Hololive started with the idea of making one vtuber idol, then they got gamers and variety content vtubers, then they decided to make them all idols, but they stay mostly as free to do whatever they want, but some of them do like singing a lot and they decide to get several songs, some just do karaoke streams, it's all up to them. (they do pay for the production of the songs they release themselves).
Amelia Watson is from Hololive EN Myth, and debuted around the same time as the rest of them, including Mori Calliope, Ninomae Ina'nis, Gawr Gura, and Takanashi Kiara. She is, self admittedly, not much of a singer, but she has improved so much. She's more known for her creativity and behind the scenes work. This isn't just her first song, it actually is a Playable Game! Ame is always pushing boundaries. That Kiara song you reacted to? Do U? All the mocap for the dancing in that song, was actually recorded in Ame's "studio". She set up an entire motion capture setup in what we assume was her living room or something, so that they could record in 3D while Japan was still closed to people coming in. Ame is the glue that keeps Hololive EN together and moving.

She's hard working, creative, kind hearted, frequently hilarious and humble enough to always put her friends before herself even when she's accomplishing something great. Amelia is a really special member of Hololive EN. Like other said, she's part of Myth, the original 5 EN members. She didn't have very strong singing skills (though she's improved tremendously since her debut), but what truly makes her special is her creativity and ability to organize things and events. She has single-handed created a TON of meme's that went viral throughout the VTuber community. When the pandemic shut down all travel to Japan, it also delayed their 3D debut indefinitely, so Amelia commissioned some 3D avatars and a whole custom world be created for her and her genmates in VRChat, and held a special 3D debut there for a Halloween event! Then repeated the feat again, for Christmas the same year with more assets and events (both also featured in-game cinema where they debuted their new group original songs for Halloween and Christmas). She also has always had amazing chemistry with Gura, the AmeSame (Same is Japanese for Shark) "ship" is one of the strongest in the community, probably second only to TakaMori (Kiara & Calli). If you ever feel like going through Gura's or Amelia's archives, there's a ton of amazing and fun collab streams that always have everyone dying from laughter. Those 2 just work so well off each-other. Since I haven't seen it mentioned yet: The dog is her mascot, modeled after her irl dog Bubba (who sometimes makes himself known during stream). He's somewhat of a sidekick - as in, he's often a stand-in for staff or other helpers, or just Ame herself dealing with tech off-screen. Something like "Bubba, fix the camera settings!" while she frantically clicks through menus. There's also a 3D avatar of him that she or others use for background work during VRChat streams. The alligators in trench coats are a representation of her fans - based on a pun: "InvestiGators" The spaceship "Sunfish" made its debut almost a year ago in an animated 3D short Amelia organized as a teaser for Hololive's 3rdFes concert early 2022, where all 5 Myth members debuted their official 3D models. The bench in the desert Ame sits on at 6:42 is an even deeper cut: The pandemic originally made it impossible for the girls to travel to Japan to get their official 3D models set up - or even meet in person - for quite a while after their debut. There are currently three remaining Hololive members who have yet to release a solo original song, all from Hololive Indonesia: Anya Melfissa, Kaela Kovalskia and Vestia Zeta. Every single one of the current 37 Japanese member has at least one original song. And with Ame releasing hers, all 10 current EN members do as well. Do note when we say first song, we are talking first original. Ame did have cover songs released before this. And Anya, Kaela and Zeta all have covers already as well. It’s just originals we’re waiting on. Speaking of waiting though, this song definitely was worth the wait. As others have said, Ame from the start was definitely paces behind her gen mates in the musical department (granted, with genmates like Calli and Gura, that’s bound to happen), but she put in the effort and has improved significantly. Ame is from the first English generation (Myth), debuted in Hololive 2.5 years ago. It took her a long time to release original song, because she had little to no singing experience. Her karaoke streams are beautifully scuffed and more fun than serious/professional. Following her journey to improve her singing skills was a joy. She came so far and finally felt confident enough to release her own song.

