Have a 2018 H2 SX SE, first owner. This model year does not have the electronic suspension adjustment of the SE +. Bike is stable at high speed without a steering damper. It handles wind well, head and cross, including the front blast zone when passing a semi. On the 2018 you have low, medium, high for power and 1, 2, 3 for traction control. I have toured cross country on this bike several times. Everything you need in my opinion. And having cruise control is quite nice. Packed 2 weeks of gear, still had about 150 miles per fuel up, even when riding hard. As we all know, it is about smiles per gallon. Definitely recommend an ECU flash to pull out the throttle jitters. On technical twisties you will feel the weight when flicking the bike, but if you are use to sport touring machines, not an issue. Around 564ish pounds wet. Definitely want to turn engine braking off, it is aggressive. Heated grips are on when green, level is being adjusted when flashing yellow, there are 3 power levels. I just skimmed the manual when I bought the bike. I did not find the menu confusing in my opinion. End of the day you will enjoy the bike.
Everything this guy says also applies to the 2019 I can tell you from experience. Especially the part about the ECU flash. Remove the rev limiter, limiter in specific gears and throttle valve limiter. It will unleash the beast + greatly improve your overall driving experience. Basically the stock configuration is crap.

I'm glad I bought that extended warranty, because I had to replace my ECU, and O-ring from the engine, and that was about $1,500, which my extended warranty covered all of that.

It's nice to see some videos on RUclips of my favorite motorcycle. I'm super excited to eventually have enough money to afford one of these bikes. The SXSE plus H2 motorcycle would be super cool to have, as it has many bells and whistles that would make it a pretty amazing touring sport bike. It can also go fast enough at top speed for drag racing, if desired. While it may not be the most preferred motorcycle for racing, it's still a sports bike and can reach a pretty fast top speed. I think I saw someone on RUclips at one point tune it to go a top speed of 201 mph, so it definitely has some impressive speed. All in all, this will be a bike to enjoy.😁

The bike is top heavy but not heavy overall compared to a touring bike. Z1000 with a fairing and touring seat. Basic Ninja with electronics...and the super charger flattens the torque curve as in a straight line across mostly not a bending one from low to high...called a linear curve. Turbo F150 does the same thing.
The heated grip button, when it's green, that's when it's heating up.. If you left it green for like a minute you would have felt the heat in your palms.. Not sure why you kept pressing the button without waiting to see what each light indicator would do.. It's a heater, so it takes time to heat up man. Aside from that, great review. I love mine!

The Connie with its big fairing, power windscreen, and flatter seat keep things comfortable out back for her. My Connie also has 2 inch bar risers on the stock handlebars which stock are already much higher than the SX’s clipons. I’m not sure why a little less weight and simple cruise control system was a big ask?

