Are we just not going to mention the fact that Kris connected the dots?
I totally forgot to mention it, but I did love that Kris was so good at connecting the dots and just picked up on a small detail and found out the truth.
Best character was kris hands down,the guy solved the case in less than half an hour,without him nate would’ve been sent to prison.
He was so awesome and deserves all the praise.
i love kris and cooper so much! i just wish that there was more in the book about cooper and his dad

I really liked this book because all 4 characters were typical teen stereotypes but there was so much depth to each characters’ personalities! Character development was done insanely well🙌🏽 I was rooting for Bronwyn and Nate soooo much! I wish they stayed together and he came back for her at the end to listen to her piano concert!
The ending was quite mundane and not as exciting as expected but overall I loved this book A LOT.
It was a really intriguing book and I just had to keep reading and I found the ending a little flat.
But I absolutely loved the relationship between Bronwyn and Nate.
Before reading this in the back of my mind I always thought “he probably killed himself” I predicted it
It does give off that vibe.
My sis was reading it and at the start I told her what if it was the suicide then she said a day later i was right.

At first, I thought it'd be Cooper, but then about Chapter 7, I started thinking, "What if he killed himself?" LOL.
Yeah it was pretty obvious after a while how it was going to happen but I still love the suspense of it all.
So halfway through the book I put two and two together that Simon wanted attention but I thought he wanted to attempt to kill himself but accidentally actually did it.
I really, really, REALLY wanted Nate and Bronwyn to get together at the end, and of course I was annoyed at what happened at the end, but I actually think that it was a good writing technique. In pretty much every book that has a romance, they split up but then get back together at the end for a happy ending, especially when they are opposites but a brought together. The fact that this didn’t happen was unique and made us want to read another book if there is a sequel, or watch a film version. I, although it REALLY made me angry because #Bate is my OTP, think it was a good technique used by the author.
I loved their relationship and it grew so well. They really depended on each other and it was so sad when they didn't stay together. they were kind of perfect.
I’m reading the second book: One Of Us Is Next, and they are together! Ummmmm, I hope you read this even though you wrote this 2 years ago. Lol.

God is love Dayany well, Nate was and still is in the book a antisocial person and kinda pushed Bronwyn to the side after leaving juvie.

@@scarlett-mk5yh my point is that Nate was the first and only one out of everyone who immediately knew and asked him about the pen when he wasn't even super close friends with Simon in the first place lol but then I kind of thought after awhile that it was just so unlikely of the four to kill anyone 😁

This was a really good book! I however unknowingly bought the Barnes and Noble edition which extends the story a little bit (mainly on the Brownyn and Nate side)
I see a lot of people say that there isn't really closure on Brownyn and Nate but I feel there was at the end of my book but I don't have a special edition. Thats pretty cool for them them do do though.
I've been looking for the B&N edition that extends the story :( I need to know how their movie date went.

Cooper was kind of shady but it's hard to lie about things when your in first person perspective.
I did, until he came out, that was his turning point
cooper is my fav character! i hope in the sequel he gets more of a spotlight and we get to figure out more about him and his dad!
I haven't bought the sequel yet but I really keen to see where it goes. It's awesome that we get more to the story.

I mean some parts were predictable but I never expected Jake to be part of this. I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed this cause I loved this a lot. I’m ready the book now and I’m so exited to see what I’m in for.

Gave full marks for building characters and style of story writing.
Spoilers ahead.....
But wait,
1. First this is title is misleading. On the cover page, you show 4 pictures and write 95% of the story around them but killer is none among them.
2. Only rich people's school but can't afford CCTV cameras or author is smart enough not to mention them.
3. Police dumb enough to ignore finger prints? Common where are the finger prints on dummy phones ? Addy forgets this fact the jake took her bag from her . Was he wearing gloves at the moment? Even if he did it, how easy is to put wiping finger prints and put in all 4 bags without rising any suspicion? Case would have gone to Jake or simon if they had prints on them.
4. Àvery is senior teacher but can't be dumb enough not to notice if phone is real or dummy.
5. Hacking ? Maeave can hack any thing without leaving a trace where even police can't do it.
6. When police are going no where with the investigation of the four suspects , why they didn't try to find about the yellow car or the accident?
One or two plot holes are common in murder mystery but here too much to handle.

At one point while reading I was completely sure it was neither of the four main characters but I couldn’t let go of the title because I fully assumed it must be one of them. I haven’t seen many comments on the title but I’m really glad someone else mentions it. Also, with the Edition that is shown in the video, on the back cover there are only the pictures of Nate, Cooper and Addy left. I can’t figure out why Bronwyn wasn’t included. Maybe I am missing something but does anyone have an explanation for that? :)

I had to read this book in school and have a very important test about it, but we weren’t allowed to take the book home, and I was sick for a while so this video honestly might have saved my life. I have to take that test in about 1 hour, and if I get a bad grade they won’t let me graduate. Wish me luck & thankyou loads for this review 💕

It really was a good book for guessing.
hands down the best character was brownwyn. as soon as i started the book she was the one i didn’t like but i created such a strange bond with her personality that reading her ‘pov’ in the book to me seemed like she was actually telling me in person what had happened. i totally didn’t expect her relationship with nate to end up like this and his sudden loose of interest made me loose all the things i liked about him. differently from others reviews that i’ve seen i expected the murder to be someone out of the 4, like someone of simon’s ‘friends’ (such as janea) but his suicide didn’t disappoint me at all.
concluding, it was a great book that i ended in two days that i would totally recommend. gonna start soon the next one ‘one of us is next’ and i’m already hyped

@@Abbeyleec Another possibility could be that Simon planted the fake phones in each of the kids' bag. I'm pretty sure Simon had something against each of them, along with content to post on his app, so he set them up to torture them after he was dead by framing them to look like they killed him so their secrets didn't get posted.

I never thought it was any of the main 4 because it's hard to lie when they all had POV's but it was really fun trying to figure it all out.

Hello,, what is the theme of this book? Or what can be a theme?
I feel a big part of the book is how hurtful social media can be and the way it can be used with such malicious intent. It shows the fall out of comments against teenagers who don't know how to deal with the repercussions of how they get treated differently but they also grow as people.

(SPOILERS) Well, Simon wasn't happy in his life with all the drama and gossip. He also had an obsession with looking at school shootings and the outcomes. Simon wanted to hurt some of the people around him and he though the best way to do it would be to kill himself and take them all down with him. He orchestrated his death to make the four in the room suspects and to have their lives ruined.

at first i did think it was the teacher but like slowly i was like “it’s simon” cause it was obvious tbh
yeah it became quiet obvious as we got closer to the mystery and there was really no one else it could be.
