Hi nathan im starting to have second thoughts about the yamasaki ym50 as a first bike ive heard too many bad stories about it so I’ve started to move closer to the fosti f50 do you have an opinion on this bike or ?
Probably a bit late for your case, but for anyone else, in my opinion, i would advise anyone looking to start on a 50. to stay clear of chinese bikes, and look for something with the AM6 50cc 2 stoke engine. A lot of bikes use this engine. In my case i bought a 2020 rejiu mrt 50. when i was 16 and used it for just under 2 years. I completely derestricted the bike with stock engine and would get over 50mph. In my ownership i did over 8000 miles with absolutely no problems. My brother on the hand, went through 1 new engine, 2 pistons and a head gasket on his yamasaki. and even with a 70cc piston was slower than my bike with him being half my weight.
@@NathRidesok ill do that, yeah i feel like the quotes must be inaccurate lol, sometimes they are more than the bike. I love your videos btw, really fun and relaxing to watch keep it up.
How is the throttle of the A2 restricted version? Is it less jerky and snatch at low speeds than the unrestricted version?
Unrestricted just means you can twist it more and accelerate faster, not much difference other than that
@@NathRides how manageable and easy is to ride at low traffic speeds? Does it kick if you hold to throttle constant at low rpms in the city?

Hi mate, I've personally never rode a Fosti F50 but I have heard about Yamasakis declining quality

Is it a good idea to get a Cat N bike?
No, insurance will be higher
Not true tbh, I've had loads of Cat N bikes and insurance is always cheap
My Cat N MT-07 is £200 a year
Was it easy to get restricted insurance for the mt07?
Yeah, I pay £214 a year
Is it better to phone them instead of an online quote, im getting quoted £4500 for comp on an A2. On a 2014 mt07
Wow that's expensive, may be worth phoning up and do comparison quotes

Sorry Nathan but the CLEAR A2 bike that beats the mt07 is the CBR650R, just because i said so.