Just been looking into these. Apparently Kawasaki massively limits the power output of this engine in this bike. I am seeing people getting them tuned and the nannies taken off and they are 230 to 240 at the wheel. Supposedly this is a conservative tune. So that means these things are capably of 260 or 270 hp at the crank. I really want one of these now.
Engine puts out 310bhp. You do a bit of tuning on this thing and you have a monster. There was a guy here on RUclips and his was putting out 250 at the crank after a bit of work. But with increased HP, lower fuel economy.
I have SXSE+ too. If you more than 90kg you really shuold think two times. Yes very convinient, but the springs are way to soft. And Kawasaki absolutely refuse give any information about the suspension. Except the fact that + version have longer springs in front. To your friend think H2SXSE+ is to much, what about some of the Harleys?
The system options can be a little confusing to begin with. It's a high tech bike. Nevertheless, after a quick read of the manual & learning how to use, it's all pretty easy. Maybe try doing that before you ride a bike? All due respect ;)
OC: It was great to see your thoughts about the Kawasaki H2 sx se +. for me thought that the bike is a great Touring bike. i wanted to see your thoughts bout the bike and to see what the guys thought about it. thanks for checking the bike out. i a thinking on getting this bike, but i will have to save up to get it.
You say "love the ability to never have to adjust your suspension, yet I hear that although dampening is automatically set on both ends, you still have to manually adjust preload in the front. Is that true?
Last year that the SX could be flashed for it's full 220+ horsepower. 2022-current has a different ECU and has still not been cracked. So FYI if you're considering buying an H2 SX and piping and flashing it into a 220+ horsepower monster do NOT buy a 2022-2024 because you will be stuck on stock power for an unforeseeable amount of time.
OC: I figured it would handle good but not as good as you said. I expected it to feel a bit heavier in the turns but I know they make great touring bikes and there must be a reason for it.
The main problem with most of the fancy stuff like lean, throttle and boost meters is pretty useless. When you open this bike up aint no way you looking down to look at your boost level. After 8000rpm this bike glue your eyes on the road. Aint got no time to look at these things much.
Should’ve done your homework before testing this bike!! Controls are easy to figure out and as for the heated grips, they are three stage heating, hence the flashing 1 2 or 3 times then going green!!
That looks like an amazing bike. Way to much power for myself but as a motorcycle fan super dope to watch a bike that big haul ass like hyper sport. Horrible name but awesome bike especially for 25k and has a ton of features.
You know, I think there’s too much horsepower too, people keep thinking when they get on a. Kawasaki H2 bike they’ll just be dead. Then when they get on it, they talk about how manageable and good they feel. See Whitney on Yaminoob’s channel, she said she was terrified about climbing on the ZH2 for the first time, when rode it she said it was one of the best experiences she ever had.
@@chalkdemon8019 I only mean as a first or second bike. After a bit of experience I’d love to own it. I’d love to own after a year or 2 year of riding. I’m in my 30s so mainly getting a bike for commuting to work and touring around which this bike would be awesome just worried being relatively new to riding that it would be to much hp at the moment.
OC: Seems like uh...almost every time you ride a Kawasaki, you're pleasantly surprised. Frankly, it kinda seems like most of the youtubers have a bias toward Yamaha or Honda and tend to kind of brush Kawasaki aside. Maybe that's just me, or maybe Kawasaki just doesn't work with enough content creators to have their name making rounds (unlike Yamaha and Triumph who seem to be extra keen on handing out loaners and exploiting this market). I digress, the H2 SX SE+ is my dream "dad bike". I assumed it was phenomenal, just from reading the spec sheet and every time someone reviews one, they kinda say the same thing (except maybe FortNine). My only issue is that 33" seat height, which is a good bit of a stretch for my stubby 29" inseam. 33" would be fine on something lighter like a Svartpilen 401 or something similar, but on a bike that heavy, it's too much of a stretch for me (Im 5'3" and 130lbs). Ergo seat brings it down to 32.3" which is more manageable but still a little tough for me, personally. I still daydream about getting one though.
Sorry, but kawasaki don't need to work with anybody to get their name around. They're the world superbike champions, they have the fastest production bike record and have held lots of them over the years. Everybody on earth could tell you that a lime green bike is a kawasaki ninja. I get what you're saying, but kawasaki bikes can sell themselves without people on RUclips having to promote them.
@@dennisclark9544 I hope you realize I'm not disrespecting Kawasaki. I've owned 2, 1 of which I currently own and am never getting rid of. I bleed green dude. I just want more Kawasaki content everywhere
6:27 I do not agree at all. Many people also bought the much cheaper H2 SX standard version in black 2018 when they had that option. You still had the bags, some safety electronics, cruise control and that awesome supercharged engine but nothing other than that and the price was quite a lot cheaper. If you did not want your bike in green, which many people do not want on their bike, and if you did not want the bike to almost ride itself with too much electronics, that H2 SX standard was perfect for the cheaper price. I see that bike a lot on the used market and sometimes outside so I do not think it sold that bad, I think Kawasaki stopped selling it because they are greedy and want to sell the more expensive H2 SX SE because they want to sell as expensive bikes as possible =( 7:04 I do not think it is too far forward at all for a sport touring bike, I feel it is exactly how a SPORT touring bike should be , slightly canted forward, semi aggressive. So you still feel and ride sporty but in a comfortable way, it is the best riding position on a SPORT touring bike there is. Much rather travel like that than having all of the weight on your a$s and getting all the windblasts sitting straight up like you do on "sport" touring bikes like the S1000XR and Tracer 900 and so on =(
5:01 I believe that thing measures the “G” forces. How many “G’s” are forcing you backwards while on the throttle. And forward while on the brakes. These bikes are get to smart. I’m worried that all the tech might take the whole, rider and machine bond, away. I’m starting to miss the days where your bike never asked you if you were absolutely sure that you wanted to pull this wheelie or not. Or never stopped you from burning out or opening the throttle wide open. The only thing all this new tech does is make more younger riders over confident. It places training wheels on the bike and never come off. And that makes them unpredictable if they hop on any bike without. Where as someone who started off with bikes that where only limited by the riders abilities. I can see the up side to these bikes as well. If you aren’t expected. The tech on these bikes help a shiz ton on cost. If your newer to riding and your goal is to ride a super bike. You can buy one of these bikes and turn on all the restrictions. So it won’t allow you to flip the bike if you grab all the throttle and dump the clutch. It won’t even let you wheelie if that happened. It cuts the power by damn near half. And now they have radar cruise control!!! So you can buy one bike and be able to grow into it, so to speak. So you won’t have to buy a 250 or 600cc bike. And then later have to buy a bigger bike because you’ve outgrown the smaller bike.
Hey Chase, Ruroc put up a thicker comfort liner set for the Atlas 3.0 helmets. Can you please test it? Want to see a review before I buy anything from Ruroc again. From the pictures I'd say this is what they should have launched the helmets with in the first place, but sure steal another 40 euros from me for that shit.

OC: The Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX SE+ BY GOD PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO NAME THINGS ANYMORE. For over 25k it has all the electronics and features you'd want. But damn it's the worst at riding slow. Made for the highway and highway alone. Spending so much and for easily 70% to 80% of the time if you daily it you'd be riding a fast bike slow.

