Great video. I'd like to add MIDI to my Organ Pedalboard to use with a Native Instrument VST and for this I want to use a 25-key controller. I'd like to know if you can give me any additional help to this video since you seem to be an expert and I only play the organ haha. Please let me know. Regards

Hi! What do you want to know exactly? The midi-fying part I think is well explained in this video. All you need is reed swithes and a keyboard electronic (midi encoder).

amazing work. i think i might have to learn how to do this since off the shelf midi units like this cost upwards of 1500 usd. grateful for the tutorial.

This looks like a very good method, but it looks too complicated for me to do. I would like more detailed instructions, do you have any or know who I could get them?
For the last 10 years, my pedal board has worked by taking a used, from from Goodwill, midi keyboard, building a little ledge above the back of the pedal board, and running wires from under the keys of the keyboard to under the pedals, so when I push down a pedal it pulls down the key. It's worked well but I always wished it didn't have the wires so I could have a pedal above the keyboard for adjusting the sound, etc.

The best way to make a midi pedalboard in my opinion is to use magnets and reed switches. You can see in this video how I did it with another pedalboard: ruclips.net/video/Y4bZTsvlJ2k/видео.html&ab_channel=538Dorian
I hope it helped! Thanks your comment.

@@8Doriene Nice, I am building a conceal right now, but using reed switches for the Pedalboard is great, thanks, God's blessing.

How do the "buttons" that trigger the notes work? What kind of signal needs to be sent from the keys down the wires that are soldered onto those parts?

The pedal keys operate with reed switches and magnets.
