    DMT changed my life. The day after smoking dmt, i realized i wasn't afraid to die anymore. remembering the trip was a little fuzzy obviously, because you forget most of what you experienced. But i know the main points i was getting from this experience. I knew that during that trip, i had the deepest understanding of everything. It all happened really fast. and it was like i was remembering where i had been before i even was born. I know for a fact that the feeling i got from this realm was nostalgic. It felt like i was in the deepest mediation possible, and i was able to tap into memories that i had long forgotten. But when you bring them to the surface, its obvious and clear once again, where you were before. The only thing is, where i feel like i was before, is soo complex, that i dont think any humans can understand even a small percentage of it. On dmt, the most brain shattering ideas, or even stuctures( geometric patterns) actually seems to make a lot of sense at the time. The understanding is beyond our brains comprehension. But i believe thats because we are not meant to experience the full capacity of that realm. We are in the 3D right now. Having 3rd dimensional experiences. Theres probably a reason as to why we are here. But the comprehension of why we are experiencing the 3D isn't accessed through this dimension.

    If anyone thinks the universe is chaotic. The word cosmos actually means order. So, everything that has happened was supposed to. It is just an order we can never comprehend.

    • @someone.who.is.me.
      @someone.who.is.me.  8 лет назад +54

      The word "cosmos" is just a word. Words were invented by humans. This is a common mistake, where people think that a word which is used to describe something holds more meaning than that which it is meant to describe. I make this mistake myself quite often. We are hypnotized by language.

    • @herbchief4378

      @herbchief4378 8 лет назад +4

      I certainly know that. However, most times we do have to use words to verbalize our thoughts. I think some people took my comment a little too seriously. It was more to point to the fact that whatever does happen in this universe absolutely has a good reason behind it. Only the chain of events that caused it run so deep it is impossible for us humans to even attempt to comprehend.

    I never have felt afraid of death, but I've felt so so sad about it. The thought of losing everything I have, losing everything I know, it makes me feel so empty inside. The idea that reincarnation is true really helps me, but it also makes me feel even more melancholic as I know that even if reincarnation is true, I will still lose everything, and I will never even know that I had existed before my new life begins. Bleh, terrible
    Edit: Anecdote. I remember as a child constantly asking my parents and sisters, "What would you guys think if I didn't exist?" expecting them to say that they would miss me and whatnot. When they told me that they couldn't miss me because if I never existed they would never have known to miss me, it really weirded me out and made me feel so strange about life. I never really knew or understood how to feel about these sorts of ideas until I took LSD and saw the world as if it were brand new, and my thought loops took me to many places. I dunno, existence is just so complicated and strange

    What i don't get is why am i this particular consciousness in this particular body. assuming i've got an equal chance of being any particular person born at any particular time (though I'm not sure whether we're all born at random times in the universe's life or sequentially along a timeline). How does a bunch of chemicals coming together as cells to form an human receive a unique consciousness and an ego?

    • @vizuz
      @vizuz 8 лет назад +73

      Because there is no 'you' and there is no unique consciousness or ego. This 'you' is an illusion where nothingness plays it is somethingness. Somethingness as in your thoughts, body, everything you think you are etc. But that person, as a tangible object, can not be found in the body. What you essentially are is the same as I am, the infinite consciousness, or the Absolute. The body appears in this consciousness, but everything that appears within this consciousness is the consciousness itself, thus one might say: "everything is one".

    • @LogosMind808

      your are just this person at this particular time you were the whole tree of life on earth from the first awakening of consciousness on earth from the first simpl life form to the last complax one which is human as you are in one now, you went through the whole journey of consciousness billions of you of evolution just to get here and now I'm this human body just imagine how was life in another animal life form you went through all the brutality of evolution you should appreciate that you are in a human body. You are now in this particular human body because that where your individual evolution lead you, you are on your own level of evolution everyone has he's own individual consciousness and everyon is on their own evolutionary level. The big question is what is next? What is the next step to take where our consciousness go after we are at the peak of evolution? we are now at the peak of physical evolution and evolution on earth is cyclical and not liner so the next step will be to get out of the animal cycal altogether to a realm where animals don't eat each other or a planet where there are no predatory behavior you can call it paradise. This other realm will not be different from earth all the universal laws will be the same the only difference will be is the life forms that live there will be totally alive and free they will be the highest evolved beings. The earths fate can be the same if people on earth wake up one way or another the earth will be heaven where highly evolved beings will live, it could take another billion years or maybe 100 years from now or we may destroy ourselves altogether and bacteria will have to evolve again and start all over again but that would be something very stupid to do because we did it once why do it again but from what I observed the evidence shows that mankind is heading towards that goal annihilation.