Amelia has been around since September of 2020 which is 2.5 years of her being active. She isn't someone that focuses on singing, she has lack of experience but seems to be getting better. Her karaoke streams have a singing with a friend kind of feel. Not at all serious but fun. The Dino is Gura, but the other faces in the video are the other member of myth. (Calli, Ina, Kiara). There are references to past streams and in jokes but the gyst is that they are other Amelias from other timelines. And yes pls watch A million miles away cover by Bae! Amelia is one of the most creative girls especially on the EN side. She’s behind many of the 3D things the EN girls do as she has a 3D studio that they all use. While she’s not a singer, she’s the tech support of everyone and takes part in a lot of events as a cameraman or just hosting the girls in her studio. She’s been around for 2.5 years now and was part of the original group of EN girls, Myth (Calli, Gura, Ina, Kiara, Ame). One of her jokes from debut was about how everyone in Myth was a dangerous mythical creature and she was just a detective, so she completely created the whole time traveller part of her lore. And as a time traveller with the stopwatch that she took from Kronii, there’s a lot of alternate timeline versions of her that we see in this song, Buffson, Bee Ame, Watoto, etc. Also, her dog’s name is Bubba and is a national treasure.

Ah Ame. A lot to be said here, but many of the other comments have already covered when she debuted and the reasons its taken her till now to release an original. Now what you need to know about her is just how vital she's been to Holo Myth and Hololive English in general. It's not an understatement that HoloEN wouldn't have been as successful without her. While she's not the strongest singer, she's INCREDIBLY inventive and creative. She's been instrumental in almost every 3D live stream HoloEN has ever done (the exception being a few of the official Cover produced 3D Lives for Calli, Gura, etc.). She organized the VR chat models and worlds for all of EN (Myth, IRyS and Council) for their low poly 3D debuts, Halloween collabs, etc. She also created a home 3D mocap studio which let Kiara and Gura record their 3D Birthday Live Concerts. She's been behind almost every major project. The other girls sing so much praise for her, for good reason. Even Yagoo (Cover's CEO) has said she's impressive and he was lucky to get her. That should speak volumes. As for all the different kinds of Ame's in the video, yes they are references to her inventiveness. The song is actually accompanied by a rythm game, where you play through this music video while having to do tasks on time, hence the hit/miss thing at the end. Ame while not the most popular of the Myth girls is by far the most creative and does many things behind the scenes that help the rest of EN branch. She comes up with wild ideas and finds ways to make them work. Ingenuity is something she embodies.
This is a huge milestone for Amelia Watson. She's in the same group as Gura, Ina, Kiara, and Calli. Known as Myth. Amelia isn't a great singer when starting out, but for the past 2+ years, she's been practicing and improving. She likes to do archived karoakes sometimes and each time you can hear the improvement. Amelia, aka Ame, is the last member of Myth (the first generation of hololive English) to release a song. Part of this is because when she was hired by hololive, she was absolutely not a singer (the other non-singer was Ina) in fact if anything her early kareoke streams were a testament to her being largely tone deaf (she was also the only member of myth with absolutely zero knowledge of japanese, gura had weeb/anime fan levels of japanese understanding making her slightly more capable then Ame with it). however like ina she worked really hard with vocal coaches and this is her first solo song. she has sung on some myth colab songs before. Ame is largely regarded as the "innovator" of holoEN, she was the one who found a way for myth to have vr colabs when they couldn't get vr/3d colabs going because of covid, she's tried a lot of different streams, always something unique and weird in search of something new. Ame is known for many things, but singing was not one of them... UNTIL NOW! This is such a fun song, can't believe I almost missed out on it. Have you considered reacting to multiple songs in one video, like you do with anime openings? Not entire repertoires of course, but 3-4 songs from one band/vocalist/vtuber per videos could be an interesting way to go about it. Of course, since your work schedule is already pretty damn packed from what you said on stream it might not be possible, but I thought I'd at least throw the idea out there. My recommendation, as always, is Amane Kanata's "The Narrow Way", as