I have this jersey in the off-white and the chartreuse. I wouldn't wear this in the winter without mudguards! It's a decent piece of kit - my only criticism is on it's own the sleeves don't offer the same protection as the main body so I find my arms get cold. I can understand why Rapha didn't want to line the sleeves but it's not ideal.
I see what you mean about the arms for sure. For me I don’t mind too much, it helps regulate heat a bit more. On the mud guards side! Fully agree! I try to save this one for the dry cold days but doesn’t happen often. The dirt really makes its way into the jersey and I regret missing that in my review
@@cyclingunboxed You can machine wash these but it's meant to be on a gentle cycle because of the wool content. You could try soaking in Biotex if there are some residual stains. The Rapha Brevet Windblock Jersey does have nylon protection incorporated into the sleeves but the nylon is on the outside. I think Rapha resisted adding internal nylon to the sleeves on the Winter Jersey because the sleeve would need 2 seams - aesthetically this would not look so great + it would be difficult to manufacture. I wear mine with a jacket in colder weather. The other options would be with a long sleeve base-layer or with arm warmers but for milder cold weather it's fine on it's own. Nice review.
Great work.
Thank you.
I’m glad it could help.
Super jersey, just ordered the bue one :). The white has the problem of being stained by the grime from the road :(
It does! Badly. I reserve it for dry cold days only
