Hi Adam! Thanks to your videos I have widely improved on my writing skills and I got excelent results in the Toefl simulation. Greetings from Bogota. Thank You!
Sir Adam, with all respect and appreciation, I would like to inquire something: what is a noun clause and in what way it is different from an adverb clause? Thank you very much for this little gide. Best regards from Ukraine. Please, accept my sincere gratitude towards your divined work.
A noun clause can be used as a subject, object or complement. It begins with that, what, who, and so on. An adverb clause modifies a verb and starts with because, although, if, when, and so on. I'll try to make videos about this.
I will be very grateful for explaining those. They are quite confusing, and unfortunately, there is not so much information about it on RUclips. @@WritetotheTop
In addition, the distance learner can better manage HIS time to both study and work as HE will have less pressure… WHY DO SOME TEACHERS PROHIBIT THE PRONOUN “HE/HIM” IN SUCH SENTENCES AND STRONGLY RECOMMEND WRITING “THEY/THEM” REFERRING TO A PERSON, WHILE THE OTHERS USE “HE/HIM”? Which is correct?
Technically, he/him is correct (as is she/her). Some teachers recommend they/them to avoid offending anyone. These days this has become a problem. The easiest fix is to use plurals when writing about general things. However, pay attention to your teachers' instructions. If they ask for they/them, use those pronouns. It's not worth losing points because they have a problem with pronouns.
We love you, we respect you, and we appreciate you.
Ditto :)
This is a very underrated channel. I like this channel

“… to switch to work-from-home-models …” - please clear up, do we actually need the last hyphen? Thanks for the video
Good eye :) That's a typo. There should NOT be a hyphen before 'models'.
