    Hi Josh, I am writing this comment to thank you for helping me get a good score for TOEFL. I got 29/30 for Listening, 26/30 for Reading & Speaking, and 24/30 for Writing. The total was 105/120. I prepared in less than four days and I watched only your videos. I did not take any other online courses. I learned exclusively from your videos. So, thank you very much for all the support! 🙏

      @@InnoVal1703 Hi
      I took two mock tests to see in which sections I struggled.
      I followed only one book, ' Tactics for Toefl' by Christien Lee.
      I watched lots of online tutorials.
      The Speaking and Writing Sections are all templates. TST Prep has them all. Watch them and practice. You will be fine.
      For listening, you can just focus more on listening rather than note-taking. Only write figures and steps.
      For the reading, could you try practising as much as you can?
      I can check your essays if you want.
      Peace,

    Hi Josh! Thank you for your input. I prepare for an exam with the Official Guide for TOEFL iBT (6th edition, somewhat outdated). I realized that in the task "Integrated Writing", the Score 5 Response doesn't outline the information from the reading passage AT ALL. The author selects a valid point from the listening part that casts doubt on the points made in the reading passage, describes them and - no sooner than in the last sentence of the paragraph - makes a reference to the reading part by stating "This contradicts what the reading passage indicates" or "this was another part where experience contradicted theory". I was shocked to see that such format was evaluated with top score, but does it mean that we can save time by omitting the points made in the reading passage and instead just find the relevant points in lecture that would cohere to what was said in the lecture? I hope I made my point clear. The Response option resolves the handicap for us and gives us more time to invest in taking notes of the lecture and paraphrasing its content.

    • @TSTPrep
      @TSTPrep  Год назад

      Great question! There are several acceptable formats. The format you are talking about is valid but very advanced. It is very easy to do wrong and miss part or all of an answer. You can get a full score with other methods. Of course, feel free to use the method that works best for you.
