These are fire. Most not all so called sneakerheads have fire sneakers and no swag when it comes to actually putting together an outfit. IMHO these are the best 1s period to drop in years. They absolutely nailed this concept imho.. I’m sure in due time anyone who passed on these will realize they made a huge mistake. I personally have over 30 1s in my collection. I was fortunate to add this one to the collection. I’ll take this over any that released over the last few years easily. If they would’ve made the wing logo the same color as the sole this would be top 5. I don’t knock anyones opinion, but they raised the bar with this release. This is art.

I love this drop! I think that the "banned" inspiration is still there but playing it in the opposite way: tha add had a black stripe to cover the shoes, instead this red stripe is there to enhance and make standout the swoosh! Plus the fact that the materials are very nice, smooth, thick rigid leather like the one you'd find on luxury shoes!
If I have to be picky I would have loved to see a set of extra laces, black waxed ones or even in leather with gold tips!! Hopefully they'll make others with the blue stripe and then a grey!!!

Wdym? Soft leather is just luxury in reality a hard type of leather is what most shoe companies go for. They have a more sleek and formal look to them and often then not are more luxury shoes. Fake leather is usually thin and super soft for its thinness. Not bashing the soft leather jordan 1s but they all have different concepts.
I am pretty sure high quality leather does not have any gloss to it. So what makes the shoes so glossy?
I'd get those even with or wihtout the red, I'd get it just for the look of the black leather and luxury look.
Actually you are wrong. Jordan was banned=fined 5,000 dollars each time he wore the red and black AJ 1s. It's also a tab that NIKE itself paid instead of making Jordan pay. I'm a huge MJ fan. In 2011 Jordan's released the AJ1 "Banned". Yall really gotta know yall stories behind the shoes!!
Heard the creasing on these abysmal. Not that 1's I love them creased look but that damaged these weren't constructed properly look.

dguy8804395 wrong. Boots are a great example. Real durable leather does not start soft to the touch. These may or may not break in nicely and may or may not be nice leather- but the fact remains spend 1k on some boots and get back to me how the leather feels day 1.
SHINIGAMI XIII no you’re wrong, in 2013 Jordan brand was giving us the worse leather possible. I have the 2013 royals and Breds also the 2016 breds and it’s not even close. Even the 2014 1s had good leather on them.
SHINIGAMI XIII rereading your original comment I see what you mean. And I do agree with you on the durable part. My 2013 royal are slowly but surely breaking in and they do look good. I have 2016 toes as well and I prefer that leather over the 2016 breds. I think 2015-2016 was my favorite leather imo. 2015 Chicagos are perfect.

If they were smart they would have made the perforated top part in a high Quality SUEDE, that way it would eliminate the creasing problem these are destined to have the minute you walk in them. I love the look of these from afar, but I hate that cheap looking quality leather up close. Very disappointed. I really wanted these the first time I saw them, but if they are going to immediately crease as soon as I wear them, than this is a Drop... Again, I love the look, but not worth it if you can only wear it once before they get badly creased.

People keep saying the leather is trash when it’s not. If anything the leather is better quality than tumbled leather. It’s more of a dress shoe quality which is why it’s going for a luxury look. It's not too good, creases are more noticeable compared to the traditional tumbled leather.
@@sneakernews2175 I have been wearing mine for the last 5 days everyday, even at the gym and happily noticed that the more I wear them the more the toe box is getting softer. The creases are looking good and very natural, nothing near the ones in the photos floating on internet!
