- Since 2019 More details have been released and this layout is slightly different, along with the size of the layout being incorrect in this video. A new 4-launch roller coaster for Parc Astérix in Plailly, Pacardie France is opening in 2022-2023. This Intamin-made ride (Model # LSM Launch Coaster 51-1075/1361) takes riders through RMC-like elements in a 1-minute 40-second adventure that is pure fun from start to finish. Rocky Mountain Construction created new ride elements that park-goers had never seen before when they started hitting the scene after their Texas Giant conversion in 2011. In just 7 years they've taken the industry by storm and changed the way companies design coasters. It's not always about highest and fastest anymore. Now Intamin has adopted some of these strange looking elements into what looks like it could be the best coaster in the world. The 2 LSM launches are utilized a total of 4 times on this journey, taking riders through a 101-degree drop with a stall at the top, a top speed of 66mph (106kmph). 167 feet (50 Meters) and a length of over 3500 feet (1075m). The park decided to add the new ride after being impressed with the addition of the Intamin coaster "Taron" at Phantasialand.

The ride also is billed as including the most unique elements on an LSM ride (30), the most launch elements on a coaster in Europe including the launches in the half-pipe after the ultra-fast side switch, allowing forward and backward launches into a "Cliff Hanging Experience." 23 Airtime moments are felt along the ride's path.

Considering the length of the ride + the lack of stop zones, i can already feel the 3 hours long queue for this one.
its ok Parc Asterix runs their coasters on maximum capacity so should be fine 😂
I live in 45 min of this park and there is max 45 min of waiting every season if you do the ride at the good moment of the day

I went to Parc Asterix yesterday and i witnessed this coaster building up. The track is already set up. I can tell you that even without trains rolling, you can feel this is going to be terrifying.

LSMs are much more reliable and with weighted trains, it should have a lot more momentum as it goes over

French coasters sucks... There are only 4 good : Tonnerre de Zeus at PA, Oziris at PA, Hollywood Tower at Disney and maybe Space Mountain... Goudurix at PA shakes a lot too much it's so bad ! By the way I'm french too but i want every body can seen this so sorry for my english 🤣

this ride looks absolutely amazing it has a lot of elements that the length of it doesn’t look boring or lame coming from someone in the GP I can’t wait to travel to France and ride it lol *insert eye roll*

This coaster looks pretty... Jurassic... If you catch my drift. Seems pretty... adventurous... If you're on my islands with this. Seems like.... the exact ride design for the upcoming 2021 Intamin LSM-launched Jurassic Park rollercoaster coming to Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure.
And possibly sea world if rumors are true

The track has to change so fast if not... and it looks like there’s a chance of a rollback too. Obviously it’s going to be a safe ride and just seems like everything has to happen fast and without issue

There’s already one ( or 2 I think ) in China running calling soaring dragons and as far as I know it opened without any issues and ran the whole summer smooth also. I think intamin has been working on their issues. And deserve a chance at redemption.

Looks like a better/upgraded version of Pantheon at Busch Gardens.
I feel dizzy just from watching this ... and i love extreme rides. In addition, to how fun it may seem. By the looks of it there can only be like 2 Trains running.

Sort of but this is more to the ground like if you look at steel vengance the airtime is all elavated

My one question is the speed over the top hat, it looks in the animation like the trains are braked over the crest, which feels silly coming right after the double launch

@@Assassunn even if it is automatic a malfunction could happen and there could be an alternative way to transition the ride perhaps with an operator
Chiako pretty sure if it senses it failed to switch the track properly then the magnets before the loop will be reversed to bring it to a stop before it can crash into anything

This is nuts! Also two questions: 1. Why does it have the intamin trains on the off ride but Mack trains on the POV? And 2. Why does it slow down so much on the top hat? Wouldn't that cause some problems in windy weather?
I didn't know how to change the fin style, and it needed the launch fins in the middle for the POV, so I switched it over to the other train type for that reason.
The brakes that slow down the train are far enough past the crest of the tophat that it wouldn't be affected, it's already on its way down when those brakes are applied.

That roll at the end... sheesh 😍 if the profiling is the same as the video, it's very reminiscent of the Mosasaurus Roll on VC. Seems to incorporate the best of both Pantheon and VC into one, wish I lived nearby to experience it.
The repeating No Limits 2, rock texture has a special place in my heart, haha. I like the ONE straight hill 2:34 (even it's entrance is curved) towards the end. Like its making a statement: "I am unique!"

train is just the default one for the coaster type in NoLimits 2 but rhe track will almost certainly be identical as its the same model

This looks great, my only problem is the top hat. It’s cool, don’t get me wrong, but I’d increase the speed of that third launch so it goes over quicker. As the other comments say, it's a rollback waiting to happen.

I have a bad feeling about track pieces moving around while the train is on the track, and that the trick-track move at 1:37 is going to herniate someone's disks.
It's a similar trick track to Pantheon's. It's quite fun.