well as "Tokusha Seizon Wonder La Der" (honestly no idea how it's supposed to be written in english lol). It wasn't that much time since this got released, but yeah This is her first solo original song from her. She has been around for as long as Cali, Gura, Ina, and Kiara which is the Myth Generation which started back in September 2020. This was around the peak of interest for vtubers and Myth knock it out of the park on the expectations. The way I see this generation is that each one focuses on a thing that helps complete the group and how they help each other out. Cali is the main singer, Gura is a very easy entry point into vtubers, Ina does art and is very relaxing to listen to, Kiara helps bridge back to the JP side as the knows three languages (English is not even her first language) while also being the extra energy to keep the momentum going , and finally Amelia who is the producer and support. Ame has a big outreach and gets a lot of the talented fans to help produce things for them like sets and chibi models for VR chat, MV work, and much more. Even during a lot of the bigger events she helps out with things like camera work for when council did a stream in VR chat. A lot of the bigger projects you can expect Ame to be there helping in some kind of way. She even built a 3D studio so 3D projects were possible like Kiara's DO U. Ame debuted with Calliope, she's taken the longest to release an original song. Most of Hololive has gotten a song out within a few months, Ame took a few years, but it was worth it.
Ame is a certified Hololive EN creativity engine, ultimate support, innovator & memelord. From iconic small versions of their avatars which even some JP talents adopted, to whole 3D concerts and streams with custom models and production outside of official Hololive office. She is one of the main drivers of Hololive EN success despite their obvious limitations compared to JP especially during pandemic when they couldn't fly to Japan and get their 3D she just made it all herself with help of the community, which is also pretty new, as Holo talents hadn't such close connections with independent creators before. 3:24 "Was that Gura inside that dinosaur costume?" Yes, the dino Gura is a reference back to a collaborative song all five members of HoloMyth sang for Halloween 2021, Myth or Treat. Each member got an alternate costume for their "smol" avatars, and Gura's Halloween costume was a dinosaur. The costumed versions were used for the music video that went along with Myth or Treat, and were also shown off in the VR Chat collaboration they did to celebrate the day together.
The dog in the video with Ame is Bubba, her channel mascot and her actual dog irl that can be heard barking in the background of her streams sometimes.
The Dino Gura is a model made based on the "Smol Myth" for Halloween, the Smol models were made so the girls could do stream on 3D models since Japan was locked at the time and they couldn't get their 3D models so Ame ordered the models done based on Smol Ame a fan art made based on one of her stories about eating sand as a kid. Amelia is considered the leader of myth and the heart of it, this girl set up a 3D studio on her home so Kiara could do her first 3D concer, being that time also the first one that the girls meet IRL.
Yup it was Goobs in her dino suit, its a thing. The dog is Bubba her IRL dog, you can sometimes hear Bubba chime in on her streams. You saw the other girls in the background as well as Goobs. Give whatever whatever whatever by Ina and Kiara, its a somber song but done very upbeat, its awesome. Ame does a lot of work in the background and not a natural singer like some of the other girls so her emphasis is not on singing but bringing content, she is awesome.

I would love to see you react to holomyth "Journey like a thousand years"! It's an original song from holomyth (amelia calli kiara ina gura), calli wrote the lyrics, ina did the illustrations, and they all sang it. Its a song about how they want to meet in person one day (they have since this came out!). They were the first english branch of hololive and most of them live outside japan so they couldnt get together to record anything in person since the pandemic was going on. Its an extremely meaningful song when youve followed them since the beginning and seen their journey also have to check out "myth or treat", another holomyth original for haloween. calli said "i just downed a bottle of vodka and wrote those lyrics in a single night". One reason it might have taken awhile for Amelia to get a original song was because she wasn't a very good singer at first but as time went on she got much better. She was also from Hololive English 1st general with Gura,Kiara,Ina and Cali. Also in the song in the background was each one of Holomyth.

