I have been doing it the wrong way for soo long. This helped me in no time. I was able to showoff to my friends who kept using "flippin double" to chop
You Dont Have To Clone The Second One Just When You Start Click Play & Press 'P' On The Keyboard AT THE SAME TIME, & make Shure When You Start That The Second One Is 1 Beat Ahead. =)
If you want the secondary deck to be off a beat then just loop it once and it will be exactly off one beat. That's what i do instead of rotating the deck and syncing it.
Thanks. been wanting to since i had no chance since i was 17 and i taught myself n was used to VDJ6 and some c&s i had on my old channel DutchyVegas420 were iigh but this helped a shit ton thanks so much man.
EVERYBODY GO INTO YOUR VDJ SETTINGS LOOK FOR KEYBOARD SHIRTCUTS. FIND CROSSFADE CHANGE TO LEFT ARROW (crossfader goes left) change the other crossfader link underneath that one to RIGHT ARROW (makes crossfader go right) There you go left aerow crossfader foes left right arrow crossfader goes right. Enjoy :)
Depends on the song. Some songs have such a slow bpm its better to go to effects and lower the key its in and keep the tempo where its at. But still follow all the cloning rules.
hey, this vid was really helpful. thanks for posting. I was messing around with the mapper to see if I could reprogram the spacebar to control the crossfader so that when I pressed spacebar the crossfader would jump from one deck to the other - but so far, no dice. Would you know how to do this correctly? Maybe I'm messing it up somehow...
(I'm assuming you mean lowering the bpm one one so it goes slower then the other) I'm new to this myself, but if you play on different bpms it might sound good the first cupple times you switch over with the cross, but over time it will be really out of sync and just sound really bad. What I do is I have both in the headphones and play the second one a beat after myself, and just hope it sounds good. I like it this way because you have full control of how big the delay will be between the two, and depending on the song and pitch you might want the gap to be a bit longer or shorter to make it sound clean. Hope I helped!
Bruh, this is a great video, but what the hell did you do in that last step? It looked like you barely even moved your cursor or did anything. Right now I'm just using the beat jump to chop, but I'm hoping to figure out how they do that signature 3-peat thing that's so common in screw. Either way, thanks for the tutorial man!!!
@freelunch24 the easiest way to do it when i first started learning it is to have one deck 1 beat ahead of the other. You should use headphones that way you can hear exactly what you are doing. hope that helps.
@ama2343 the easiest way to do this is to set two buttons as the crossfader, one for 100%, which is the right side and the other for 0 %, which is the left. since i also like to nudge left and right, i actually have five buttons for the cross fader in this order: [ 0%]--[ -10%]-- [50%]-- [ +10%]-- [100%]
Make hot keys. There is an option to make most any key on a keyboard(button on physical mixer ect). Select a to skip 1 beat ahead then another to 1 beat back and then its easy to get set up for a chop right after a bring back a brake whatever. Hit sync then more the track not playing by hitting the skip beat +1 hot key
once you have cloned you song just hold the record on one deck and let the other one play and let it play one beat then let go off the one you were holding

to chop just use the beat shit on top n drag the blue one a lil ahead of the red one so the long bar goes over another
cool

I'm finding it really hard to put the second track a beat ahead by spinning... any tips on an easier way.... or am I just gunna have to practise more
once you have cloned you song just hold the record on one deck and let the other one play and let it play one beat then let go off the one you were holding
cheers m8
how do you switch from the two decks without having to drag it ive seen people do it but i dont know how?
@CHOPPERSUlT The first deck has to be playing before you can clone, maybe thats the issue? idk
How do you record this?
Already bro,good tutorial(One Hunit)
where can i download that brake?
It ain’t screw if screw didn’t do it.. RIP DJ SCREW. But I understood the tutorial. This will slow the track down and make a chop.
your gonna wanna set a cue point for that cuz once you scratch the second deck is gonna be further ahead then the first.
whats the diffrence between chopping ans slowing down the song? or is the same song?
thanks bro youre the man
Hey do you chop and screw songs?

thill b sikk
@187LongBeach Lullaby by Fabolous
