    Jennifer, Thank you for another honest non-biased review. I have been eyeing the FC Pitt pens for a while now, but do I really need yet another marker, NO. I recently went back to coloring in my books and needed a marker that would not streak or bleed through. I think this will be a great cheaper alternative for sure! How do these react on cheaper Amazon paper I wonder; can you do that test for us? I just love your reviews!

    OMG! Jennifer, I've got to get these markers!!!! Woo Hoo! I'm just as excited as you are. Very nice. I'll be using them in my Kerby Rosanes' books. OMG, no bleeding!!! What a game changer for real! I love Staedtler for this! Thank you for the awesome review!

    These look very interesting. I love the FC Pitt brush pens, & look forward to comparing the two products. One benefit to the FC Pitt pens is that the colors match all the other Fabre-Castell products. This is helpful if you are combining different mediums on a page.

    Just the information I needed as I have been looking at these for a while. Although I have some of the Pitt brush pens which I like a lot, I did not make the connection to the Staedtler. That makes me want them even more. One thing you didn’t mention, which in a way makes the Pitt a better buy, is they are not open stock. In the long run I think open stock saves money by being able to buy new pens as they run out, not a whole set. That being said there are some lovely colours in the Staedtler sets so I am not writing them off! Amazon UK has several sets of 12 eg cool colours, warm colours, pastels etc as well as the set you have but I’m not sure if some of them might be duplicated. So thank you for your helpful info and I’ll give it some more thought.

    Hi, Jennifer---Loved your review. I have and enjoy immensely my (albeit expensive) F-C Pitt Pens---but I am so impressed by the intensity of Staedtler's pigment in each pen. A writer, below, says that 60 colors will be available June 25th this year---that is great, as I do like to have as many colors as I can. (Greedy girl!) I also wish the pen itself had as firm a cap as the Pitt Pens--but if they are so much less expensive---they are well worth looking into. Thank you for a terrific reveiw! I can't resist a new product!❤Lynn in NYC

    I bought these and they're wonderful! The problem is a few of them were dry. When was absolutely unusable it was so dry. The other two were not far behind. I returned them. I bought pitt pens instead. Those did not do anywhere near as good in the coloring books. They went on streaky and were pilling the paper in the same coloring book I was using. It makes me realize how much I love the staedtler pens. They do sit on top and don't soak in to the paper. They don't streaky when you put them on either. It just looks so much better in the coloring books. Instead of buying them on Amazon I decided to buy them on Blicks hoping they'd be a little fresher even though I don't think they are that old. I saw other people with reviews on Amazon that have the same issue as me but I just love these pens!

      I had the same problem with dry markers. In fact, 9 of the 36 were bone-dry. SO disappointed 😢 Any tips or suggestions on whether or not they can be revived?

    • @pw1669
      @pw1669 6 месяцев назад

      @bethmccusker7130 I tried dipping the tips in water but it didn't help. I am hoping by buying them at an art store instead maybe they would be better. Maybe it was the way they were stored. I love them so I was willing to try one more time. I noticed the pitt pens on Amazon are like $92.00, on blick they are $160.00. It makes me wonder if the Amazon ones are fake. Maybe I'll call steadler's customer service and talk to them about it. I bought the Earth set earlier and I love how they perform. They seem different and not as streaky and the new pitt pens I bought on Amazon. Maybe it is my imagination though.

I wish they had even more colors because I have a bunch of Johanna Basford books as well that I wish I could use marker in all the time! I discovered your channel when I went looking for ways to improve my coloring talents without markers inside coloring books. Side note- I think these marker names/colors match up with their other color markers as well. At least they look like they match the triplus and double ended. Though the double ended aren't named.

    These look really exciting! I've had the PITT pens for awhile but rarely use them. Looks like both could work great together to have a wider range of colors. Where did you get the plastic sheet you're putting behind the page you're coloring on? I usually cut glassine to fit, but that looks like it might be even better!

    • @Msboochie2
      @Msboochie2 7 месяцев назад +1

    • @twozsinapod
      @twozsinapod 7 месяцев назад

      @@Msboochie2 Interestingly enough, I bought them but am probably returning them because I find the nibs too fragile compared to the Pitt pens. These are very different than Pitt pens. One of the most fabulous things about Pitts is that they you can smudge them to get fantastic depth on top of your pencil work. And they do dry relatively quickly and become ‘fixed’ and waterproof. You can also blend them beautifully with other (Pitt) colours if you work quickly. And let’s not forget they come in the exact same colours as Polychromos and Albrecht Durer.

    When did these come out in the U.S.? I came across these online probably 3-4 months ago at least. It may have been on retail websites that ship to the U.S. from China and Japan, though, so if they released earlier in Asia that could explain it. If this Joanna person who put out the coloring book is so great...then why would she put artwork on BOTH sides of the paper? Almost sounds like a ploy to make people buy more than one copy of the book! I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be snarky, but I am extremely suspicious of ANY person who calls themselves a professional and makes such a rookie mistake. I am honestly wondering here. The books are cute, but that one thing is enough to keep me from purchasing them. What if you wanted to frame the pictures? This is just a major deal breaker for me. As far as the Staedtler pens...they look great. Is the ink used the same as the Pitt pens? Is it fair to compare them? Again, I didn't see it addressed. It is nice to have more than one offering from different companies...it keeps everybody honest...lol right? Thanks for the video!! Also, just FYI the company name is pronounced "stet-ler" not "stat-ler". Please forgive me...it's the german in me....lol. Have a wonderful day.
