A special thanks to all the RUclips viewers in the many countries. In 1989, I traded a LOT of Legos to a friend for this CD because he bought it at our Dr. Who fanclub in Delmar Delaware for $20. I played it over and over again, even though it was sun-bleached. My greatest fear was that the CD would no longer play and the songs would be lost forever, so I uploaded it to RUclips. When it said 'share?', I thought 'why not?' It lives on through digital and couldn't be more grateful. Blessing to all who feel as strongly about the tunes as I, and may such a great work of entertainment live on.
A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away, being around 1987 and England, a composer embraced synthetic music arrangement in it's full artificiality rather than seeking the imitation of crafted instruments, then applied such towards what was best described as a 'cult-classic' science fiction show at the time. Now a worldwide phenomenon, Doctor Who is uttered by just about all who claim any knowledge of Sci-Fi. To us it may sound dated, but it its time, was revolutionary.
If there is such a thing as a Dctor Who RpgMaker theme this is a Doctor Who RpgMaker theme. It sounds exactly like those in default RpgMaker platform, it would fit in so well.
Well, I mean. It isn’t entirely an original idea for the structure of this theme. There’s a video game with a theme that came before this with the same bassline beat. He’s mainly messed about with octaves, chords and melody structure.
have you heard orbitals theme version that Matt Smith played at Orbitals concert Glastonbury 2010? heres the link ruclips.net/video/8YxtPmUaFRI/видео.html&ab_channel=BBCMusic and there was this from Glastonbury in 2004 obviously to promote the return the following year ruclips.net/video/5pdawOyWhxk/видео.html&ab_channel=bandulu
Certainly welcome. With the disk being sun bleached and not being able to find it anywhere else, I didn't want it to be lost in time. Glad to hear others enjoy it as much as I do.
This theme version captures the feel and time period of the THAT stae of the show PERFECTLY, just imagine if one year after the show was cancelled they came back with a new season and intro using this theme and just has this part of the theme is playing at 1:37 we see not only the Doctor's face appear smiling then winking for the camera but Ace's right after. Thus marking the first time ever a companion in the show gets a "face-time" in the credits long before 2005. =D
The Restoration of Dr Who Sadly no...but i'm saying if Classic Who was permitted to run just a few more years, it just might! That and we could've seen a better regeneration from 7th into 8th doctor with more closure. Tell then all we have to fill the gaps are the audio plays. Though they'll probably never be finished with them :/
My dad and I had a friend who was a huge Doctor Who fan and had this very soundtrack! Of all the variations, this was my favorite. Thank you so much for uploading this!
I used this theme for my Perda de Tempo series (Waste of Time in english) for the SGTV Studios channel. We started it back in 2018 when Chibnall started and we're still going now, regenerating the intro but most likely keeping this lovely theme!
I just saw my vinyl copy at my parents house. haven't pwned a working record player in 25 years. if only there was some way to get go back in time and get one.....
In the year 198X, a remix of the Doctor Who theme was created. Mark Ayres created the remix to counter the evil desires of Michael Grade. But, following his defeat, Michael Grade commissioned Murray Gold to make eight of his own remixes to counter Mark Ayres. ...thank you.

This is the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. I've been obsessed with this theme for months now. Mark Ayres is a GOD!!!

Great variation, love the melody! very bouncy...
Now you do something bouncy
This theme of Doctor Who is absolutely fantastic.
Every single music note gives this a beat-up.
Thanks for uploading this sir.

The Rabbid wait that happened?

I was there & have very fond memories of this theme. A wonderful event.
I play this song when I'm riding my Alpaca around the mountain trails in Peru.
Why isn't this album available on Amazon Music Unlimited ?
This, no joke, sounds a lot like Darude - Sandstorm.
I can hear it too..
same
You're not alone on that!
I don't think you are joking
This sound like a song I heard from GTA 4: The Ballad of Gay Tony.
You deserve a like my friend... imagine if this was orchestra... something in stile of pirates music
I would REALLY like to hear an orchestra version! If only I had the equipment... then I'd need some skill too. Thanks for watching and commenting ^_^

Crazy that you still reply to comments after all this time 😂.
@@JSedits589 The nursing home allows me to check RUclips once a day before prune pudding. After that, I've got to go. 😄

This is what happens if the doctor landed the tardis in the middle of classic street fighter
First time I heard this was around 1995, it was part of a computer graphics demonstration with various sci-fi and "cyber" video clips
I could totally see that, I remember there were a number of Amiga demos with impressive sights and sounds.
Damn, would love to see the original video for that. Sounds super retro.
Potential theme for Ace on her Time bike?
A nice variation on the Doctor Who theme, without being an exact clone.
yeeeeeahhhhhhhhh!
This has a somewhat tranquil and yet upbeat oriental rhythm to it.

C'est drôle, je retrouve là dedans un peu des BGM des Mystérieuses Cités d'Or ^^ si, si ! ;)
does anyone know where the other 2 tracks in this album are?
I did finally upload the complete CD. I was surprised to see there was interested in the rest.
