“Protest” you mean domestic terrorism?
@@bakermakingbread
Yet not one building looted or burned to the ground. You probably think throwing tea into the harbor was a terrorist act as well.
@@axo9 what about the people who stormed the building, took selfies with the police, stole data from senators, and shot people? These are the people you’re defending? None of them were wearing masks. This isn’t a patriotic act and comparing it to such a great thing like the Boston Tea Party is a joke. People back then actually had something to worry about, these guys are all white dudes which immediately meant they’re not going to get shot. Stop fooling yourself.

@@axo9 what, do you not believe in the virus
There's only two ways to interpret this commercial and neither of them are a good look for Pepsi:
1) Pepsi doesn't care about legitimate social issues and in the midst of all the chaos and division they just want you to think about Pepsi
2) Pepsi genuinely cares about legitimate social issues but they actually think the solution to these problems is Pepsi
Edit, thought of the third one:
3) Pepsi doesn't actually care about legitimate social issues but they do believe the solution to these problems is Pepsi, so its your loss if you don't buy it
In reality some marketing director with no bad intentions probably just thought it would be a relevant way to market the product at the time, but in the excitement of wanting to get their cool idea out there, they didn't stop to realize how tone deaf it was.
So they are either evil or stupid
@@lolforlife2487 its always one or the other with the 1%
Hit the nail on the head
Okay this was an actual thing I thought SNL made this all up .
I’m dead 😂😂😂😂
SAME AHAHAHA
SAME OMG the spoof was soo ridiculous and tone deaf that i was sure it had to be a huge exaggeration.... well i mean we all watched the original by now so obviously that i was proved wrong
@@taylorkitz Right? SNL really didn't have to do a thing. They just duplicated what actually happened and the jokes wrote themselves.
Sameeee tho like I didn’t realize it was REAL
Lol me too
I feel like Coca Cola and Pepsi are having a battle over whose marketing team is the most out of touch with reality.
😂
@NWE Then my friend, you were either born before 80's or you live under a rock.
@Random Username idk about an ad but fairly recently they got some less than positive attention after telling employees in their online training to “try to be less white”
Honestly polar bears drinking Coca-Cola up North with Santa Claus is somehow more realistic than this bullshit Pepsi commercial. 😂
I think Pepsi won that battle.
The terrible midi track that was probably made in like 2 hours just really puts the icing on top
That’s not the original audio
@@daunrealist3 that's what he means, it's a midi track cover that sounds bad, they didn't even bother swapping out the GM sounds it seems, so basic.

Wow. Grow up kid.
when will people ever stop saying that???
@cloudyyo yes. also, tired of hearing that cliched saying! worse then "at the end of the day"
I watched the SNL sketch about this a few years after the commercial aired. While rewatching it now, I kept having to remind myself this was NOT the SNL rendition, but was in fact, the real commercial. 😂 I wish I was joking.
Wow I can’t believe she would rip off the boys like that. No wonder people are furious
The best part of the commercial is when Jenner says "It's Pepsi time", referencing one of the movies ever made before it even existed. My god, did I jump from my seat!
Really one of the commercials ever made.
I actually pepped after watching this commercial
It's A-Train Time
It's Pepsi Time! 🤣🤣🤣😭😭
It’s morbin time
