I thought I had gotten the brush tip, but I got the bullet Sharpie marker. I love the foam tip! 😍 It works even on Amazon paper with very little ghosting! 👍 I have trouble with the hard nibbed Poscas chewing up the Amazon paper. I'm very happy with them! 🥰 I'm not sure I need both at this point, but, yes, more colors!! 🌈
💯 with you on more Sharpie Creative brush. As always, thank you, thank you for your hard work. 🙏 May you become sponsored, you and your husband/teammate deserve it! 🤗❤️👍🏽💯
i bought the bullet tip ones and one cool thing i found is if you color with one color and color over it with another color, it totally obliterates the first color you used... so if you go over a line with the one color you can fix it with the adjacent color. or if you want to put a design over a color, like a dot or swirl, you can't see thru it!. Thanks for your review , very informative. I looked at the Karin markers but can't really afford them, nice to know Sharpies are comparable for less money.
Thanks for doing this. I remember getting Karins years ago and thought how wonderful they are so saturated. Then I realized too juicy, literally dripping out. These Sharpie creative seem like a great alternative.
The brush nib looks very interesting. I really like how it looks on black. White is kind of a I wish the Karan weren't so crazee. Lol thanks for sharing.
I have a "price friendly" marker obsession! I am not an artist enough to spend that much on pens, pencils, markers. But these NON-BLEED sharpies seem totally GREAT!! I don't do brush lettering. And now am torn between purchasing the brush or bullet. I learned calligraphy a lonnnnggg time ago. But with a calligraphy (hold at 45 degrees pen) I have TRIED so hard to use brush markers for calligraphy, but I think I am too heavy handed. JUST A BRUSH SMUSH MESS!! These colors GORGEOUS!!!!!! I don't need...but want to buy!! The no bleed through is AWESOME! I usually use either 28 or 32 lb paper (depending on crazy amazing prices now). And am guessing that the two that you compared were the extreme thin paper, and the extreme thicker. BUT THANK YOU! These colors are just GORGEOUS!!!
I instantly bought the sharpie the moment you got to the no bleeding part. This is really a game changer. Would be great for cards. However, if you can, please can you demystify for us the difference between acrylic version and the 'water' version? I was super confused when buying them. I bought the acrylic hoping that it will be more opaque...
Looks like the Sharpies are a budget friendly winner. I think I'll give them a go sometime. I'm not so sure that Sharpie's are trying to compete with Karin. Karin pigment markers are not acrylic markers like Sharpies & Posca. According to their info they're die-based ink and that's likely the biggest reason they're so much more expensive than the Sharpies. By their price point, I don't think they're really aimed at casual acrylic marker users Thanks for the review!
I am actually really impressed with both of them having watched your entire video. I also am very impressed with how you did your test of the pens. You were so thorough and it just looked so professional and so I subscribed. I would love to buy some of these, we are struggling through the current economy so feeding my family is the top priority now but as soon as that turns around this is on my list of things to get! Thanks so much for your review!
I don't think you can ever go wrong with Sharpie. They are a good make and always work well, regardless of the type of marker or what you're using it for. Thank you for the demonstration 😊
I’m not much of marker user, however, I just wanted to compliment you and your informative video that provided important details from start to finish. Thanks! ❤
I bought the brush tip Sharpie Creative Markers, same price at Staples. I wanted to try them on black paper I was buying. They were fine. After watching your review I checked them on the two coloring books I am working on and no bleed through!
I'm pretty sure the most popular posca pen is actually their 3mm or the the once in between the .7 and the 3 (I can't remember exactly what size), both of which are foam tipped. From what I have seen, the foam tipped poscas seem to be the most popular, so sharpie is likely trying to compete with them.
I didn’t know they had colored ones! I got the sharpie creative marker but it only came with white and black. Got them from Walmart. I’ll have to get the colored ones as well!!
It's funny how depending on what you use these for what you think of when saying bleed. I bought them since I primarily use them on wood. I never thought of bleed through as referring to paper. They bleed slightly on wood, but not nearly as much as a regular sharpie does. It's all perspective. Thanks for the thoughtful review.
Thanks for sharing your perspective. These markers get used in a lot of ways. Have you tried sealing your wood before applying the paint. That may help the bleeding issues.