The one you see sitting in the chair batting away at Ame's tennis ball has it's own VRChat model and is sometimes seen running around in the background of their VRChat collabs acting as a stagehand/cameradog.

Amelia Watson or Ame as she typically goes by is kind of the defacto IT guy for Hololive Myth. The photos are parallel world versions of Ame, sort of like the Myth Bad End video you watched when Ame went through all of those spaces before getting to the projector at the end those were all alternative Ames with Smol Ame (the tiny round looking one or "chibi") being the most well known and popular. Smol Ame is also very much an evil psychopath character.
While all Hololive members are ”supposed to be” idols in theory, their main job is to be entertaining streamers first, and singers second. Ame wasn’t really chosen for her singing skills (which she got better at with time spent in Hololive), but rather for her entertainment/organisational/technical skills. Ame is one of the most creative members of hololive. For example, while the Japanese holomems can do 3D livestreams from the local Hololive studio with their specialized equipment, the EN branch can’t do the same, on account of them being spread throughout various parts of the world. Thus, Amelia organized and tinkered with everything it would take to do 3D streams using VR chat instead, which paved the way for some really iconic collab streams.

For your more general question of "are they all supposed to release song?" i think most if not all member do have some type of song however i do not believe it is required Hololive is complicated but you have your generations which are basically just streamers in general content can be singing, to playing games, to asmr to w/e their creative minds can come up with. there are some sub groups within hololive like "gamers" and then there are "singers" to simplify for hololive EN you have gen 1 gen 2 and then irys who isnt part of either gen she is a singer and debuted alone. tldr: no they don't have to release song, but most do.

Hololive started with the idea of making one vtuber idol, then they got gamers and variety content vtubers, then they decided to make them all idols, but they stay mostly as free to do whatever they want, but some of them do like singing a lot and they decide to get several songs, some just do karaoke streams, it's all up to them. Amelia is a really special member of Hololive EN. Like other said, she's part of Myth, the original 5 EN members. She didn't have very strong singing skills (though she's improved tremendously since her debut), but what truly makes her special is her creativity and ability to organize things and events.
She has single-handed created a TON of meme's that went viral throughout the VTuber community. When the pandemic shut down all travel to Japan, it also delayed their 3D debut indefinitely, so Amelia commissioned some 3D avatars and a whole custom world be created for her and her genmates in VRChat, and held a special 3D debut there for a Halloween event! Then repeated the feat again, for Christmas the same year with more assets and events (both also featured in-game cinema where they debuted their new group original songs for Halloween and Christmas).
She also has always had amazing chemistry with Gura, the AmeSame (Same is Japanese for Shark) "ship" is one of the strongest in the community, probably second only to TakaMori (Kiara & Calli). If you ever feel like going through Gura's or Amelia's archives, there's a ton of amazing and fun collab streams that always have everyone dying from laughter. Those 2 just work so well off each-other.

The pandemic originally made it impossible for the girls to travel to Japan to get their official 3D models set up - or even meet in person - for quite a while after their debut. So Amelia organized a VRChat world for them, including matching "Smol" 3D models of each of them, based on the style of a famous fan artist (as seen in the music video here and there). It was first used for their one-year anniversary celebration and marked the first time the 5 girls got to interact in 3D. (And as with most of Amelia's projects, it set a trend in the larger VTuber community.)
This VR world features themed rooms for each of the members, except Ame herself - her "room" is instead said desert. The only prominent feature it has is that lonely bus stop - including a version of Ame sitting in that exact spot, "frozen in time". Apparently now we know who that Ame was...
There are currently three remaining Hololive members who have yet to release a solo original song, all from Hololive Indonesia: Anya Melfissa, Kaela Kovalskia and Vestia Zeta. Every single one of the current 37 Japanese member has at least one original song. And with Ame releasing hers, all 10 current EN members do as well.
Do note when we say first song, we are talking first original. Ame did have cover songs released before this. And Anya, Kaela and Zeta all have covers already as well. It’s just originals we’re waiting on.
Speaking of waiting though, this song definitely was worth the wait. As others have said, Ame from the start was definitely paces behind her gen mates in the musical department (granted, with genmates like Calli and Gura, that’s bound to happen), but she put in the effort and has improved significantly.

