When I saw the link I thought it was the version I have on vinyl tucked away somewhere (hopefully still got, I've had some tunes stolen over the years) - and your description re: guitar / strings sounds spot on. If I do have it I guess I'll have to start uploading some tunes on here for the first time... That wouldn't be a bad place to start!!
Is there another mix by Spiller of this tune? I've got it somewhere on a disc but have never found that version since!! It's doing my head in tbh, it sounds like this but doesn't have that guitar in, it has those strings which are found here 1:33 going through the tune instead of the guitar which is very low in the background if i remember rightly!