But with increased HP, lower fuel economy.
remember h2 sx compression ratio are 11.2:1 compared to h2 8.3:1 be careful about the heat
@@boniedwin Yaa h2sxse is definitely not for race. It is a touring motorcycle. It would be stupid to mod it above 300whp.
Excellent review. Id love to get a 1000sx but for the tech I think I should pick up an extra job to afford this 😂
OC: It was great to see your thoughts about the Kawasaki H2 sx se +. for me thought that the bike is a great Touring bike. i wanted to see your thoughts bout the bike and to see what the guys thought about it. thanks for checking the bike out. i a thinking on getting this bike, but i will have to save up to get it.
How tall is the test rider? The leg angle looks quite uncomfortable... is the bike still good for taller riders and for longer rides?
You say "love the ability to never have to adjust your suspension, yet I hear that although dampening is automatically set on both ends, you still have to manually adjust preload in the front. Is that true?
5 minutes and yur finally on the road
Last year that the SX could be flashed for it's full 220+ horsepower. 2022-current has a different ECU and has still not been cracked. So FYI if you're considering buying an H2 SX and piping and flashing it into a 220+ horsepower monster do NOT buy a 2022-2024 because you will be stuck on stock power for an unforeseeable amount of time.
OC: I figured it would handle good but not as good as you said. I expected it to feel a bit heavier in the turns but I know they make great touring bikes and there must be a reason for it.
Yea I was surprised as well
Chase can't believe you didn't call this the Ninja H2 Sexy +
Reminds me of one of them plus sized models lol
The main problem with most of the fancy stuff like lean, throttle and boost meters is pretty useless. When you open this bike up aint no way you looking down to look at your boost level. After 8000rpm this bike glue your eyes on the road. Aint got no time to look at these things much.
FEEL and feel and feel ,feel ,feel .
Should’ve done your homework before testing this bike!!
Controls are easy to figure out and as for the heated grips, they are three stage heating, hence the flashing 1 2 or 3 times then going green!!
Should I buy this one or the new hayabusa?
I believe what you need just honda grom
OC nice bike, would be my upgrade if i ever get rid of my Ninja 1000 abs.
So, is the Supercharger a bad thing combined with the Power band on a 998cc engine?
I've been watching this channel since before Chase crashed some other dudes Ducati lol
I see that bike a lot on the used market and sometimes outside so I do not think it sold that bad, I think Kawasaki stopped selling it because they are greedy and want to sell the more expensive H2 SX SE because they want to sell as expensive bikes as possible =(
7:04 I do not think it is too far forward at all for a sport touring bike, I feel it is exactly how a SPORT touring bike should be , slightly canted forward, semi aggressive. So you still feel and ride sporty but in a comfortable way, it is the best riding position on a SPORT touring bike there is. Much rather travel like that than having all of the weight on your a$s and getting all the windblasts sitting straight up like you do on "sport" touring bikes like the S1000XR and Tracer 900 and so on =(
I hear that the twitchyness is due to fuel mapping going lean off throttle to reduce emissions.
I wish you would do a first ride on the 2022 hyabusa.
15:52 must have been 150mph +
Oh look it’s the ruroc guy LMFAO
lmao. more like ruroc r7 guy
KAWASAKI 🔥
Chase can you please review the Honda CB1000R? Honda’s 998cc Naked bike. I’d really appreciate you’re review on one. And there aren’t very many good reviews on it from Americans.
I recently rode a 2018 model!
Great bike...bro next tym just increase the frame rate of the cam to 60fps...its too laggy..just pointed out..otherwise great video as always..peace 😊
I just watched this on my 60 inch TV in 4k, and never had any issues with any part of the video being laggy
@@dennisclark9544 i am specifically talking abt the refresh rate...30fps doesnt cut it any more..1080p 60 is fyn...i am watching on a smartphone
It seriously looked like the ffwd button was pushed on the freeway.... I think I'd like that.
i have a track ready vfr800 and a concours 14 for other rides. this seems like it's both and i want it XD
That’s with all litre bikes. Overkill.
glad you now blank out the speedo!!!
lol did you say you ride a fz10 and then complain about a twitchy throttle on the H2 I traded my fz10 for the sxse
Did they stop making these?
How does it compare to a zx14r
Awesome review 👍🏾
"Im always jumping on it!"
Pause
"It's big, it's powerful!"
Pause
Jk🤣
Can you do a first ride with the CB650 R
Can you please review a ninja 1000sx
You still have to make the video of the zh2 se2021
Please try your hardest to test a zh2 🙏🙏🙏🙏
This or the zx14r?
zx14 have no electronics. But it is more affordable. I think H2sxse is more good choice.
OC: this is the Concurs’ altered ego or may be the Concurs is Clark Kent and ZX-14R is Superman? Hmmmm?
Can you hit more redlights please.