she is maybe the most innovative, creative, and experimentally Vtubers probably in all hololive. if the others are idols she is a producer, on top of that she is surrounded by more memes, lore, background and mythological then you can shake a stick at. the last member like her was Kiryu Coco who graduated and some say passed the torch of shit poster to Watson, less a idol more a creative force.
Ame is from the first English generation (Myth), debuted in Hololive 2.5 years ago. It took her a long time to release original song, because she had little to no singing experience. Her karaoke streams are beautifully scuffed and more fun than serious/professional. Following her journey to improve her singing skills was a joy. She came so far and finally felt confident enough to release her own song.
Amelia's strength as a content creator is thinking outside the box and executing things. For instance, the myth girls wouldn't have 3D models for some time since the company typically gets them and they take a long time, so she went and commissioned various models to use in VR chat instead. She likes to incorporate games into her content and this song being a playable game is one of them. She might not be a singer but she's talented in her own way.

Amelia has been around since September of 2020 which is 2.5 years of her being active. She isn't someone that focuses on singing, she has lack of experience but seems to be getting better. Her karaoke streams have a singing with a friend kind of feel. Not at all serious but fun.

Amelia is one of the most creative girls especially on the EN side. She’s behind many of the 3D things the EN girls do as she has a 3D studio that they all use. While she’s not a singer, she’s the tech support of everyone and takes part in a lot of events as a cameraman or just hosting the girls in her studio. She’s been around for 2.5 years now and was part of the original group of EN girls, Myth (Calli, Gura, Ina, Kiara, Ame). One of her jokes from debut was about how everyone in Myth was a dangerous mythical creature and she was just a detective, so she completely created the whole time traveller part of her lore. And as a time traveller with the stopwatch that she took from Kronii, there’s a lot of alternate timeline versions of her that we see in this song, Buffson, Bee Ame, Watoto, etc. Also, her dog’s name is Bubba and is a national treasure.

Ah Ame. A lot to be said here, but many of the other comments have already covered when she debuted and the reasons its taken her till now to release an original.
Now what you need to know about her is just how vital she's been to Holo Myth and Hololive English in general. It's not an understatement that HoloEN wouldn't have been as successful without her. While she's not the strongest singer, she's INCREDIBLY inventive and creative. She's been instrumental in almost every 3D live stream HoloEN has ever done (the exception being a few of the official Cover produced 3D Lives for Calli, Gura, etc.). She organized the VR chat models and worlds for all of EN (Myth, IRyS and Council) for their low poly 3D debuts, Halloween collabs, etc. She also created a home 3D mocap studio which let Kiara and Gura record their 3D Birthday Live Concerts. She's been behind almost every major project. The other girls sing so much praise for her, for good reason.
Even Yagoo (Cover's CEO) has said she's impressive and he was lucky to get her. That should speak volumes.
As for all the different kinds of Ame's in the video, yes they are references to her inventiveness. She's created her own "Ameverse" of Amelia's from different timelines, the most notable is "Smol Ame" who is basically a little destructive force of nature who loves to troll "normal Ame" and her chat. You should check out the clips of Smol Ame as a mascot at the Hololive Expo last March. It was hilarious.

Boy I got some news for you, because the MV for this is actually gameplay footage. The song is actually accompanied by a rythm game, where you play through this music video while having to do tasks on time, hence the hit/miss thing at the end.

