    Great review, helped me to pull the trigger, I will receive it in 3-4 days (second hand market). Right now I’m using the Moondrop kato, hope it will give me a wow effect, especially with jpop and female vocals.

      @@Arkinos Honestly, I may have picked a different iem for female vocals given vocals would be more or less a weak point, but J-pop in general should be fantastic on Mest 3. Compared to a Kato at least, you're in for a treat!

      @@mystic5078 I've tried the indigo very recently and would take Mest 3 over it personally.
      Indigo was noticeably brighter and leaner compared to Mest 3 with smaller staging.
      Tonal preference aside, the staging difference I'd attribute to Mest 3 having more recent BCDs that seem to actually make a difference.
      I couldn't notice the same level of holographic staging on Indigo and the BCD magic. Mest 3 BCD on the other hand was probably the first and one of the only times I have thought "wow BCD magic".

    Resolution didn't feel fake to me on the mk2. I would give it a 9.5/10 in resolution.

    I just remembered the first time I heard this (first expensive iem that I tried), technicalities and the timbre got me, so natural that it was like Im listening in live band, and when I tried it for the 2nd time that time I was addicted to find best vocals out there, (Diva is my number that I tried on). but this set give me a fovals that so natural its like the singer is on the back of the studio recording I imagine that I watching them singing or recording the song. I can't rank this along the vocals that I love because I think its specialty was the natural timbre in instruments and vocals its the summitfi specialty.

      I have no issues agreeing with what you have said! There is even better at higher price ranges but the concept of "value" or "worth" is really hard to say at that point, and I honestly think the Mest 3 is just the single best HIGH END VALUE IEM!

    • @jmanslm
      @jmanslm 3 месяца назад

      @@its_yifang yup, same its in your video a lot of people will choose mest mkII because of its more audiophile experience, can fit a lot of genre but when we talk about this mest mkIII (the owner) I guess that this set was his vocals monitor ( he said yes but its overall studio recording monitor) that the timbre the natural the drivers is the offer of this monster beast, not a lot will like or love this set but if you see its value, worth or mastery you will appreciate this precious gem.

    Have u heard the Thieaudio Prestige LTD? Is the Thieaudio Prestige in your ranking list the OG or the LTD?
    Can u describe the Volur?

    • @its_yifang
      @its_yifang  5 месяцев назад +1

      Have not heard Prestige LTD, only OG, which sounds quite lean and bright, I would pick any of the other flagship Thieaudio over them, but maybe LTD is different.
      Volur is warm with good bass and mids, treble side is a bit wonky with peaks here and there, but they don't actually bother me as much as lower treble peaks would. Overall I would say it's a pretty good IEM, but the price for it is a bit high for what it is, and I think other offerings are superior.

    Amazing review! if comparing the resolution and detail and soundstage of Mest 3 to the Multiverse Mentor does the Mest.3 Still Remain King in that departament or to the Kinera Loki or Odin? :)

    • @its_yifang
      @its_yifang  9 месяцев назад +1

      Haven't heard Loki yet but hopefully will soon because a friend has bought it. Mentor tuning is heavily warmth focused which actually affects the "perceived" resolution so it's actually quite close to mest, though mentor true resolution is definitely superior. Odin I'd say is very similar to both as well.

    I am having a lot ot trouble to decide between the mest ii and mest iii. I LOVE ELETRONIC MUSIC (deep, edm, trance, hight teck, dark.. anyway). The difference of price is 600 USD to get the III. It would be my end game for long time. I'm worryed to don't get enought bass with the II and the thin notes too (but the bass is what get's me worsing, because eq bass is harder). But people also say the III has a darker sound with less resolution. Would you consider picking the III and eleveting like 1.5 db (maybe 2 db) on the upper mids and high shelf (made corrected) to give that sensity of clarity? In one hand i loved everything on the III but many people clains that it lost soundstage and resolution in comparasion to II. I've never heard the mest series. I love eletronic (mostly) and sometimes some rock, hip hop. I know many people are against to EQ, but I just want to be happy so... thats it! Thank you very much

    • @its_yifang

      @@sandraBasso-g9j Mest 3 a bit warmer but I would most definitely not consider either of them as dark, and by no means do you lose any resolution on Mest 3 over Mest 2. That being said, the Uniquemelody Maven 2 has just released, and I think it's better than both Mest, especially for the genres you are listening to. It's a little cheaper than the Mest 3 too I believe, since Maven 2 is 1800USD and Mest 3 is supposed to be 1910USD.

    • @sandraBasso-g9j
      @sandraBasso-g9j 15 дней назад

      I will search about the maven 2. And considering the prices, the mkII would be 600 dolars cheaper than the MKIII with the stock cable (bought brand new). I would get the MKII because it looks the best bang for my bucket, but what worries me is lack of bass and sub bass. But the price difference is huge (considering the MKII a little less than 1k). Do you think the bass on the MKIII is actually different? Or it would be just a perception because of the tunning? Thank you for your help!