      @789Gta 8 лет назад +4

      Take this with a grain of salt, but my answer is simple:
      You're you for the same reason an apple (let's call it A) is A and not apple B. You're assuming consciousness or awareness is something seperate from the rest of the universe, or your body.
      But it seems that everything is interconnected. You are influenced by the air, the ground, sun, moon, other living beings (food), your parents, friends, color of your room, temperature, genetics, your body language and on and on. I could go on all day listing you everything that could possibly influence you and your so called decisions (free will), but in the end it seems rather obvious that you and the envoirnment are one thing.
      So yeah, you are you, and also everyone else. You are experiencing other people too. But the "you" I'm talking about is not only the "self" or "ego", but also the rest of the universe, which includes your subconscious activities in your brain, your entire organism, your envoironment and the rest of the universe.
      If we cloned you, let's call the "original" one A and the copy "B", both A and B would experience the same memories, same sense of self, same feelings, and both would think they're the "original" ones. A and B are equally valid and inseperable from its envoirnment, they're all one.

      An OBE is the sensation of your mind leaving your body. Using the scientific thought process, it is basically the part of your brain that anchors your sense of touch to your body being shutting off or being suppressed. The overall experience is caused by your brain trying to make sense of the world around you without your sense of touch and it manifests itself as your mind believing it is physically leaving your body.

    I too have recently quit psychedelics after a traumatic event that reshaped my life and blended my dreamscape with that of the reality we call the waking life. to relate my situation to yours, i too shall speak of a metaphor but in a different sense:
    Lets take the concept of a tree,
    A tree does not grow from nothing, it grows from a singularity between sky and soil. That which is particle, and that which is vibration with the liquid that is between. The sun pulls and attracts the seed from dark, cold, dust/particles. To say we all came from nothing is to neglect the use of the sun and water for the seed, & that it only needs soil. Without the sun, the tree has no life, no direction, no interaction besides with itself for it knows no other direction. The sun pulls the seed out of the soil, and the water is the force keeping the clay figure of the tree from turning back to the dust it came from. Not all trees make it and die off before bearing seed. Yet long live those who live for the well being of those also pulled by the light, and give many fruit bearing seed to give the opportunity of being pulled by the light to a forest worth of creation.
    Mahalo Ohana Brother, and my your journey towards the flaming flower be brought swiftly and bear seed as it appears to have done so already.

    The thing you said about the cosmos having many dreams in parallel, but us being able to focus on just one really speaks to me. Maybe that's what the the concept of a multiverse tells us? You know, the big bang being the event where our cosmos starts to experience itself and splits up into multiple threads, each perceiving their own universe?

Thats why he said "we tune in" the chemicals the atoms tune into consciousness, its why he said 'we' like that. "WE" as in all matter. Matter and energy gave itself consciousness. We, matter and energy, Gave ourselves humans and their consciousness. I get it now..

    *SWIM* - "...first we don't exist. we are nothing , then we exist so we are something and then we go back to being nothing again..."
    Dude, that's wrong for so many reasons I don't even know which one to begin with.
    We all learn in school that long time ago , longer than last Tuesday , people discovered something they believed to be really important. So important in fact that they agreed to make this discovery into a rule. And not just any rule but The First Rule of Thermodynamics !
    You guessed it , it's the energy conservation rule . This law means that energy can neither be created nor destroyed; rather, it can only be transformed from one form to another.
    Let me translate that into more easily understandable terms : *can neither be created nor destroyed* - actually means that one cannot bring into existence something that doesn't exist and that one cannot put out of existence something that exists.
    Your SELF , that indescribable bit , undeniably exists . We know that the body can be transformed, no question about that , but can that Self be put out of existence simply by transforming the body ?
    Apparently not. When people talk about "death" , the correct term we should use is "death of this body". That bit we call SELF , that impossible to measure or describe bit , we don't really have a logical reason to assume it can be destroyed or put out of existence.
    Does the ocean go into nothingness when a wave collapses and returns into the ocean that it was never separated from ? It sounds pretty foolish to assume that , doesn't it ?
    Why then when the body collapses we assume that we are going into non-existence ?
    We are just waves of the same consciousness, more or less aware of the fact that we are all part of it.
    I think that what we know so far clearly points out to the fact that a wave is just followed by another wave and another.....

      Like he mentioned in the video do not take it literal. By nothing, he meant something without being aware because you are without consciousness (pure awareness) if you get what I mean it's hard to explain but what you said nothing can neither be created nor destroyed implying a cycle which is how he explained it. Nothing is something.

    • @keegannipe2607
      @keegannipe2607 5 лет назад +2

      Very well explained. We are a concious energy aware of our own awareness which if you think about it is pretty incredible. This state of conciousness we have. When we are not thinking, when we are not doing anything. But when we are just there, present in the moment. What is that? It's not conciousness of the human body it's conciousness of the being, we are the infinite life force who exists having a human experience in these temporary bodies.

    • @pdfbrander
      @pdfbrander 5 лет назад +4

      "This law means that energy can neither be created nor destroyed; rather, it can only be transformed from one form to another". Is true. Your explanation of what that means is complete nonsense though, sorry. Go back and read the law. Especially the part about transformation. Your explanation says that once something (you) is created it is always that thing. This is nonsense and even directly contradicts the law of physics that you are trying to explain. Put the Deepak Chopra book down and pick up a real Physics book.