I was going to buy the Sharpies but didn't because I love working with a finer nib-.7.Maybe I'll try the Sharpie brush nib in the future. Your videos are always very informative. They answer questions I have about a product quickly with precision. Big thank you.
This was a really nice, really thorough review. As a big swatcher myself, it was also interesting to see another person’s swatch system😊 good video! I gotta admit I’m pretty curious for the price point about adding these to my inventory….
I just wanna say that I loved your review it really helped me make a decision on which ones I wanted to choose and I am a coloring book artist and I am going to buy the brush tip ones I actually need more then just 12 so I’ll be buying 2 of them to make a total of 24 which is what I need and I love how affordable sharpie is making these for us but I can agree with you on that is we definitely need more colors because I’d love to see sharpie make a metallic and glitter brush tip markers in this line as well as bright neon colors too in this line of markers because we will need more verity in colors because they are gonna be so popular that they’ll have to make more considering they’ll be flying off the shelves so I hope that they’ll end up making more colors because I’m having to purchase the Artistro markers because they actually have a glitter set of 12 paint markers and they also have a set of 12 metallic paint markers and that would make a total of 24 that I’d need for my art supplies because I need some glitter and metallic markers to brighten up my coloring pages in my books because my supplies I had before wasn’t doing any justice for my art pages so I decided to up my supplies and I got rid of all my old stuff and I bought new stuff the only thing I kept was my prisma colored pencils because ever since I bought my first box of those I fell in love with them because they work so well and are so pigmented and go on my pages in my books so smoothly and they don’t break easily like my crayola colored pencils did so all I did was I threw away my prisma pencils that were broken or too small and I bought 2 boxes of the 24 set so now I have plenty of those to last me a while now and I haven’t had a brush tip marker so that’s why I had to do my research on which ones to get before I buy because I need a really good brush tip marker for details and blending and I am looking for a good glitter and metallic marker for pop of color so my pages can stand out and I hate bleeding through my pages so this is definitely a win win for me thank you and have a great night
Is there a reason why you didn’t try the POSCA brush nibs? they are actually like real brushes is sort of like the ones you find on those paintbrushes that hold water. They don’t have a very large colour range but that would’ve been closer. To the other two brands work and feel
If you let them dry for at least 30 minutes, I've found no smearing. If you go over them immediately with water, there is a very SLIGHT smudging(and that's with a pretty vigorous brushing).
Nice video. I think they bullet in no way compare to the posca. The only thing I didn't love about markers is no names. I talked to Sharpie about names so many they will start talking about it?
I'm so suprised that the Karin decobrushes still work as the nibs are fragile and mine nolonger perform well at all. I find the Sharpie Markers are more resilient and would not recommend the Karin markers at all!!!
Does the bullet nib haver more paint in it that the brush tip that is thinner. I mean its fatter so why wouldnt it have more paint in it. There has to be a reason its 2x the size.
Haven’t gotten them yet but I’m sure they will- I have asthma and I hate the smell but they won’t be too close to my nose unless I get curious of their smell. I really hope the smell disappears after a couple hours or so during using them or after you used them.
I thought I had gotten the brush tip, but I got the bullet Sharpie marker. I love the foam tip! 😍 It works even on Amazon paper with very little ghosting! 👍 I have trouble with the hard nibbed Poscas chewing up the Amazon paper. I love the colors, especially the greens but I agree - more colors please!
Thanks for doing this. I remember getting Karins years ago and thought how wonderful they are so saturated. Then I realized too juicy, literally dripping out. These Sharpie creative seem like a great alternative.
That berry lipstick is fabulous for your skintone! Beautiful! ❤
The brush nib looks very interesting. I really like how it looks on black. White is kind of a I wish the Karan weren't so crazee. Lol thanks for sharing.
I am thinking the bullet tip I would feel like I would have better control ❤
Great review. I would like more colors and shades, too!
I bought both bullet for my students at school and brush tip for me at home. We love them for their quick drying and value!
I'm getting the brush nib. Thank you for reviewing these. I will be using these for my homeschool mixed media art class.

