it out if you haven't already.
I actually have heard the term "Gun Fu" before in reference to the Hardboiled movie. I also heard the of Car Fu, like in the Wanted movie and the live action Speed Racer.
Batman Retired in The Dark Knight Returns. One of the cornerstones of Batman lore, and he's retired in Batman Beyond, he's put out of action in Knighfall so Azrael has to take over, Dick Grayson's worn the cowl before, so there is a precedent for Batman retiring.

Speaking of thanking gamer culture - Tim Miller was creative director for the original Dawn of War opening cinematic.
In Equilibrium, they used the gun a martial arts style they were calling gunkata. I think, I'll have to watch it again to be sure.
I loved that part in Jaws when after Quint rants about "Kids these days", pops a fresh can of beer, chugs it like a boss, and crushes the empty beer can in a proud display of old-school rugged manliness, then looks at Hooper like "I'm King Shit around here" with a little eyebrow action. Then, just to be a dick about it, Hooper retorts by mocking Quint's display, kills his little bit of "drink" and sarcastically crushes his small plastic cup, then drops it like a mic while giving Quint a nice and subtle "FUCK YOU" face. One of my favorite dialogue free moments.

That shot of Frank releasing that gutteral scream as he unloads that machine gun... that animalistic rage of a man who's lost everything and will take out every single motherfucker who was involved. Damn, that's so perfect Punisher right there. Bernthal nails it. And this trailer nails it. And yes, the use of Metallica here is also utter perfection.
Glenn Welsh you really felt the pure unadulterated rage in that. It was like:"that pillar won't protect you mothertrucker". Instead of just shooting from the sides, he went full face!
John Wick is the best Punisher, which is why we liked those movies so much. If Bernthal and that creative team can do something similar or ad good, which ive been saying will happen since they announced him, itll be a smash hit

If I remember correctly, Marvel did the same thing when BvS was released.. They had released Daredevil Season 2 a week before.. I think they could do that again..

I love this trailer. It also reminds me of DOOM (2016) where the soundtrack sounds like gunfire while you shoot demons in the face.
Funny - my dad called it Gun Fu back when Equilibrium came out. I guess it is kind of low hanging fruit, but still cool to hear it in a 2nd place. -- Now tell Kevin to shut up and watch it again and leave his eyes open - he didn't even get the cuts timed to the music! Goddamn!

I know it was meant to be vague, but I had a much different take away from Dark Knight Rises. There'd be no reason for Bruce to ignore/not join Alfred in any setting - especially in the wake of the Batman "dying" as far as Gothamites were concerned. So I always assumed Bruce really did die with the bomb and the final scene was Alfred seeing what he always wished for Bruce.

I don't think it's a mistake to humanize the Punisher but it should be done sparingly. It should be similar to the Punisher MAX comics. It was mostly him going in there and taking care of business but you had a scene or two where you saw a glimpse of the broken man and sometimes it was a few lines in a monologue. One great example is when he kills a mother & father who were using their kids for child porn. Afterwards, he talks about how the girl (the youngest) might be okay because she might not remember, but it might be too late for her older brothers and he might be visiting them again in 20 years (you know what that means) and he ends the monologue by saying "Sometimes I'd like to get my hands on God." It's so simple and yet it says so much about him as a character.

I don't know if S.H.I.E.L.D. would be *that* overt in it's executions(metaphorically *and* literally). And I know, "they were gonna *nuke Manhattan* ". Fury is the director, and while there were snakes in the nest(Winter Soldier makes me have a new view of those folks who ordered the strike), it was taken out of Fury's control(but not out of Stark's😀).
Now Netflix just needs to grab Dredd and carry on with the foundation laid out in the movie, cause that was awsome

I liked the Thomas Jane Punisher more than the War Zone Punisher.
Each season should focus on different types of crime and mafia like the Garth Ennis comics.
Obviously shot after the last episode of Edumacation with the strawberry Perrier. I really enjoy these types of review and breakdown videos. It doesn't have to be the very first viewing reaction which some people complain about. I'm more interested in their thoughts than some fake reaction anyway.
Yoga Hosers was a good movie.
Nope. I read about it ahead of time and watched it knowing I wasn't the target audience. I also knew going in that Kevin ran out of money and had to go cheap on the special effects. So I watched it expecting a "B" movie and it is a good "B" movie. I laughed a few times and rolled my eyes a few times. I then watched it a second time paying attention to backgrounds and shots used, where the cuts were, etc, and appreciated the technical side of it as well. Were these bad jokes? Yes, Was the story weird? Yes. Did they milk the singing of "Babe"? Yes. But I understand the whys. I enjoyed it for what it is. A low budget movie with a silly premise. So no, you don't have to be "retarded" to like it.
So now I'll tell you what I would have changed. I would have dropped the Nazi story line and focused on the teen Satanist story line. Have the girls get captured by them, have to escape, and have their yoga instructor try to rescue them forcing them to rescue him. But then it wouldn't be a Kevin Smith movie. So in the end I'd leave it as it is and I can't wait to see "Moose-Jaws". I hope the Coleen's become junior Mounties and save the day with Silent Bob dying in Jay's arms after he stares down the moose and says, "Fuck You bitch" or something like that.
Now I have a question for you. Why do you use the word "retarded" in the 21st century? Leave that small closed minded neanderthal language in the 20th where it belongs man. Give me the reasons you didn't like the movie which I hope amounts to more than "I'm a narcissist who believes my opinion is the only one that matters." Give me reasons to consider so we can discuss the movie and come together and understand each others position and take one more stop to uniting the world in peace. Come on baby, give me some pillow talk.

Not trying to tell him how to speak. However all he's doing is trying to insult me as if that invalidates my comments. I was hoping he and I could discuss the movies good and bad points. I love movies and I watch them the first time for enjoyment then watch them again to break down how it was put together.
So my disclaimer: I'm not part of the "Cult of Kevin Smith". I don't like all his movies. That said I can see that he is a much better Director/Editor/Screen Writer now than he was in the 1990's. I think the directing and most of the acting in Yoga Hosers was good. The editing was top notch. The camera work was "safe". The only real issues, to me, were playing the entire "Babe" song as it drew the scene out too far. I feel if Kevin would have focused either on the "Teenage Satanist" plot or the "Canadian Nazi" plot instead of both it would have been a better movie. The 2 plots didn't work together. He should have focused on one or the other. Personally I think the Nazi dude should have been the head fo the cult the teen boys were in and there could have been alot of gags with them setting up the sacrifice of the the girls and being overly polite while doing it and in the end their politeness is what allows the girls to turn the table. I admit he lost me when the flesh golem was revealed but up to then was okay. That said the technical side of the movie, except for the special effects was rock solid.

Watch Dirty laundry with Thomas Jane. That is the Punisher. This series has that type of feel and look.

I think they'll get 2 to 4 good seasons out of it, but I really hope his last season is a Punisher Destroys the MNU story arc and they make it so Punisher wins "against the defenders most likely" and ends with him killing himself but then some "time traveler or kang is introduced" and accidentally resets the MNU with better developed and written story lines of some of the heroes, but letting the weaker ones die off.
