I can relate so much :) After realizing that the path I had for many years thought my life would take was not making me - and would never make me - happy (med school) I fell into a 18 months period of hard depression. It was playing 6 months of World of Warcraft that gave me confidence again. I started feeling better and then one day I was ready to take on another thing which I am feeling extremely fulfilled with. It is finding the point to stop playing it that is crucial! Otherwise it can be addictive. But I will never forget my days as an officer mage in my raiding guild going through Black Temple, Mount Hyjal and ofcourse Sunwell Plateau.
I played World of Warcraft for 10 years. Loved this interview, and I never watched Conan in the past. I'll be sure to tune into his shows when I get the chance. By the way....a very long time ago I worked at a company that rented cars in Texas and Conan was running late for some type of awards ceremony or something. I didn't know who he was at the time, but I went out of my way to get an expensive car for him. Only after I got the car did he tell me who he was. I doubt he remembers, but I thought I'd share anyway. He was extremely nice and down to earth. He came off like a very kind hearted person who cared a lot about people, and was also very humble. I was just some low level employee at the company, but he thanked me over and over and shared stories. Very cool guy. The only other famous people I met were also in Texas...Bone Thugs N Harmony and Vanilla Ice. Bone Thugs N Harmony would buy stuff from me and Vanilla Ice was just someone I knew. Theyre all very chill people. I also dated a famous Dallas Cowboys players X wife for 2 years lol. Ok...I'm done. That's all the famous people I know. Well....I live down the street from the Jonas Brothers and Terry Bradshaw in Southlake but I never see them. Terry likes to hangout at the country club and hit on all the lovely ladies. I live a strange life...
It really is amazing how far reaching WoW is, literally any walk of life can be found in that game. I hope WoW classic has a large fanbase returning to it :)
It's super cool how Conan didn't immediately jump on how nerdy WOW is. Like he could have used that as an opportunity to make the crowd laugh by knocking something many people don't understand but knowing his guest had a special connection to it he just professionally rolled along. You da man coco
Mate, you should, but not now. Wait bit for legion, otherwise you will be moneytrapped. There is no real reason to play before legion if you don't have lots of time. I played and kept spending on months etc. but I stopped and wait for legion.

+Kingsoupturbo as far as I know it's absolutely legit! he often tweeted about WoW before the movie happened and it even says on his wiki page that he used to be a professional gamer :)
+Anne C Interesting! I did some googling on him and it all looks true, 473 days of Game time, top 10 in his class in the world, pretty hardcore! amazing to be a handsome famous actor and end up hanging out playing WoW all day! (not that I didn't like WoW but errr wow!)

+DIDGCARNAGE Then it shouldn't bother you even slightly. Unless you're fighting in your head if you really have that many people you would consider "friends" and that's why you play the game, chap.
+Gabriel Gama Well, Orgrim Doomhammer in main timeline died during assault on minor Internment camp in the middle of a book, so...it will be in a levelling side-quest done by Thrall :D
Wow I agree with this guy. I've been staying home for about 3 years now but for a program called independent studies where I go to school 1 time a week and get packs and packets of work. Im a senior now and I can honestly say Ive never been happier. My family thinks Im depressed or some crap but Im not. I really enjoyed my time. Watching Anime. playing DCUO, ESO, Halo 5, Smite, AC4, Dark Souls, and many other amazing games. I also Go to a career training school where I study at an Auto body shop everyday for 3hrs. rest of my time is spent at home relaxing.
I worked at a place where people were constantly taking vacation days to travel, go horseback riding, go to concerts, etc. I planned ahead, and asked well in advance for two days off when a World of Warcraft expansion was coming out. I didn't say why, because I assumed no one cared. A co-worker told others I was off playing video games. When I came back from my vacation days, I was pulled aside by management who said that's "not what vacation days are for" and that our clients "deserved better" from me. I felt so guilty, ashamed, and stupid for asking for those days off, even though in my mind everyone took vacation days for hobby-related activities, and my hobby wasn't horseback riding, it was WoW. Now I see this guy, and he makes me feel better about the whole thing :)
+Pinky Seferelis exactly. Playing games makes me feel terrible about myself. It's a guilty pleasure because I give up working or doing sports. I decided not to travel this vacation but to play instead though...
Jesus, when Conan said that he's a fighter, I took it literally and was genuinely surprised as to why I haven't heard of him lol. I looked him up expecting a fight-record. He's an actor and a model Conan, not a fighter. Anyhoo, huge Warcraft fan. Excited for the movie.