Ame is just creative, and starts a lot of trends, but is always SOOOOO busy. She does a lot behind the scenes, and we love her for it
The hits and misses scoreboard is a reference to rhythm games, hits being correctly hitting the note/button and misses being when you fail to. The whole music video is Ame in a rhythm game.
Ame while not the most popular of the Myth girls is by far the most creative and does many things behind the scenes that help the rest of EN branch. She comes up with wild ideas and finds ways to make them work. Ingenuity is something she embodies.

The dog is how she represents her dog Bubba (he likes to speak up during streams at times). The alligators are called Investigators (cause she is a detective and loves animals) and is her fan name. Each member has a different name for their fans (Calli's are the Deadbeats)
Amelia, aka Ame, is the last member of Myth (the first generation of hololive English) to release a song. Part of this is because when she was hired by hololive, she was absolutely not a singer (the other non-singer was Ina) in fact if anything her early kareoke streams were a testament to her being largely tone deaf (she was also the only member of myth with absolutely zero knowledge of japanese, gura had weeb/anime fan levels of japanese understanding making her slightly more capable then Ame with it). however like ina she worked really hard with vocal coaches and this is her first solo song. she has sung on some myth colab songs before.
Ame is largely regarded as the "innovator" of holoEN, she was the one who found a way for myth to have vr colabs when they couldn't get vr/3d colabs going because of covid, she's tried a lot of different streams, always something unique and weird in search of something new. Ame is known for many things, but singing was not one of them... UNTIL NOW! This is such a fun song, can't believe I almost missed out on it.
Have you considered reacting to multiple songs in one video, like you do with anime openings? Not entire repertoires of course, but 3-4 songs from one band/vocalist/vtuber per videos could be an interesting way to go about it. Of course, since your work schedule is already pretty damn packed from what you said on stream it might not be possible, but I thought I'd at least throw the idea out there.
My recommendation, as always, is Amane Kanata's "The Narrow Way", as well as "Tokusha Seizon Wonder La Der" (honestly no idea how it's supposed to be written in english lol). The first is a showcase of how fucking badass she can be, while the second is a high-energy original song that perfectly captures her character. Looking forward to your next video!
It wasn't that much time since this got released, but yeah This is her first solo original song from her. She has been around for as long as Cali, Gura, Ina, and Kiara which is the Myth Generation which started back in September 2020. This was around the peak of interest for vtubers and Myth knock it out of the park on the expectations.
The way I see this generation is that each one focuses on a thing that helps complete the group and how they help each other out. Cali is the main singer, Gura is a very easy entry point into vtubers, Ina does art and is very relaxing to listen to, Kiara helps bridge back to the JP side as the knows three languages (English is not even her first language) while also being the extra energy to keep the momentum going , and finally Amelia who is the producer and support.
Ame has a big outreach and gets a lot of the talented fans to help produce things for them like sets and chibi models for VR chat, MV work, and much more. Even during a lot of the bigger events she helps out with things like camera work for when council did a stream in VR chat. A lot of the bigger projects you can expect Ame to be there helping in some kind of way. She even built a 3D studio so 3D projects were possible like Kiara's DO U.

Ame debuted with Calliope, she's taken the longest to release an original song. Most of Hololive has gotten a song out within a few months, Ame took a few years, but it was worth it.
Ame is a certified Hololive EN creativity engine, ultimate support, innovator & memelord. From iconic small versions of their avatars which even some JP talents adopted, to whole 3D concerts and streams with custom models and production outside of official Hololive office. She is one of the main drivers of Hololive EN success despite their obvious limitations compared to JP especially during pandemic when they couldn't fly to Japan and get their 3D she just made it all herself with help of the community, which is also pretty new, as Holo talents hadn't such close connections with independent creators before.

