The old timey section was brilliant... but I really wanted to see more sanding because... well... it's torture and we are woodworkers which means we love torture (or possibly not). Nicely done sir!
Cute dogs. Nice blanket ladder. The only time it will be used is when you pick the blankets up from the couch, and hang them there yourself. I also lived with 3 females until two were grown and moved, so yeah... I know how it is.
this one feels like a bonus video bud. And a really pleasant build to watch. Though i suspect that it is one of those, way more work that you think, type of builds. Luckily it will still look nice when there are no blankets on it. You know, always.
I too live with 3 females and the blanket war is REAL!!! Even with the storage ottoman we specifically bought with our sectional, my living room is a Turkish bazaar also! I mean, I do have my NY Jets fleece coozy thingy but I “always” put mine away… yup, yup, I definitely do…. 🤔
fantastic vision and execution yet again! I also had this problem and resorted to a blanket ladder project of my own last xmas. I was going through a "burnt-ish" wood was the coolest thing to me phase, as that tends to obscure lots of small imperfections that can stand out more on finished wood alone (no stain). Also, what is your thoughts, feelings, opinions etc on Shellac?
I like the ladder, but the sandpaper is gonna wreck your hardwoods over time. Just take one of those thin rubber mousepads and glue a couple of cutouts to the bottom. Won't skid and won't wreck your floors.
@@InsatiableMonkey that’s a great idea. Sometimes you have to cut corners to get a video out by Friday, but would have much more preferred actual anti-skid material.
Bad ass blanket ladder bro ! Skål 🫡
Thanks dude. Maybe something that could be simplified for mass market sale. There’s a video idea for your channel
I love getting done with the work week, coming home, and seeing you've dropped a new video. This one was great!
Thank you my dude, already working on next Friday for ya
Well done & gotta love the dogs at the end of the video! 👍👍🐶🐶
@@sapelesteve that’s crazy that the emoji is damn-near identical to my two pups
Great job Uncle John
I’m doing wood working in my engineering class I will show you when I’m done with what I had to do.
@@RylanRI that’s awesome buddy, looking forward to seeing it!
Awesome project, I wish you luck with getting them to use it! 🤣
That’s a tough road to hoe

Next video idea: 60 minute unbroken sanding marathon haha

Why are they always so cold?!?!??

Great design!! I made one a couple years ago and it never seems to have blankets on it lol. But still looks nice lol. Peace
@@vincentcozza99 this will likely turn out the same hahah
In the voice of Buzz Lightyear: "Blankets. Blankets everywhere..."
That wasn’t building. That was assembling with style.
@@Stillworks That came out great dude
@@TheNewJankyWorkshop thank you friend
@@Stillworks Also, what the h-e-double hockey sticks are you doing up so early. Go back to bed. It's Saturday.

I don’t really like the subtle yellowing, I use it almost exclusively to prevent black dyed epoxy from staining unfinished wood