Yep. I put people who don't like video games in the same category as people who swear off books, t.v., music, and movies (although that's a small group). That category is: people I feel sorry for. Sure they miss out on some garbage, but they also miss out on some masterpiece level works of art that give a richness to our lives. I have felt playing a game like The Last of Us, the same way I felt watching The Godfather, or reading Lord of the Rings, or listening to The Cure's Disintegration album.
I like video games but ultimately they are a waste of time. But so are things like movies and listen in to music. Not saying they are bad, but they are a complete waste.
That depends on what you value. If you had fun, then perhaps none of that time was a waste. If success in life is valued higher than your happiness, then it surely is a waste. Its different for everyone.
I should say that he was AMAZING in EastEnders, some of the best acting I've ever seen and I completely understand why people thought he was genuinely like his character, because he played it so well. His characters name was Sean if anyone feels like looking it up.
I really enjoyed him in Eastenders, he was one of my favorite characters. It's a shame their people who can't separate real people from being actors who they see on screen.
+Amaresh Bhaskaran That game is no fun if you suck, maybe for five minutes you mess with the chickens, but from there on out he'd consistently die in not so funny ways.
World of Warcraft in small proportions is a spectacle to behold - if you find the right balance then you can truly gain alot from WoW. But nothing beats sitting in your room for a month, ordering pizza and binging WoW with some friends or alone with strangers. Just 5 minutes ago i joined a pre-made Arena 2v2 team and we binged for 3 hours straight and even though we lost roughly 50% we enjoyed each-others company and it was epic. So if you have never played WoW - I suggest you pick it up - because it'll either be the best decision of your life or the worst.
+KMarnat cuz going out of my safe house away from the freezing weather out into the street that's like 5 feet away will be wonderful and i can totally go and do the things i want/can like i can in video games right?

I even lost my laptop and I can’t play any Dota! Now all I want is to buy a laptop and play Dota for 18 hours a day! Pray for me people
Am I the only one who thought it seemed like Conan cut him off because of that? Like he didn't want it to accidentally turn into not selling the movie.
+Demigodish4o3 He was speaking about himself on screen. Of course his character is completely CGI, have you seen him? Why would this bite the movie in the ass?
Anustart Im just not getting my hopes up. It's better that way. Less sadness if the movie dissapoints. I love the CGI for the orcs, I just missunderstood what he said a little bit.
Demigodish4o3 Ah ok, yeah dont get your hopes up. Too much hype is what will kill this movie. But yeah, the movie is not completely CGI if thats what you were thinking.
I'ma trans girl.. and World of Warcraft allowed me to be myself as my character when i was depressed and not able to understand what transgender even was.... I could just log in and be me without any one judging me and it was great to feel like I could just be myself... and then I in real life I got enough confidence to become who I am now! and life is a lot better, I still play WoW but for different reasons, just because I enjoy PvP from time to time but I don't play as much as before because now I can be me in real life! yay lol :P
You are not the only one. I know two trans friends that WoW helped them find themselves. One always played Draenei men and the other loved to be gorgeous Night and Blood Elves. Amazing that a game about fantasy war became a safe haven for leveling up ourselves.
No one cares. Then again I guess it only matters to you, and that’s what ultimately matters. Though I find the concept what you do gross, and weird. I guess it’s no different than eating ass or being a furry. It’s just a life style. I may not agree or like it, but I won’t stomp it out. Its not my place. It’s not like you are butchering people in public. I suppose you are like everyone else, either a benefit or a hazard. So far I see no hazard. Just a little quirk. Then again we are all little quirks. Now if your are an alliance pig, now that’s truly a crime!

That was a sad story. How come people aren't smart enough to know actors are playing characters on TV?!
You da man coco
listening to him makes me wanna go back to WoW =(
+magicman33221 Do it.... ONE OF US, ONE OF US
Mate, you should, but not now. Wait bit for legion, otherwise you will be moneytrapped. There is no real reason to play before legion if you don't have lots of time.
I played and kept spending on months etc. but I stopped and wait for legion.
Never played WOW but I'm going to see the film in theatre just for him. This interview really moved me.
Did somebody say; " [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?"
Great story revealing the ingenuity of people to use elements of their life to improve on a negative situation. Good on you, Kazinsky!
I can agree that my happiest times were spending the summer playing DayZ with my friends 18 hours a day.
I had no expectations...but I really enjoyed this interview. An interesting life story, and he was so articulate and charming while telling it
OMG! it's The Don from Captain Marvel, the "real" hero of that film.
I'm so happy he's on Conan and hope he will be on many other talk shows. Been obsessed with him since Pacific Rim
+Anne C Thats what I remember him from! another sort of badguy role for him! I wonder if the WoW stuff is legit or he just says that for the movie? probably legit, fascinating!
I hate going to bars for exactly the reason he says. I'm 6'2" and about 235 lbs and everytime I go to a bar some douche comes over to mess with me. Just minding my own business. Annoying.
