The festival you witnessed in Agra was "Jhulelal Jayanti", birthday of Jhulelal Ji, celebrated by Hindu Sindhis in India and Pakistan as well, A sindhi song was also playing in the background. Agra has a lot of Sindhi and Saraiki Hindus who migrated from Pakistan in 1947.

The celebrations were for the Sindhis mostly in the Sindhi language It is called Jhulelal Jayanti. People of Sindhi origin celebrate it. And mind you UP doesnt have that many Sindhis, imagine what must be the celebration level in Mumbai, Ulhasnagar or such Sindhi majority towns and cities. We have kept Sindhi ciltre and language alive

Today's video takes me back to 2013 when I visited Taj Mahal. I will never forget the moment when I entered into that high door and saw Taj Mahal for the first time. As Abrar mentioned, Taj is so grand and so awestrucking that you can only feel when you see it. No video or picture can capture its unique meaning. As a Pakistani, I know it is very hard to visit India but I will try my best to visit Taj again, and this time with my lovely wife. Love you all Indian brothers and sisters. May God bless South Asia. Horn usage is indeed terrible in India. Once someone has lived abroad, where honking is a sign of disapproval and anger, it feels like there is a cacophonic quarrel going on in India. People crossing the roads however don't care about horn anyway.
Best part about Taj is it glows golden in evening (when you visited) and shines white in morning/day and glows silver under moonlight. Its a truly magical building. Maybe in future you may explore UP in detail instead of touch n go.

Abrar - Happy to see you saw Taj Mahal. It is true that the first sight of Taj Mahal is amazing. The sheer scale of the white marble mausoleum overwhelms you once you see it for the first time and no matter how many pictures or videos you see - you cannot describe how the first sight hits your soul (ek roohani ehsas). Also the gardens are amazing. Taj Mahal sometimes is open during full moon nights till late night . I remember going to Taj Mahal with my family on such nights ( not sure if that was only for locals). There is no need for lights as the entire area glows with moonlight-especially Taj. One such vivid memories is my family sitting on the verandah of Taj next to Yamuna on a full moon night and a boatman was rowing and singing. I think that is definitely my fav Taj memory. I hope you get time to go to Agra fort and Fatehpur Sikri. Both need atleast a day each there is just so much to see. In Agra fort there is a room where Shahjahan used to live from where he used to see the Taj . Ofcourse in Fatehpur Sikri - I hope you have a chance to tie a thread on Salim Chisti's mazaar. Agra is simply beautiful.
Taj Mahal is infact a hindu temple built by Raja Parmardi Dev in the 4th century dedicated to Lord Shiva. Many scientific evidences have been collected to support this claim. Probably what remains is digging it up under the mazhars of shahjahan and mumtaz to show they lie burried on top of temple remains.

Tak Mahal ke elawa Agra fort, Etmad -Ud- Daula, cheeni ka roza , Fatehpur seekri, Sikandra ( Akbar’s Tomb), Mariam’s Tomb bhi hai dekhne layak , jitna khoobsoorat Taj Mahal hai utna hi khoobsoorat Etmad- Ud - Daula bhi hai . Next time if you come please visit these places too . Taj Mahal pe ek jagah hai shilp gram waha pe foreigners ki vehicles park hoti hain . Next time when you visit please park it there and then you can take a golf cart or a battery bus which will take you to the Taj Mahal

As Abrar mentioned, Taj is so grand and so awestrucking that you can only feel when you see it. No video or picture can capture its unique meaning. Horn usage is indeed terrible in India. Once someone has lived abroad, where honking is a sign of disapproval and anger, it feels like there is a cacophonic quarrel going on in India. People crossing the roads however don't care about horn anyway.

Best part about Taj is it glows golden in evening (when you visited) and shines white in morning/day and glows silver under moonlight. Its a truly magical building. Maybe in future you may explore UP in detail instead of touch n go.

Abrar - Happy to see you saw Taj Mahal. It is true that the first sight of Taj Mahal is amazing. The sheer scale of the white marble mausoleum overwhelms you once you see it for the first time and no matter how many pictures or videos you see - you cannot describe how the first sight hits your soul (ek roohani ehsas). Also the gardens are amazing. Taj Mahal sometimes is open during full moon nights till late night . I remember going to Taj Mahal with my family on such nights ( not sure if that was only for locals). There is no need for lights as the entire area glows with moonlight-especially Taj. One such vivid memories is my family sitting on the verandah of Taj next to Yamuna on a full moon night and a boatman was rowing and singing. I think that is definitely my fav Taj memory. I hope you get time to go to Agra fort and Fatehpur Sikri. Both need atleast a day each there is just so much to see. In Agra fort there is a room where Shahjahan used to live from where he used to see the Taj . Ofcourse in Fatehpur Sikri - I hope you have a chance to tie a thread on Salim Chisti's mazaar. Agra is simply beautiful.
Taj Mahal is infact a hindu temple built by Raja Parmardi Dev in the 4th century dedicated to Lord Shiva. Many scientific evidences have been collected to support this claim. Probably what remains is digging it up under the mazhars of shahjahan and mumtaz to show they lie burried on top of temple remains.
