Very nice repair indeed. I got an idea while watching the video that maybe is worth trying. The new cable seems thinner than the original and it will probably break again. I guess it could be nice putting that cable inside a paracord to gain some resistance. I've seen that in some cable mods for keyboards, computers and stuff and could be useful in this case too, especially in headphones with exposed wiring like these. Also, tying a knot when the cable is already inside the ear casing could help to prevent damage from pulling the wires.
Thanks to your help i was able to desemble the the headphones i thought i wold fonde the but i see that all the cable connected so i don't know what could be and the problem is that left side doesn't play sound only right they turn on and charge so what issue can it be?

The cable seems to be broken near the left ear, so I guess I could somehow “uncoil“ the coil to lengthen the cable? Wouldn't want to buy a new cable and stuff. Do you think that is doable?
There is no sound on the left side of my Major 4 headset. Can I open only the left side to try if the connections are working or do I have to open both to use the multimeter? Thank you for the video!
Thank you for the nice repair. I recommend not to use the 10 cord cable. Just get an old micro-USB-cable. Have a look on the diameter of the cable. It has 4 cords and a shield - so you have 5 cords. Cut off the USB plugs and use it for the headphone.
a lot of usb cables not as durable and flexible as headphone wires, so I still recommend using headphones wires, which can also be used from some damaged or just old ear buds with mic.
I repaced the cable of my major2 but I have some issues. 1- The headphone name CSR-bc7 now on bluetooth. 2- joystick does not work only voice down. 3- Microphone does not work. 4- No purple or violet light. 5- Does not charge Where can I find the cable arrangement according to cable color?
@@TechscrewDIY Yes I alredy did it. But it works improperly. I am suspicuous I made a wrong wiring. Now I need correct wiring chart. I found one. If it works I will write here.
@@koray1986can on both bords are contacts name(function), just before soldering check new wire, is there no short circuit, and then just solder, one side bat+ red wire, and the other side the same bat+ red wire, and so on, until all contacts both sides are connected.
0:30 where is the mentioned link? :D Your cable looks pretty smart small. I've only found an affordable cable which is arround 5mm in diameter so far. Btw, i've the Major II Headthones and there u need in deed all 10 wires in the cable, cause in the Knop is also at the other side. 5 wires for the Knob (NEXT, BACK, PLAY/PAUSE, VOL+, VOL -) and the 5 you need ( VCC, GND, NTC, SPK+, SPK-)
My cat broke the side cable. I will send it to the technical service. is it possible to fix it? Does it give the same sound quality after it's done? I'm so sad because I'm a student and I gave all my money to this headphone :( pls help

you need as many wires as there are or more, but not less. Because if you do that with less wires, the headphones will not work some functions.

you need both side boards contacts connect with the same color wire both sides.

repair don't affect sound quality.
Why not just pull the new wire in with the old wire when you pull it out?
you can try, but I've never succeeded :( so I didn't want to show what I'm not doing
Just a suggestion: i prefer your voice over this robotic one, it was satisfying and made your content more enjoyable imo

This design sucks, it's the second time the wires broke at the hinge
try not fold them. Just glue hinge, to cant hold the never.