I have the full set of Karin Decobrush Markers and the majority of the nibs are dried out .. and they don't sell replacements nibs.
I am actually really impressed with both of them having watched your entire video. I also am very impressed with how you did your test of the pens. I think the bullet does still compete with posca as the normal most common posca has the same type of nib. I think only the finer pens have plastic.
I’m looking forward to this one. I’ve wondered how good these new Sharpies are! Thank you Jennifer and Steve in advance. ❤️
I have the brush tip Sharpies and they do well on painting rocks. My only complaint is that there is no brown! We definitely need more colors!!
But the rocks can't get wet or the color design is lost?
WOW, for the color and price point, I'm going with Sharpie!🤗
I don't think you can ever go wrong with Sharpie. They are a good make and always work well, regardless of the type of marker or what you're using it for. Thank you for the demonstration 😊
I’m not much of marker user, however, I just wanted to compliment you and your informative video that provided important details from start to finish. Thanks! ❤
I’m going to get both sets to try out. Looking forward to seeing how they perform.

Per usual, great review!!!
I just ordered the brush markers per your recommendation
Liquitex also has acrylic markers

Perfect timing 🤗. I needed to see this video!
Can you layer over each other? Like a red apple & you want to put some white highlights on the apple- will red bleed through the white?
❤love all the tests you put them through! Especially in comparing brands. Thank you!
I didn’t know they had colored ones! I got the sharpie creative marker but it only came with white and black. Got them from Walmart. I’ll have to get the colored ones as well!!
I love those lungs, from the first time I saw them advertised here in my country, I bought them and I really liked them
Hi Jennifer! I would buy the Sharpie brush tip. From Judy in Nova Scotia, Canada Thank you!
I think if you love these you'll love the GuangNa range! excellent and half the price

Those look nummy! 🥰

Your videos are always very informative. They answer questions I have about a product quickly with precision.
Big thank you.
Thanks!! Great info as always 🎉
Just got me some earlier this week....curious to know for the sharpie markers, can I blend the colors or just over lap them?...
You should do a review on paper Mate ink joy gel, pen, 36 color set we would all like to see that
This was a really nice, really thorough review. As a big swatcher myself, it was also interesting to see another person’s swatch system😊 good video! I gotta admit I’m pretty curious for the price point about adding these to my inventory….
Are they similar to Posca? Ink wise, do they color over colored pencils?
Yes, they do. And they color over each other once the 1st layer is dry. They work great when used with/over colored pencils.

Please pull a marker apart ! I am more interested in the brush tip pens. Thanks, Jennifer!
Do they reactivate if you add water to it? Curious if I can use along watercolors.
If you let them dry for at least 30 minutes, I've found no smearing. If you go over them immediately with water, there is a very SLIGHT smudging(and that's with a pretty vigorous brushing).
Curious as to whether these creative markers have or don’t have the traditional “Sharpie” smell?
Nice video. I think they bullet in no way compare to the posca. The only thing I didn't love about markers is no names. I talked to Sharpie about names so many they will start talking about it?

Don't tease me. I'm on the no buy. LoL 😂
Do the sharpies have a smell/stink?
Haven’t gotten them yet but I’m sure they will- I have asthma and I hate the smell but they won’t be too close to my nose unless I get curious of their smell. I really hope the smell disappears after a couple hours or so during using them or after you used them.
Thank you ! I will be buying the brush Sharpies. I wouldn't have paid them much attention, lol its your fault. 🤗
Lamento muito desejo o melhor pra vocês e o estado
Note
It looks like your Sharpie links both lead to the brush tips. Please correct when possible.
