  • Starting today, we’re launching a new regular feature to give our beloved users even more support. Every month, we’ll be featuring a video quiz created by an iSLCollective user, and walking you through what makes it really cool and how we would use it in class.
The one we are focusing on this month is a quiz on reflexive pronouns, based on a hidden camera video about a prank where a school girl is asking passers-by to help her lift buckets full of coins - except her buckets somehow seem easier to lift… She is either super strong or the buckets might be doctored! You can find the video quiz here: en.islcollecti...
In the tutorial video, we look at three different question types featured in the video quiz (gapfill, multiple choice, putting the words in order), talk through the four different play modes, and demonstrate casino mode.
We also cover technicalities such as how to make the quiz question visible if there is a „more videos” banner, so you come across as the pro video quiz teacher that you are when you use it with your students!
We even suggest student profiles and classes with whom you could use this video in your next lesson - in fact, we would be hard put to think of a lesson that it wouldn’t nicely fit into!
Hope you find the new series useful. See you next week, when we will be sharing one of our favourite teaching tips for video-based lessons with your students.

Cool to see this and coincidental -- I've just finished a lesson plan this morning based around one these Just for Laughs videos for my unit on sightseeing. If it goes well, I'll upload it to the site :)I'll try this video out with the school English club on Wednesday. Thanks heaps!
