I have no intention of breeding frogs but I was completely captivated by the video 😂
I like the new format, talking over clips of frogs! Great video!
thanks man!
Your production is flawless! A lot of folks dont have any idea what it takes to make a tutorial like this.
thanks man!! Its definitely a lot of work LOL
Always enjoying your vids dude. Informative, fun to watch and ofcorse great tanks and frogs!!
Cool video Troy, like the new channel name. 👍
beautiful animals and awesome enclosures!
Thanks Troy, always great content!!
Very interesting troy 👍
Quite the number of comments over on the Viv Facebook page! Probably got a couple people to get out of a rut and put something together for themselves.
If you’re looking for future content, can you out together a daily or weekly maintenance video perhaps throw in an aspect of what you learned from 3-4 enclosures to where you are now.
What's up Troy? After watching this I looked in my Azurues tank. I have 3, still not positive they aren't all female. But I found eggs on a leaf under a hide. They are more of a brown than a nice little black spot. But I put them in a cup and we shall see! I put an actual petri dish down there now.
Did it work
thank you for this. im going to start growing them.
Best of luck!
🤙🏼🤙🏼thank you
Hey Troy thanks for the video, just wondering what kind of plants those are in the tadpole tank?
I think poison arrow frogs are prestigious. Id love to further my knowledge. Tell me more about the aquarium, how did you get that moss and plants so well grown?
Great video. Thank you. What moss is on the coconut hut?
This is amazing! If you could do one for ranitomeyas, specifically variabilis, then that would be awesome!
The into tank had a small pool of water that looked AWESOME! Is it filtered? Do you have any videos how you built it?
What turkey baster do you use to remove and separate the eggs? Do you ever damage them from this?
Hey whats the link to the lights you use ? Also great videos love watching!!
They’re on amazon, led shoplights 6000-6500k
Where do you keep them? Do you put them back in the tank in the petri dish, or just leave them on the counter top.
Love your vids could you do a video about how to breed auratus please thanks I’m going to by four of them the next month and I would love them to breed, I already have a male tinctorius nominat and looking for a feamale. Thanks and keep up with the great work.💪💪😀😀
This video could also be applied for auratus...
Thanks
Great video! You got some nice footage of them courting, not the easiest thing to do. I do a few things differently but interesting to see how you do it. I never move my eggs once I pull them, aren't you worried you'll rotate them wrong and kill them?
Thanks buddy!! I’ve been moving them for years and not having any issues with killing them.... the Eastern Europeans channel we follow also does it I believe. I don’t always do it, only sometimes when the petri is extremely dirty
@@TroyGoldberg Makes sense I know when I first started I used to mess with the eggs a lot and I think making them too clean causes problems, for me anyway. I just know if they get flipped over it can kill them but as long as the dark portion of the egg is up they will survive.
@@TroyGoldbergCan you tell me what moss you use?
What kind off mos is that ? Seems to trive realy good
Sorry for the bad English
Do you have any heat source in your LED tanks? Is a night time temperature lowering necessary?
Where do you get the moss for these tanks?
What type of moss is that?
Great video with just the information I was looking for. Thanks. One small comment, species names should never be capitalized.
I do understand that species names aren’t capitalized, though I do not really understand why that is, but also this isn’t a formal science document...
@@TroyGoldberg It's done primarily for historical reasons and to distinguish it from genus. Species names really should be italicized but not many do that except in scientific publications. This is just me nit picking, I really enjoy your videos!
@@ps7365 stfu
What is growing all over the bottom?is that moss?
Where do you get all that moss?
Do these tips work with other poison dart frogs or do they need anything specific?
Cool video Troy. Is that java moss on the hut and did you glue it on? Thanks.
No it’s low growing tropical moss, and it’s just grown like that over the years
@@TroyGoldberg thanks for taking the time to write back. i'm in the uk so may not be able to get that. saying that do you know the latin name, i might be able to order it. Stay safe m8
Hey Troy. Love your vids. They're so inspiring. I'm building a paludarium at this moment... could you tell me how you got your tank so 'mossed'?
IDK why I watch, my useless country doesnt really allow amphibians. I would have to apply to get them. I just like your channel for the vivariums. But the dart frogs are still good info.
Which country?
@@VinylUnboxings south africa
What would be the most novice friendly frogs to get started with? I have the Exo Terra 18 X 18 X 24
tincs, leucomelas, auratus
Do you sale dart frogs and if you do how much are they and where can I purchase them? Thanks for your time 😁
Does anyone know what those big leafy plants are? I'd love some, thanks!!
I have a bunch which ones specifically … I could likely tell you the names
Why can they not just be left? Instead of moving them ?. You gained my sub just for this vid was cool.
#froggoals
Hello! What water are you using for your sprayer? For misting
Spring
Cool video! I was wondering if you have frogs for sale?
I do
@@TroyGoldberg do you happen to have any adult female bakhuis for sale?
Do you use tap water for misting ?
No RO water for misting
Does this only work on dendrobates
This breeding guide is for Dendrobates yes
Can you breed from the same bloodline like brother sister? Or should I separate them when there older?
The short answer is yes
Thank you
What do I do if my female is ready to go and stalking the male, but he isn't calling and generally ignores her? He's 2 years old.
U sure it’s a male 😂
Is keeping Pummillio frog, quite difficult for beginner?
Not if the proper research is done. They’re not recommended for beginners but certainly can be done
@@TroyGoldberg because I very like their behaviour and their ritual while raising their childs, preparing some garden for them, here.
Did you accidentaly throw away one egg or was it intentional😂
Do you sell frogs
Dumb question. But that miniature palm tree in the center. That's not real is it?
It is real, and it’s actually called biophytum sensitivum
@@TroyGoldberg oh wow thank you so much! Did a bit of research on it and I love it even more. What a magical little plant. Went ahead and ordered me some seeds. Thanks again!
Is cross breeding possible
Very possible, and highly frowned upon In the hobby
Would you die if you ate a poison dart frog?
In the wild, depending on the species yes
I'm interested in buying some dart frogs. Do you sell? Thanks.
I do sell some
@@TroyGoldberg What do you have available now or near future?
@@TroyGoldberg I'm looking for some Red Heads.
I list stuff on my Instagram when it’s available
Man I only say it the end of every video lol… oofroga_histroyonica
Do powder blues and azureuses breed?
They definitely can but cross breeding isn’t something most hobbyists do
Troy Goldberg's Tropical Garage Ok, thanks for the help
Troy Goldberg's Tropical Garage Wait but aren’t they both Dendrobates Tinctorius?
Yes but there from different areas in their natural habitats they would never cross each others paths...
Troy Goldberg's Tropical Garage Ohhhh, ok that makes sense, thanks again
