Manu Bennett's portrayal of Slade Wilson/Deathstroke in my opinion is just as good if not better than any other Super Villain TV or Movie portrayal in Comic Books there have ever been. That includes Heath Ledger as Joker and Tom Hiddleston as Loki and everyone else in between. Manu just completely lost himself in the Character and truly made Slade such a memorable and emotionally deep character Arrow still cannot top it. Even though it didnt show in the Ratings on a couple episodes. Just an awesome Villain on a awesome TV Show
This version of deathstroke is a tragic hero. He was a good man, ge loved his country and family, despite his job as an ASIS unit agent and how it helped cause his divorce, he still kept in touch with his son. He loved him more thsn anything. And he loved Shado but he kept these feelings hidden because he loved Oliver as a brother too. His mind was warped by the mirakuru, that is what turned him insane snd led to villainous actions. However, this was deathstroke, the alter ego took control due to mirakuru, and slade became a prisoner in his own mind, this is evidenced after he was cured and the mirakuru left his system, he was humble, soft spoken, even reluctant to use deathstroke armor and even showed immense guilt and self hate for how he treated Oliver and killing his mother. Despite his love for Shado, he would never have turned on Oliver, he would have been pissed, hurt, betrayed, but would not turn against a msn he loved as family. The experience of mirakuru was traumatic, and yet he still took up the mantle to fight for Oliver. And when it was over, he left to find and help his first born son, and then his second son who he was unaware of. Slade may be a killer, he may be cold, detached and desensitized. But he wasn't evil, he was never a villain. If I can borrow a quote from the Joker. "All it takes is one bad day". He was burnt and dying, and the mirakuru simultaneously saved and imprisoned him. He's done enough to earn peace. This version of deathatroke, Slade, earned some balance of peace

Slade Wilson is by far one of my favorite villains and characters together with the Arrow and the Flash. He was a good man who was just trying to do the right thing so he could return home, but then Mirakuru took control over him and he became something else, someone else. But then he came back to his senses and stood by Oliver's side once more. Proof that he's one of the best is a fact that he is the only villain who didn't die in the franchise.

This was an Incredible Masterpiece for My Second Favorite Version of Deathstroke and My Second Villain on Arrow. Manu Bennet did a Phenomenal Performance Bringing Slade Wilson/Deathstroke Properly to Live Action and I’m hoping he gets a Second Chance at Playing Slade Wilson/Deathstroke again.
In my opinion this is the best version ever. He’s human, he’s not just a mask and a bad guy. You care about why he’s evil. Not to mention his design, his armor is KILLER (maybe not as good as Arkham origins or dceu) one of the best performances on tv.

I would say the same but the major point that makes him really stand out is his flashback storyline with Oliver and Shado. That 2 seasons story made him a fantastic villain. Very hard to capture the magic twice. They need another storyline that made him sympathetic in his villainy. The Titans storyline didn't make me care much for Deathstoke at all.

I’m glad they eventually become friends/brothers again... Oliver always knew deep down the real slade was in there... that’s why he didn’t kill him!!! They made it seem like he did but he knew deep down that he wasn’t dead... that’s why when he came back he wasn’t all that shocked... but in the end Oliver brought his old friend back and got a 2nd chance with him!! It was that prick dr ivo that got his shit all messed up cause he knew he had the mirakuru in him and wasn’t thinking right! Death stroke!!!
