Despite the level of renown they reached, still one of the most under-rated bands of the 90s. Or maybe just at all. I saw them in Morgantown, WV, around 1992 or 1993. Grabbed a CD of Cruel Sun, which I still have. When Ice Age came out a few years on, I had taken my son to see it, and Send Me On My Way started up! I nearly jumped up out of my seat and started singing!
I can't be certain, but a jam band called Rasta Rafiki out of Morgantown WV that Root often played with in their early days was on the bill and I'm pretty sure it was one of their guys. I'll post something here if I find the tape and they identified him between songs.
That was a percussion blast. Love this edited version of this show. The more percussion the better. Everyone in top form. Wish i was there right now. Thank you Rusted Root for putting out great tribal music in a time of need. Dance on people, it's a celebration of live sound created for energy transformation.
29 years later and I STILL LOVE THIS! Thanks for sharing, brings back great memories!
