Some of us are in so much pain, we're sorry our heart is beating. Heaven is supposed to be better than here. But yeah, it takes SUPERNATURAL gratitude.
I always try to remember or say God willing. My mom was very good about saying this to us in English and in Spanish- “si Dios quierre”. And I am grateful to my mom for what she taught me! I always end my texts to my children each night with be grateful be kind be good be safe. ♥️♥️ I am grateful for Ascension videos! God bless!
I love the practice of giving thanks before bed time. All of a sudden as I do it there are so many things that I remember and I am so blessed. Thanks for a great reminder.
Just what I needed this morning. I was in a car accident this past weekend. Grateful that no one was hurt, that I have insurance and now it is just an annoyance and not a disaster even though my nature is to make it that way,

Expressing gratitude is a blessing in its itself. To pray at Mass, especially now at Covid-19, with those around you has always been a yearning of mine, being away from people so long. I like the REAL faithful people. There are so many who have it way worse than us. Something about people who get hit, get knocked down, but that just makes the pray and believe even more. Something about that I like. Even if it doesn't work out. Some are too cut off because of insecurity over emotions. Some Christians will say that you want that deep cutting, tear-jerking kind of faith and believe with that sense of urgency and really, that is a missing component.

Glad for the reminders all around, but the funny thing about Pollyanna is that this was actually her Glad Game entirely! Her life was very difficult, then she was orphaned, and she struggled to look for the good in everything, but did it anyway!

Actually the Catholic table grace is general enough in wording to use for all situations if you change the pronouns of the recipient. Bless me, O Lord, and these Thy gifts which I am about to receive from Thy bounty, through Christ, our Lord. Amen. I like that idea, it’s an easy way to stay connected to God in a tangible way. Every good and perfect gift is from above and He does work all things out for our good -eventually we just find it easier to see in retrospect. Now that I’m older my hindsight is pretty impressive...thank you both!!!

I intercede for a departed loved one on each of the 10 Hail Mary’s. Thank you for your suggestion, we need to be more mindful of our suffering brothers and sisters on the path to Heaven. Life is pain, the damnation that follows is eternal pain. Anything that interrupts the pain for a moment now and then is just a fleeting thing, making what follows worse for the contrast when I remember what's to come.
