I am talking of the time around the 18th and early 19th century. Sheki of Azerbaijan is a significant city at the crossroads of the historic Silk Route. Today the caravanserais which used to be the roadside inn for travellers bear memories from a time long gone but not forgotten. Imagine a day staying in such a place! To become a part of the history and a part of the Silk Route tradition. Sheki’s caravanserais used to be centres for exchanges and negotiations for merchants and other people travelling along the Silk Route. It also provided a place to stay overnight in the city.