+CurseTheDawn alcohol makes people want to fight the biggest guy in the bar, weed makes them want to ask the biggest guy questions about what its like being a giant. Ones illegal and fun, the others legal and violent. The wrong one is legal. lol
+Tom Gallagher - The Comic Book Cast Which one is legal again?
+ThiVas wut
+Tom Gallagher - The Comic Book Cast yeah its really unfair, it makes me lose faith in humanity when someone critizes me for smoking pot, and then I see them on snapchat passed out drunk. But i know its gonna be legal very soon. Keep on toking brother!
+CurseTheDawn it's even more fun when you bounce at a college bar
What a nice guy.
2:22 - Why most people play MMOs.
I recently stopped playing WoW because it consumed too much of my time, literally a month just went by on that game and now this video!?!?! DAMN YOU BLIZZARD!
+DIDGCARNAGE Happens to a lot of people, but in many cases those are the people who don't have that many friends outside of it to begin with, so they aren't missing out on too much.
And that insult was necessary?
DIDGCARNAGE
Hardly an insult, simply a fact.
Well honestly it was an indirect insult but who cares, you're probably right however that isn't the case for me.
+DIDGCARNAGE Then it shouldn't bother you even slightly. Unless you're fighting in your head if you really have that many people you would consider "friends" and that's why you play the game, chap.
Hopefully in the movie he'll get to do more than die as a part of a shitty leveling side-quest.
+Gabriel Gama Doubt it. That means they'd need to cut off big part of Thrall's origin story. He'll probably survive to possible future movies.
Yeah, I know, it was a joke...
It should've been obious by the fact movies don't have leveling side-quests.
+Melra If they did they could always relegate that to the sequel.
+Gabriel Gama Well, Orgrim Doomhammer in main timeline died during assault on minor Internment camp in the middle of a book, so...it will be in a levelling side-quest done by Thrall :D
That's... actually accurate. I'm depressed now...
If you attack an actor for playing a character that is a bit mean, you might be mentally handicapped.
I guess?
People take acting to seriously.
Rob is a cool guy. Great actor. Deserves everything good he gets in life
Robert Kazinsky were in "Pacific rim" right?
yes.
+Clownshock yeah, he played Chuck, the australian guy that was piloting a jeager with his dad
+Clownshock oh yea... is that why he was getting picked on!?
+Ida Gramatikova oh that guy
+Andros Forever no no.. it was his role on East Enders
I decided not to travel this vacation but to play instead though...
think of all the money you saved. Its more economical to travel in game than irl.
Why would anyone punch this sweet, handsome man?
Because people grow selfish and cowardly nowadays. Those who can fight without hesitation, boom.
I met him very briefly in his eastenders days, glad to see he's now an LA based actor!!! Well done!
come on shaun, stacey needs ya!!
IVE ALWAYS LOVED 'ROBERT KAZINSKY. GORGEOUS GUY, ... MY ROLE MODEL. KEEP ON ROCKING 'KAZINSKY
'
always gonna remember this guy as the fairy/vampire hybrid from true blood lmao.
When I was growing up, my parents told me that video games were a waste of time.
They are the most miserable people I know.
+Michael W Do they still think that video games is a waste of time?
+Michael W lol
I like video games but ultimately they are a waste of time. But so are things like movies and listen in to music. Not saying they are bad, but they are a complete waste.
That depends on what you value. If you had fun, then perhaps none of that time was a waste. If success in life is valued higher than your happiness, then it surely is a waste. Its different for everyone.
Can't wait to see this movie and i'm glad that ogrim is played by a Warcraft lover
That's fucked up that people would do that
+NuclearMoose Its great actually, you just work and game, and barely have to deal with people. People suck.
+leslucas I think he meant it's fucked up that people would treat him like that based on a character he plays in a show.
+Anton Broomé you got it
+Anton Broomé you got it
Anton Broomé My bad, Im an idiot :p
Finally someone bomb who plays wow. They should have him voice some characters.
"That's all I wanted to get out of this interview"
HAHA CONAN IS AWESOME!!! I LAUGHED THROUGHOUT XoD Especially the ending!!!! I was in tears! I love his dialogue delivery!!!! CONAN ROCKS!
Long Live The Don, The One True Saviour!
I was looking through latest comments in search for this, God Bless The Don.
I should say that he was AMAZING in EastEnders, some of the best acting I've ever seen and I completely understand why people thought he was genuinely like his character, because he played it so well. His characters name was Sean if anyone feels like looking it up.
Conan you filthy casual, you don't play WoW on a controller >.<
Ekhm - PC MASTER RACE!
+WisniowyCzlek That was a Joystick tho..
