WOW! What was it used for back in the day. Was not broadcast for sure. Space applications, some radar stuff maybe for avionics? Must have been freakin expensive.
I recently overhauled an AN/URM-191 which had apparently been factory(!!!) converted to 220V by adding large series resistors(!!!) with the primary winding (obviously, I took these out and installed a small stepdown transformer in the chassis).
Very nice, I like the tuned cavity design, probably helps a lot with accuracy of the output.
