I baked this cake today! And it was amazing. I added mascarpone cheese to whipped cream
I made this Frozen Cake. And would like to express my Utmost Gratitude: came out great! and is Delizioso!!! I would NOT label it as Baking-Free though, unless u use commercially baked waffles ;))) but Who would want to do such a silly thing, right?!!! Le Créma is unbelievable, the dessert looks unique. I was making it as a Thank You for someone who works for my husband, and the recipient loved it. It is light and tastes great w/ coffee. I redid the puffed pastry cake, and used fresh macerated strawberries, drained, layered with them, and thickened the juice with cornstarch, cooked it. Cooled and mixed it with the custard, and put sliced berries on top of the finished cake. Gorgeous and delicious.

На счёт нескольких минут, вы погарячились конечно, крем можно заменить на обычный сметанный и тогда уж точно займёт немного времени, а вообще торт вкусный, особенно когда в трубочках есть вишни) называется он "Монастырская изба". Спасибо за идею со слоеным тестом)

@@audra4101 try find dried lucuma. Lucuma is a fruit but it substitutes for egg, in think you can buy it dried. I’ve tried lucuma slices dried from the fruit and it works very well. And tastes nice, try even find seeds or seedlings if you’d like to try grow some, they taste great fresh too,
Otherwise lots of normal substitutes on the market.

Very different. I may have to try this just for the uniqueness factor. It looks very good. I think I will take the advice of another comment and put fresh sliced strawberries in between the layers as well. Maybe a chocolate drizzle over top with the almond slices? Yum

Just so you know ladies 6 hours in the fridge are not enough for the cake to become solid. You will have to let it seat in the fridge over night. Another thing that I decided to do differently is that next time I will wrap the cake in triple layer of wrap I won't use the parchment paper. It did not really work for my cake, it was falling apart.

Thanks rain drop. I’ve improved it still further (in my view!) by chopping stem ginger into tiny dices, really small, and stirring it into the cream before layering. This has the additional advantage of making it look interesting on the top (if you don’t like flaked almonds which I don’t use). And another tip by the way, I don’t whip the cream. I use crème fraîche which is pretty solid anyway, and more so if kept a few days unopened in the fridge.
Looks delicious but I am slightly doubtful I can just whip this up when “I have a few minutes”

When the first thing they mention is time, we understand it is time consuming.
Refrigerating a cake like this is a necessary step in PREPARATION, just like baking, because without it you wouldn't be able to serve it. That's why in most recipes it will be mentioned at the beginning, or it mention all the preparation times, e.g. 30 minutes preparation, 10 minutes baking, 6 hours refrigeration.
Just because the video is cut to 5 minutes, it doesn't mean the preparation takes "a few minutes".

Да, только лучше использовать вместо муки кукурузный крахмал, так текстура базового заварного крема будет более шелковистой, без мучного привкуса. По поводу сиропа - немного проварите его до более густой консистенции, если собираетесь делать его со сливками, так как такой крем может просто потечь. Если хотите сделать крем чиз или крем на основе масла, то он не очень пропитает слоеные трубочки. Личный опыт.
Объясните, пожалуйста, его в морозилку или холодильник убрать на 6 часов?

I made this but noticed you need to add corn startch to the egg mixture to thicken it up, so I used 2 teaspoons of corn starch. It was delicious. My 10 year old and 8 year old also made mini ones. I topped mine with crushed Pistachios instead of Almonds and it was Delicious.

Я тоже такой тортик делаю,только ускореный вариант. Крем быстрее,банка сгущёнки и сливочное масло взбиваю. И ещё дополнительно во время сборки тортика каждый слой крема присыпаю жареным арахисом. Очень вкусно тоже получается,рекомендую.Ваш более воздушный и наверняка с насыщенным сливочным вкусом.
