    Love it! Im considering the Plex Solo Lite for thru hiking in buggy areas. Watched your video on it (Plex Solo standard version) to evaluate stormworthiness - wind in particular, can see you always utilized natural barriers during setup. Any additional info would be helpful to me. Thoughts? Thanks Roadrunner.

    Great vid , was wondering if you brought any type of bug protection or leggings for rain or warmth?

      @tonymallia5142 no bug protection.
      I did have zpacks rain pants that I wore 5 or 6 times for rain ,snow and warmth. I somehow edited them out of the video. I wrote in the description.

    I plan on brining a 10k amp battery .. but I listen to music and audio books ALL DAY when I hike with wired headphones
    I haven't had to deal with a multi-week hike yet, so I am wondering if you used your phone (airplane mode .. no bluetooth .. dark mode light) as much
    what was the drain on the battery pack, or perhaps the question is what was the conservative extent for the 10k battery with alot of listening to stuff all day (?)

      I only take pictures and video with my phone. It's always on airplane mode and i have power save on.. My phone typically last 3 whole days.
      I only had to use my charging brick a handful of times to keep my phone charge the day I was getting to town.

    Q1: At the start of your SOBO PCT did you feel more like you were racing wildfires or snow fall?

      @@Saguache definitely fires. Had to do 2 rerouted and 3 loooong road walks. I started on August 1st because I didn't want to deal with snow.

    SOCKS .. I just hate bringing extra socks and .. the whole idea of rinsing them out , and hanging them dangling on my backpack to wear the other pair , then switch every day.
    Is it a bad idea to just wear the one pair, and plan on swapping them out after about 200 miles with a new pair (?)

      I wear the same pair till I get to town then put the clean ones on and hand wash the ones i wore on trail. I dry them on the hotel heater.

    So no pants? not even rain or wind pants, i quess it's a question of nice-to-have vs need-to-have, it is nice on cold mornings to wear a pair of wind pants, but i never wore long pants during the day. i'm doing the CDT (sobo) next year, would you recomend the same gear or add something specific for that trail?

      @@JakobAbildholt i somehow edited out my rain pants. I wrote in the description . Zpacks vertice, Life saver in the rain and snow. Wore them 5 times for rain/snow and once on a cold morning.
      I carried the same gear on the CDT! Worth carrying for the the few times they are needed.
