minor correction. The canal system is not from the British times but the Bhakra Nangal irrigation project and the Indira Gandhi Canal by the Government of India after 1947. The entire irrigation system has been revamped during the Green Revolution of 1970s. A lot of work has been done on irrigation projects in Punjab

True.... I'm glad someone has written on this. In Pakistan's Punjab and other states too, very little work has been done on infrastructure development after the British regime ended. So they can't imagine much ahead than British. I've seen many videos of Pak side, even the railways' infrastructure is still British time, i.e., the manual signals, guard cabins, small platforms, old waiting rooms, etc. I even saw years of 1936, 1939, 1942 embossed on many of guards cabins... I don't understand why .... may be because these were public utility properties. Sad.

I think Karthik has to be given more camera time and see his reactions 😂. He is just like my Tamil friends who get confused when we North Indians do stupid things and we have to explain everything to them afterwards. Also Villages of Punjab are mesmerizing. Allow me to rephrase your question and ALSO answer it.
It wasn't " we" who got separated, it was YOU who separated.
As for why? Short answer, a handful of Muslim elite, the zamindars & jaghirdars wanted to grab the land and wealth of the Hindu and Sikh minority in Punjab/ sindh and Bengal. They got what they wanted, the bengalis of East Bengal got disgusted with the loot and separated and they are doing rather well now. But those looters are still looting you.

Whenever I feel sad about the politics of India and Pakistan, I read the comments from Abrar's India series and instantly my sorrows turn into happiness... What difference a bit of love can bring... What an incredible series it has been and I can only imagine the experiences Abrar had in this journey across India... I am sure it will be in his memories for a long time...
It takes a certain amount of courage to come to India from across the border which was evident in the initial episode where Abrar said he wants to have a positive experience and would be careful about the drone footage and how he urged his audience to keep the politics aside... Little did he knew the positive influence his videos will have on people from both sides of the border... You have done a truly remarkable job.
Lots of love and respect for his courage, effort and openness to absorb the culture. He is a true traveler and a wonderful person. His mannerisms are captivating...

    Kerala k jungle aor nature
    Mumbai ki ronaqein aor roshnian
Rajhastan k forts, lakes aor rangeely libaas
Agra aor Delhi ka shandaar architecture
Punjab k khait khalyaan aor greenry

I from Karachi, Pakistan, no doubt Indian economic and living standard in every sector is boosted up i think due to delivery of good education and better strict political process ,especially when i joined abrar vlog and for the time being he visited Indian cities, which are neat a clean, i am very impress, however, sorry to say we are Pakistani facing catastrophe in every sector, majority of people in my country are good, but due to long political, financial unsuitability facing problems since long, May Allah protect from harms.

Punjab, Haryana, West UP have villages that are very rich. Here people earn more than cities. That is why you can see they all wear nice clothes, have big beautiful houses and clean roads. Unlike in other states, where farmers are starving and poor, where farmers try to sell their land, Punjabi, Haryanvi and West UP villagers have their own land which is family owned.
All thanks to Green Revolution of 1960s. This was Gandhiji's vision, where villages are transformed to cities but are rather changed to independant self-sufficient communities❤

Abrar bhai is blessed and privileged to be exploring our entire country without any security issues and hiccups specially being a pakistani... look at the amount of hospitality and respect being showered by our people to him. It goes to reflect our culture "Athithi devo bhava" I never saw any hostility for him. It tells we are always for peace and brotherhood if reciprocated specially considering our relations with Pakistan. I am glad he always felt at home. That is India for you. I wish Abrar bhai all the very best for his future tours and trips. Though he has visited uncountable countries but I am sure this will be his best lifelong trip.
