you aint searchin hard enough if you think he's mad underrated. he's done a lot of dope ass projects and is pretty famous. below the heavens... cmon now.
Seeing people blessed with such a talent makes me smile all the time! And it is a great motivation to work even harder on your own ish. He did a great job on the latest Fashawn Album, too! Salute!
i don’t have the source, but if you should need it, it would find you - hendrix must have predicted, that in the future, one man shall play a whole orchestra on a machine. he was right.
That "Car Stereo" idea is such a dope plan for a concept album, like I wish I could meet him and implore him to do it because it would be so fucking cool! Plus the idea of filming it too! Man, its gold.
Shout out to the homie ***** for sharing this video demonstration. :D Further proof that sampling is in fact an artform. Exile shows you how producers use various sounds and add it to their palette, using each sound to create a beautiful soundscape.
I think this is my favorite beat-making video on RUclips. I love to see people pushing the limits of an instrument, and I love the way the MPC (and MPC-type machines) is, in popular perception, entering the pantheon of "real instruments".
is this totally live ?? how does he switch from one groove to another ? and how does he stops and starts the groove while layering ? is it some of the mpc features ?
Overdub recording. No metronome so after every 4 or 8 bars the loop starts over but keeps his last recorded sequence and then he just moves on. There’s also some world class editing
@templeofhead whats does this do? someone told me i gotta buy drum kits. its confusing. i see videos of music producers saying they make beats with just n mpc. where do they get the sound or sample from?
if i got an mpc what else do i need, they expensive i dont wana buy something i cant use or i gotta pay another fortune for more stuff.. i see the old music producers started with some peice of shit and made gold with it. i wana do this
@funkyfriedninjamonk how do you feel about araabs beat on the new nike derrick rose commercial? i think its better than 99% of anything thats on the radio today
I just installed the fatpads... they just feel tight with no give, but not more sensitive. They have also made one of my pads non workable like, i have to pretty much punch it ti get it to triggure. I have reinstalled em three times and the same outcome. I'm going back to the standard pads.
Holy shit I’ve been watching this video for years on another channel and it only has like 2k views on there and I’ve been pissed about that lol glad I just realized all the views were here!
@alltrue Nah Bro, I got to Disagree. Araab and Exile are BOTH Geniuses in there own right. Whats amazing about Araab Musik is that he doesnt have to sequence all his sounds on to different tracks. He can PLAY ALL INSTRUMENTS in ONE sequence (FAST), then Exile can Create ANY Genre out of Any Sample and do it seamlessly. THEY ARE BOTH VICIOUS!
@misterneckbreaker88 @templeofheadand no you don't need a PC or MAC to make it work, the MPC is a standalone workstation and has a build in sequencer and mixer which is very basic so you could if you wanted to make all your song on the mpc, the MAC or PC comes in handy to make eloborate pieces of editing, the guy in the vid is basicly just running and mpc on an amp and speakers, his input sound comes from the radio...MPC rules, been using it for over a decade now, it never fails...
Wild I’ve been using an mpc for a while and never once thought to use the pads for sampling like this. Maybe turning the max velocity lock off isn’t the worst thing in the world.
I feel like this dudes mad underrated, he's up there with ALC, Black Milk, Marco Polo, etc
you aint searchin hard enough if you think he's mad underrated. he's done a lot of dope ass projects and is pretty famous. below the heavens... cmon now.
@@mikeemorales04 he is underrated, below the heavens isnt famous fam.
@@MatheDeath neither is anything listed in the original comment
He better than all them dudes
@@int3533 he's not better than Alchemist, you just can't deny that mans catalog, but Exile is a legend no doubt
This is one of the best beats I've seen being made on the 2kxl
This guy knows how to layer samples
Seeing people blessed with such a talent makes me smile all the time! And it is a great motivation to work even harder on your own ish.

Salute!
The Hendrix of the MPC right there, pretty bad ass sir.

Exile has been in my list of favorite new producers since I heard that Fashawn album. He also did some amazing stuff with Blu.
Wow... he like created a whole.. bossa-like music... a very good video.. he is an artist..
Awesome way of doing things analog / digital but yet organic !!!!!!!!!!!!
im actually happy theres only 1,000 views...im proud to say of one of the few to recognize tru talent
Truly gifted. Exile got the magic touch

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 can't stop coming back to this video after many years!
damn he makes this shit look so easy to do, a true master of his craft...
Cool bloke with cool tunes I like it. He makes it look easy and maybe it is but a good groove is a good groove.
Master at work. This cat is unreal.
Much respect for that! I thought I was alone on that one. Would plug into the satellite radio joint and sample while on road trips.
Such a majestic way to monster the MPC2GRANDXL

EXILE IS THE BEST!!

Exile kills it man
Exile is dope!!!
you can also use slicex in fl to sample it then go with the finish sound into the fpc .. sorry 4 my bad english
This is some cool trip hop bossa nova shit going on.
@misterneckbreaker88 MPD is just a controller. You have to use PC/Mac + Software to make it work.
@templeofhead whats does this do? someone told me i gotta buy drum kits. its confusing. i see videos of music producers saying they make beats with just n mpc. where do they get the sound or sample from?
exile tearin shit up ya know

To dope
He made the beat for Capital Steez - Emotionless Thoughts. Amazing.
He didn't make it for capital steez, he took the instrumental from the song Love lines, exile produced it tho just not for him
Yeah I didn't mean he made it for Steez, I mean he made the instrumental used for "Capital Steez - Emotionless Thoughts" :)
Really dope beat! Big ups for tagging! :)
Exile looks like Louis CK's cool younger brother
@ocik15 Yes, it's called "In Love" if I'm NOT mistaken.

Just wow
Nice. Has a Latin jazz swing to it
the track is doooope
@funkyfriedninjamonk i agree. why do people compare exile and araab? 2 completely different styles composition-wise and hip-hop wise
@jamzban1 funny thing is if youy play a wind inst, its basically the same thing, if you play keyes again same thing.
WoW...
Dope track!
beat is awesome! so chilling!
STR8 UP!!!
@funkyfriedninjamonk how do you feel about araabs beat on the new nike derrick rose commercial? i think its better than 99% of anything thats on the radio today
Underrated
This legit had me bumpin my head and waiving my fingers in hands lol
Sounds like a Theo Parrish production, slow-groovin' 4x4 drum shit, nice. trying to convince myself to get a MPC
I just installed the fatpads... they just feel tight with no give, but not more sensitive.

this dude is amazing …..
fucking brilliant.
very sick house!
Holy shit I’ve been watching this video for years on another channel and it only has like 2k views on there and I’ve been pissed about that lol glad I just realized all the views were here!

no doubt about that.
and dope beat of crourse
It sounds like it's a sample from "Be" by common. If it's not the same, it's very similar. You could try to sample it.
