I got the first model of this backpack in 2012, I used it extensively until yesterday (2024), and the only reason I got a new one is because the signatures on it from pro StarCraft players that I got to sign my backpack in 2012, started to fade. So it now hangs on my wall as a memory. By that way, the mini bag between the headphones is for the Astro mixamp that goes with the headphones. This bag lasts for ever.
I know this is an older video but I love this backpack and have been staring at it for months LOL. I just discovered your channel today (and am annoying you with comments LOL), your review was super helpful. I'm leaning more towards "I need this nowwww" after watching your review. The only thing stopping me is, like you said, the cost is pretty steep. Here in Canada it runs for $249 CAD. Eep!
Yikes! It’s a fun bag - especially if you can find the space grey, which is harder to source these days. If you’re a gamer, also check out the Logitech x Peak Design G Everyday Backpack 20L - you can get that at B&H Photo and other places.
i just got this bag on special for half off on the Timbuk2 site, so thank you for being the reason I finally decided to just purchase it. I do agree if it was $200 it would be too expensive for what it is, but it's what I'm personally looking for.
This bag is my workhorse and has traveled a large portion of the world with me over the past year. The organization is unrivaled for someone that does heavy travel with two laptops and other electronics. It frustrates me that this is a "gaming" product if I'm being honest... it gives it a stigma right off the bat and most reviewers have ignored it. At least the styling is mostly subtle in black. Agree on the straps by the way, they're good but slightly off, plus the chest strap plain sucks. I don't think this purchase decision is a tough one at all if it fits your needs, since there's not much else that fills this particular niche.
I don't have this one anymore to test - but I remember the laptop compartment being more than adequate - it was well built for gaming gear - I'm sure the sleeve is suspended. But I don't have to check for you.

Love that testimonial!
I would love to see a 10-second clip of you walking wearing the backpack for every review
I’ve thought it for sure

I got mine on sale for $70 on sale couple of weeks ago at the timbuk2 shop on fell or hayes ( not sure which atm ) street in SF
Wow! A steal!
Great review. I also liked the outer pocket layout the most.
It’s unique!
Just bought this bag. Shame there's no light grey edition I can find.
Yeah i haven’t seen the light gray in awhile.
Great Video, Im a gamer who loves astro producs the Price is 100% set like that for the Astro Gaming Name
I see! I figured as much. Thx for watching the video!
It's half off now on the official site
Is the laptop compartment and laptop sleeve in the main compartment suspended? If i set the bag down, will the laptops make contact with the ground?

It's $99 only right now too at Timbuk2
So you still like this bag for creater with 2 laptops if not which one would you suggest.
Yes - this is great for two laptops. I also like the Greenroom136 rainmaker and the Tom Bihn Brain Bag for two laptops
This one is slimmer than those other two
@@ThePerfectBag Thank you so much going to order the black Astro now
Hey i not this is a very old video but woukd this fit a ps5 inside it?
I haven't owned a PlayStation since the PlayStation 3. I'm not sure if a PS five would fit in this.
