I have an original GT6 sitting out in the shed which I used for many years. Interesting that some of the sounds coming out of the Core 1000 I can actually get from the old GT6 (excluding those nice shimmer verbs and delays.) and yes, the drives and distortions are quite a bit better in the Core. I don't know if the Core 1000 offers the "feedbacker" effect that the GT6 had. It was actually a great effect. When recorded in a mix it sounded spot on.
You are a brave man doing videos for every single preset :| There are some duds in there for sure. And I feel like the particularly cheesy Boss fx-heavy presets give Zoom a run for their money in the gross department. In a next level way, perhaps lol? But there are some killer tones to be had in the 1000 series. Good stuff.
I know I just wanted to do it just to show people what is "in the box". Please stay tuned because I am about to start releasing some videos that will turn the Boss world upside down. Coming soon I promise.
Oh not at all Sir, we're good. I didn't read anything into it at all. You're right, most of the factory presets are duds. There might be a good 10 in the whole bunch if that many.
No they are a little different. You can compare them here: static.roland.com/assets/media/pdf/GT-1000CORE_sound_eng01_W.pdf static.roland.com/assets/media/pdf/GT-1000_sound_eng01_W.pdf

This is awesome!
I'm hoping I can make some cool lead synth and ambient pads patches with this as well as emulating my rockman x100!
This little wonder box can be tweeked to match anything in the Axe and Quad Cortex...and alot of people don't realize it...
there are so much good tones out there

@@GlennDeLauneOfficial Don't misunderstand my comment. If you are :) It is a good video series. Its just a lot of presets to go through on your end!

171 - Sandstorm!
I take it this will not work with the boss gigcaster with the 1000 built in.
Are the presets different than on the GTK?

These things always make me want to give up original music and join a cover band😉
I prefer the 100 series to the 1000 series
Boss multi effects seem tooooo “HIGH-FI”
It definitely needs some tweaking Mojo Chad. Which I am about to reveal !! ;-)
Sweet brother sweet!
Eww; tonal clarity.
Gotta know how to use them to tweek the tone...