The dino Gura is a reference of her model in the first HoloweEn stream, they all got halloween costumes in 3D, a long time before their official 3D models were made public. During that stream they premiered 'Myth Or Treat' their song for halloween. Watson had a pumpkin dress, Gura was in a dino outfit, Kiara's a vampire, Calli is a bloody nurse and Ina's a mad cientist

Yes, the dino Gura is a reference back to a collaborative song all five members of HoloMyth sang for Halloween 2021, Myth or Treat. Each member got an alternate costume for their "smol" avatars, and Gura's Halloween costume was a dinosaur. The costumed versions were used for the music video that went along with Myth or Treat, and were also shown off in the VR Chat collaboration they did to celebrate the day together.
The dog in the video with Ame is Bubba, her channel mascot and her actual dog irl that can be heard barking in the background of her streams sometimes.

The Dino Gura is a model made based on the "Smol Myth" for Halloween, the Smol models were made so the girls could do stream on 3D models since Japan was locked at the time and they couldn't get their 3D models so Ame ordered the models done based on Smol Ame a fan art made based on one of her stories about eating sand as a kid.
Amelia is considered the leader of myth and the heart of it, this girl set up a 3D studio on her home so Kiara could do her first 3D concer, being that time also the first one that the girls meet IRL.
Yup it was Goobs in her dino suit, its a thing. The dog is Bubba her IRL dog, you can sometimes hear Bubba chime in on her streams. You saw the other girls in the background as well as Goobs. Give whatever whatever whatever by Ina and Kiara, its a somber song but done very upbeat, its awesome. Ame does a lot of work in the background and not a natural singer like some of the other girls so her emphasis is not on singing but bringing content, she is awesome.

I would love to see you react to holomyth "Journey like a thousand years"! It's an original song from holomyth (amelia calli kiara ina gura), calli wrote the lyrics, ina did the illustrations, and they all sang it. Its a song about how they want to meet in person one day (they have since this came out!). They were the first english branch of hololive and most of them live outside japan so they couldnt get together to record anything in person since the pandemic was going on. Amelia IRL has a dog and you'll occasionally hear him in the background doing dog things. Like Amelia, there are various versions of Bubba running around. When you see the cheering Investi-gators, one of them on the right is sitting on top of the regular 'ol dog Bubba.
The one you see sitting in the chair batting away at Ame's tennis ball has it's own VRChat model and is sometimes seen running around in the background of their VRChat collabs acting as a stagehand/cameradog.

Amelia Watson or Ame as she typically goes by is kind of the defacto IT guy for Hololive Myth. The photos are parallel world versions of Ame, sort of like the Myth Bad End video you watched when Ame went through all of those spaces before getting to the projector at the end those were all alternative Ames with Smol Ame (the tiny round looking one or "chibi") being the most well known and popular. Smol Ame is also very much an evil psychopath character.
While all Hololive members are ”supposed to be” idols in theory, their main job is to be entertaining streamers first, and singers second.
Ame wasn’t really chosen for her singing skills (which she got better at with time spent in Hololive), but rather for her entertainment/organisational/technical skills.
Ame is one of the most creative members of hololive.
For example, while the Japanese holomems can do 3D livestreams from the local Hololive studio with their specialized equipment, the EN branch can’t do the same, on account of them being spread throughout various parts of the world.
Thus, Amelia organized and tinkered with everything it would take to do 3D streams using VR chat instead, which paved the way for some really iconic collab streams.

For your more general question of "are they all supposed to release song?" i think most if not all member do have some type of song however i do not believe it is required Hololive is complicated but you have your generations which are basically just streamers in general content can be singing, to playing games, to asmr to w/e their creative minds can come up with. there are some sub groups within hololive like "gamers" and then there are "singers" to simplify for hololive EN you have gen 1 gen 2 and then irys who isnt part of either gen she is a singer and debuted alone.
tldr: no they don't have to release song, but most do.
I like Ame’s singing, even when scuffed. She has a certain vocal range that lends itself well to certain songs, including this one. She’s not going to pull off anything like the Holomem heavy hitters, but that’s okay.
