    The directronix drop ins you are talking are they the same ones advertised on their website for the rs team 18 or did you have yours specially made? I've got 2 rs 18 teams on a crescendo bc17k at 1 ohm in a 6th order. Do these recones you have sound better than the original rs factory cones? Thanks for your time.

    Thats one awesome build bro, love to see the potential from single sub systems. I ran a soundstream x3 15 on a 4k for years and it did amazing, easily 150db

  • @modernbassheads5051
    @modernbassheads5051 2 года назад +1

    Thought it was a 4th order, interesting idea to use the box length as tricking the port into thinking it’s longer tuned essentially. Is there anyway to rough calculate this or just go by looks?
    Does this apply to vertical tall boxes? My Silverado has 2 zv5 18s in a 4th and the box is almost a 4:1 ratio but it’s tall

    Great work just found your channel and your build journey is great, it seems a lot of guys start with taramp and end up going high end. Do you notice big difference with crossfire amp and is it mostly damping factor that makes the big difference?

    • @SingleSubScrub
      @SingleSubScrub  2 года назад +1

      Honestly there isn't a massive difference. The crossfire is an absolute tank, but in terms of clamped power, I'm not seeing much more from the crossfire with my specific setup & box rise. And in terms of sound, if you have a crossover cutting 60+hz from your head unit, it sounds pretty much identical. So big difference? Not at all.

      @@SingleSubScrub ok sounds good well knowing what u know now would u spend the extra money for amp or settle with taramp, I’m due to upgrade and debating on what route to take

      @@modernbassheads5051 in his simulated example he shows two identical enclosures, one long and narrow, one a perfect cube. There is a 3hz resonance difference between the two. It's not an exact science, but in my personal experiments it's seemed to work well

      @@SingleSubScrub oh I didn’t see 3 hz, but yeah it makes sense because it tricks the port into thinking it’s being lengthened, I just needed an in depth video on it