    • @luisp.cuellar619
      @luisp.cuellar619 5 лет назад +3

      That is why when someone tells you DO NOT TAKE IT LITERALLY ...THEN DO NOT DO THAT...! , that been said , i think what this guy SWIM is talking about is about when he says "we dont exist " is meaning "we do not remember who we are..., and then he goes to say " we may become the all " ...there then WE are YES something , we do exist as in a form of something which we cant recall but ...which we CAN NOT REMEMBER or identify as ourselves , therefore we do not exist as the ones we recognize to be when on this level of things. So yes you are right BUT not in the sense the guy SWIM meant , you are right in your argument but did not quite understood what he is talking about. Therefore you missed the mark mate. Cheers have a great life...and remember - be one with the wave -.

    The best explanation so far which I strongly believe. There is a collective meaning of life, for example if you are just a consciousness, you will want to experience something, some way of getting out of your loneliness. The best way will be to imagine yourself as a separate entity and force yourself to forget who you really are. Recently while I was meditating, I remembered how I was perceiving life as a kid and I realized that it was way more colorful and vivid, the feeling was like I was dropped here on this world to witness its wonders and have a nice journey, everything was like made for me to see, touch, taste and smell, like living in a fairy tale then I realized that it is actually a super realistic game in which you are supposed to choose your own quests and complete them. There is no meaning, but you craft a meaning of it because in this game there will always be something to keep you focused and occupied.

If you want proof you literally have to find out for yourself. No one else can provide it for you. I once asked the same question. I started meditating. I started asking questions. Now I'm at a point where I know the truth about life and existence and about why we are here. I've gotten to the point where I can see the physical manifestation of energy in thin air. If I focus on an area of space time for a few seconds I can see a very distinct wave effect that looks like the heat waves that you see on the road on a very hot day. And a passage to another life sounds good, too, because he'll get to hang out with cool people from the past who have already died Therefore, either way, death is nothing to fear, Socrates' idea of the afterlife was Hades which he pictured alot like athens.

    one question that i have is, what happens with Cryonics, you say that at some point you could come back and be born again, but what if your previous body is brought back to life at a later date by being unfrozen and using technology they have, if you have already been reborn, what happens with your previous body

      If we are going with the idea that when we die our consciousness transfers to the "one," then maybe when they are brought back they will lack consciousness and only have the body machines working. If not that, then maybe the consciousness doesn't actually make that transition because the death process did not end. No way to know, but speculation is fun!

    When you die you will remember not only your own life, but you will remember the lives of everybody. That's the moment when you understand that you were all of them! So please make every place on this Earth a good place to live, because you might spend your next life there.

    Imagine being alive forever and never dying. You’d be so insanity bored of life and nothing would ever be exiting, you would have no joy left in life. It’s good for us to die and maybe get to have a different body with a new brain and re experience everything again

    while im dreaming i say this IS reality when i wake up i say this IS reality and when i die i would say this IS reality , what is Reality? ive always thought that GOD is the only real THING and all of us are nothing but projections of him trying to understand his INNER SELF

      Opposites are a human construct though, I don't think there is such thing as definite opposites in the cosmos, so you can't really make sense of the universe using that idea.

      +GFMRLL To us on planet earth, yes. But universally speaking there is no day and night is space, this can only be defined by the orientation of the earth and sun. The concept of opposites and other human constructs that cause limitations was explained to me in a lecture and it completely fucked with my mind, still don't really understand it tbh but was very thought provoking!

      the point of all spiritual teachings is that there IS no such thing as "a past life".The only thing that exists is "now". All the rest is a construct of your mind.

    I don't necessarily agree with you 100%. I did learn alot from this video and I appreciate the fact that you decided to share such an incredibly interesting message for the world to see. The *way* that you bring your ideas to the table, the respect that comes through your tone, and your general attitude towards ideas you might not subscribe to, in *my* opinon, is what makes this channel wonderful. When discussing such topics, presenting things in a black and white manner is counter productive and I'm glad I came across a person that doesn't hide the fact that he doesn't know the truth, but rather provides a possible explanation. I'm really glad I came across this channel, and I'm definitely staying. Thanks.

    According to an NDEs, the brain does not hold the memory, when a person has an NDE, the brain shuts down and that person still retains the memory, as their true selves: A conscious entity... I’m not sure if taking DMT is giving one a glimpse in the afterlife, as this acts only on the brain and making that person hallucinate in this world.

    My god Adam, this is my first time watching a SWIM video of yours. You get it dude, I've been flooded with these thoughts after my use of 1P-LSD, and I get everything you mentioned in this video with a crazy nostalgic deja vu. I wasn't spiritual before LSD, and I'm still trying to stay grounded, but damn I cannot wait for the part of my life where I feel I should experience DMT. So humble to see you stare into the eyes of madness and laugh at the void staring back at you. I'm right there with you in Nirvana, my friend.

    What you said about the ego existing separate from the universe around us. I understood you fully and can’t believe I didn’t think of that... mind blown and that anxiety is now lessened. *ty sir*