+WisniowyCzlek Joystick*
+WisniowyCzlek GET THEM PITCHFORKS! PC MASTER RACE!
+WisniowyCzlek Could be worse. He could arena as a keyboard turner.
pepprdgefarm
oh my! that would send me straight to oncology
Man.. hat off to this guy. He actually gave me hope in a strange type of way.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the actor who played Joffry has the same problem too.
I saw a video about that once, ironically he's like one of the nicest people you'd ever meet
AeroCS yeah, no matter how nice you are though there are some morons out there who can't seem to separate fiction from reality.
Hes face is very punchable tho... xD
I really enjoyed him in Eastenders, he was one of my favorite characters. It's a shame their people who can't separate real people from being actors who they see on screen.
I gained like 5 pounds since Classic came out.
i lost like 10 pounds since classic came out, eating is downtime LUL
This dude is actually very good and charismatic actor ! Would love to see more of him
Conan should do csgo on clueless gamer
Nah
Yes!
+Amaresh Bhaskaran Bad idea, his brain impulses take a year to reach the end of his limbs. :D
+Amaresh Bhaskaran y
If your personality is obsessive and addictive then don't do any of the following.
I remember this guy off eastenders haha
I respect that level of honesty.
Well kids, play more WoW and other videogames, dont listen to your parents saying you should go outside, cuz that life can lead to wonderful things :D
***** I guess opening a window a few times a day, or a week could help.
+KMarnat cuz going out of my safe house away from the freezing weather out into the street that's like 5 feet away will be wonderful and i can totally go and do the things i want/can like i can in video games right?
+KMarnat Going outside is for losers.
shame tactics incoming!
How am i sad? Im just giving so good advice here...
been there :) looking for forward to the movie and Conan as always, superb.
18 hours a day of world of Warcraft , for me it’s Dota . Maaaaan what a life
Recently i have been going through a hard time , lost gf and family problems , bla bla ... I even lost my laptop and I can’t play any Dota!
Now all I want is to buy a laptop and play Dota for 18 hours a day!
Pray for me people
You can get through it. Remember there is no surrender in Dota. :)
Such a refreshing change this guy seems so cool, down to earth and humble! Just normal!
"It's all CGI" Oh how I hope that doesnt bite the movie in the ass.
Am I the only one who thought it seemed like Conan cut him off because of that? Like he didn't want it to accidentally turn into not selling the movie.
+wickkidda Part of Conans job is to help promote the movie of his guest, so I doubt you're on the right track.
It takes some confidence to be this raw.
Dirge?
Best video on channel to date
I know it's been 2 years since you posted this but ty for doing so. I found some great music by accidentally tapping on you profile.
Mad Friend "accidentaly"
Papa Sheev It's obvious that you cared enough to write a long comment. Very self defeating. You just look like a dumb, scared bigot barking like tiny dog at anything it doesn't understand.
Robert, you're genuinely awesome
Hey Anita Sarkeesian crowd? You seeing this? You hearing this?
THIS IS WHAT GAMING DOES TO NORMAL PEOPLE?!?!
+Rik Speek Makes people fat and happy.
Mastikator We have a saying in my country which translates a bit like... "Fat people are fun". So I see no problem, esp[ecially as I'm a fat ass myself. ;)
+Mastikator Bitch you're the one with a Kerbal Space Program profile pic 😂
+Zaboomba! Doesn't mean he isn't fat and happy himself.
Straw men? Straw man? Straw man?
STTTTRRAAAWWW MMMMAAAANNNNN?!?!
This guy is an absolute tank. His new show Second Chance is pretty good!
Game to live. Live to game.
i can relate to this guy so much... was not exactly fame in the same way, but people told lies about me in the town and it was a hard time.
conan doesnt know what a pc game is
3:03 Apparently Conan plays WoW with an Atari controller and Kazinsky plays it by making impressions of Oliver Hardy.
Eastenders boii
Nah i think 'true blood' made him famous.
Eastenders is literally the most watched tv show in the UK
@@GreatestAlive29 the UK. Not the world. True blood was watched by millions and millions.
@@TabsT-vy5jy No one in america was punching him in the head
this guy is awesome, saw him for the first time at blizzcon 2014. hilarious, witty and good looking.
Hahaha yeah, I can see eastenders fans doing that.
Wonderful man...I guess i should go visit Azeroth now. back to my roots
LF 2s partner
I know I'm a year late, but this genuinely made me laugh. Here, take my like random guy.
this dude is cool. you can tell that he is really honest and loved playing wow :D that smile when he recaps ^^
the way conan says "eastenders" makes him sound like a grandparents. americans dont get it.
He sound like "a grandparents"? Sure...
Martin lmao
