Unfortunately my friends, this is where our time in OLR will come to a pause... Whether it's the mod itself, the translation mod, or both... the game's performance and stability has been pretty poor. Combine that with the hard-core elements, and what we see in this video (the complete lack of direction).. honestly it's been tough sledding. I had hopes for this, I really liked the OG Oblivion Lost, but this has just not been fun. I have another much bigger project that I'm trying to put time towards, so I can't give OLR the time it needs. For now this'll be this. Maybe soon we can pick it back up, but it may be some time.
Hey Wavey, love your videos man. It makes sense that this is such a different experience from the Oblivion Lost you remember - it’s actually a completely different mod from completely different authors. That being said the 2.5 version of this mod is far more stable and enjoyable and doesn’t have an overload of hardcore mechanics. Maybe that might be worth a try in the future.
I don't think I could handle the artificially inflated difficulty in this. Different batteries for each device? Seriously? Just walk away before you drive yourself nuts.
I love Dead Air. No other mod really captured the dirty and grimey feeling of the Zone for me. I miss setting up my shelter in the basement of the houses in Rookie Village. My sleeping bag, my cooker, a light and a stash that could not get stolen.
I get why you would drop this mod. I've given it long pauses too. To the point that i haven't even finished yet. Constant crashes, hardcore difficulty and bad translation, made me want to give it long breaks. One of the only reasons why i haven't really dropped this mod is because i started with 2.5, and that one was actually pretty fun, less content but it actually felt nice to go through. 3.0 is fun when you already played through it enough tho. Hopefully you a have chance to go back to it.
I don't remember space limit in OLR/Vector of Alienation? Because that's a thing in some mods like Dead Air, AREA and Road to the North - and it's causing random items dropping from backpack. Quite annoying.
Hey dude, if you'd like a more enjoyable STALKER experience, I'd suggest the mods Call of Chernobyl with IWP + IWP Quests + immortal companions mods. It's a lot more of an "original" STALKER experience with less jank, less survival elements and less suffering. Also, you can easily activate debug/dev mode in the launcher, so if you get stuck you can grant yourself temporary teleports, weapons and so on.
you could try OP2 if youre feeling like enjoying some pain or you could go for some Story mods like spatial anomaly or Incubator and dreamcatcher after it, they arent crazy long but 100% worth playing them.
Wavey, Im complaining. My cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing, and your just not being funny enough. I want my face to tear in half from laughing. No the mod has been struggling so I feel it, thats fair. Awesome to see this gameplay nonetheless 👌 I appreciate it G.
I totally get dropping this, or at least pausing it. The way I see it, there's simply so many STALKER mods/challenge runs/games inspired by the series that you could try, so forcing yourself through one that just isn't working for you (or working at all) is way too masochistic. As fun as it can occasionally be to watch someone suffer with a game, seeing someone having a great time will always be more enjoyable.
want to see what is really pointless? gamma with a broken balancing and economy and removal of mechanics to give a false impression that the repair system is good.
i dont see an issue in you just not finishing this. even watching this was clear you were in no way having any fun. the mod is porly made and you should not play it. focus on a more fun project

Honestly, i think. OLR 2.5 was way more fun than 3.0.
Hopefully they update 3.0 more in the future.
I would suggest something like OGSR GA for a more polished look into slavjank (it also has guides online that are still accurate for problem quests)

@@GoozE26 yeah i’d like to see if I can track down 2.5 and give that a run first
Yeah, this mod looks more confusing than Goldsphere. If you're looking for something take a look at Dollchan

So, Dead Air it is. At least that mod gets going right away and keeps up the pace.

I think we will, I may try to track down 2.5 and start with that
I just don’t have the time (nor patience) for this right now
The slav jank is real might try it out myself though the hardcore shit seems fun....for a time.
finally a new torture video
Poor guy is getting raw dogged by this game literally 💀💀💀
you should try VoA, it's a mod build on old olr 2.0 but it's a really good mod
I don't remember space limit in OLR/Vector of Alienation?

you could try spatial anomaly
or INCUBATOR, both are pretty good story focused mods

I love your Masochism

you should try OGSE
you r not choosen by this build sir you shall not pass
Lol
Nah,this mod pointless.Economy,gunplay, exploring,usless.

atleast olr 3.0 have a good reason to exist since it's based on old design documents.
@@ahobacha Gamma is fun to play and doesn't crash every 30 minutes, this mod is a pile of horse manure.
@@ahobacha Those old design documents were scrapped because they're garbage.

The majority of stalker mods are trash jesus christ lmao.
