Perfect. I was about 14 years old when 1st time listening to this in 1984 and liked to play the solo of my own cover version 😅. This Solo cover is perfect.
Thank you very much for your comment! I've been listening to this song since it was released too! This great song has been with many of us for several years now, and it will continue to do so, it transcends time! 🎸
Great job Flavio, nicely done. I think that this songs solo is truly under-rated. Blackmore simply plays a nice little solo, with some quick moves, enhancing the simplicity of the rest of the song. When I listen to Ritchie, I don't have to hear the big solo's that only he can deliver - it's just wonderful to hear you cover a song like this, no glam, no glitter, just a nice song, so...thanks. Mike
Thank you very much Mike! I really like the guitar solo that Ritchie created for this song, because it's exactly what the song needs, it's just right. Blackmore is a guitar player that I really like because he usually does what the song needs.
Thanks! It's like you say, it's the closest I could get since I don't have the same instruments, amps or effects that Blackmore uses. I looked for a sound that has that same atmosphere.
The most important care when mixing is that the guitar is not much louder than the original song, just a little louder. It is also not good to use a lot of distortion in this style of music.
This was really helpful, I was having trouble voicing this. I'm good with most of this but even though I have big hands I always have a time with the chord shape like that D early in the verse. Thanks!!!
Flavio, that was excellent man, perfect tone, perfect phrasing, not a single flaw my ear could ascertain. Well done and keep it up, warm regards all the way from India.
Thank you very much Roby! I'm glad you like the video! Ritchie has a lot of really good creations, and it's a pleasure to be able to play his music! Next month I'll upload the next one! Greetings from Argentina!
Thank you very much Jean Pierre! Sorry but I don't have Tabs, since I learned this song with my ear. Anyway, the guitar is recorded up close and frontal and if you slow down the video, you can clearly see every detail. Greetings!
Nice cover. You got it down. I remember this song so well from 80's radio and MTV. It was never my favorite Rainbow tune by far, but Richie is always great even when he's not trying too hard. I always thought he was coping a lot from Alex Lifeson in this song with all the arpeggiated lines, but hey, if you're going to copy someone you could do a lot worse than Alex, right. Anyway the solo is all Richie...melodic and a little sad. But that's what he does better than the rest.
Thanks for your comment! Yes, the solo is very typical of Ritchie and the effect of the Octaver gives more depth to the feeling of sadness. Beyond the different musical stages of Rainbow, Blackmore always did very good things.
That would already be something like a tutorial. I'm sorry, I don't do tutorials. But I'll take your suggestion into account, maybe later I will! Thanks for the idea!
I also think the guitar sounds very clear and can be distinguished well. Also the guitar is filmed very close and from the front, and you can see every single note well.

Amazing playing. Hats off to you. The sound is also very near to the original.
Thanks! It's like you say, it's the closest I could get since I don't have the same instruments, amps or effects that Blackmore uses. I looked for a sound that has that same atmosphere.
And I also feel this is the correct volume and pressure that he's playing it at. It gets so buried in the mix. Really cool guitar cover

Great!
Thank you very much Joe Durham!
Beautiful job!
Thank you very much Peter! "Street of Dreams" is a great song!.
The guitar sound is very good!
Yes, I tried to make it clear so that all the details can be heard, especially in the arpeggiated ones.
Excelente Flavio! Saludos!

Hi! I'm glad the video was helpful to you. It's a very nice song and it's very pleasant to be able to play it. Thank you very much for your comment!!!
In an interview, Ritchie Blackmore said he considers this the "definitive" Rainbow song..
Yes, that's right! Blackmore said his favorite Rainbow song is "Street of Dreams" and his favorite Deep Purple song is "Perfect Strangers".
